My answer is more about taking care of yourself over balancing. Self care and self respect. I'm elaborating for folks who may be questioning how to balance their lives as it can be exhausting. I feel it's chalked up to who you are with and your general lifestyle as a whole. Some folks like to keep work and personal completely separate and some prefer the latter. I can't speak for anyone else on this. I'm incredibly picky with who I let in my life regardless of personal or not and it's from toxic relationships as a whole. To me balancing my life means putting myself first. Doing so has enriched my work life and personal life. I'm a nester and homebody with the odd need for adventure, I seek out folks that are looking for mutually beneficial relationships with me that don't require to have to hide any aspects of myself or feel the need to push for intimacy. I see it no different than if I worked in a stressful office setting. I make a shopping list and do my laundry just like everyone else. However, sex work is very vulnerable work to me. I'm not looking to slander anyone's name. Im just looking to save the wallets of anyone thinking about booking with Charlie. She was very pushy on having an e-transfer deposit first. Which I don't always mind but I have never met her before and to my better judgement sent her the deposit. After about 2 hours she wouldn't respond to texts and blocked my number completely. It's really sad this happens as often as it does to new clients outside the HRM areas, I honestly think they look at us as easy targets. Im not gonna say any other names but I know for a fact alot of the girls that have ripped me off in the past are working girls In there own areas. So if you can take anything from this if your outside the HRM then be very careful on doing outcalls even if theres proof there real. Good chance your buying a ghost!

It is up to the client to check their phones/devices for whatever messaging system a provider is utilizing. As for me, I got sick and tired of the bs serial ‘book a time and have no intention of showing up’ scenario. We all know those guys. I have directly in my ads now that I ask for a small deposit as a way to dismiss intentional no shows/no calls. I don’t double book, I set my time for you which means I can’t book someone else for that time. The deposit I ask for covers the cancellation fee should you need to cancel for any reason, or can be used as deposit for a reschedule. If I cancel, however, the deposit is fully refunded to the client, as the client shouldn’t be punished if I can’t make it. Read providers ads and/or websites very carefully as usually the policies are there for you to see. I do discuss this with every client. Basically, don’t waste my time. A small deposit is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
