That seems like extremely useful and sensible advice. Any ladies reading this and getting started with a web site I recommend following Raquel's advice. I'd tweak one thing and say if you can't find a Canadian company at least find an offshore company, not a US host. One other tip. This comes as a client. Keep your site fresh, rotate your pics, maybe do a weekly blog type post, anything to keep me interested in coming back. Keeping your name fresh in the clients mind will generate bookings.

I have the added benefit of being a web developer with my own hosting (getting to finishing my OWN site, that's a challenge though.) I do recommend, if you go this route, make sure you are with a Canadian company. All the laws against are in the US. Also, a small disclaimer saying something along the lines of 'these photos are artistic representation of the model', or similar, can take away any attempt to label them as obscene or pornographic. Don't use obscene or pornographic images on your regular site pages. Have a member's login area for that 😉 A good disclaimer is always nice to have too. I have not posted much lately but this one stuck me as needing a supportive post. It’s the old story. You get what you pay for. If anyone in any line of work is not satisfied that she is being properly compensated how can anyone expect quality service. For me, it is the genuine quality of the experience and the human connection. If you are honest, discrete and provide a quality experience, word will get around and I am sure you will attract quality clients for whom cost is not an issue. Only you know what you need to feel that your compensation is adequate. Anyone who wants to argue over rates is simply disrespectful.

Are you telling me my rates are too low? O.o It was common practice in Calgary to charge $300 an hour, but I found in Vancouver I wouldn't get a single call for that rate. I checked what other ladies were charging when I got to Halifax, and it seemed to be a good and fair rate for the area.
