This has been a major topic of discussion (OK maybe not lately) on CERB/Lyla and it's within Lyla rules to discuss I am even reminded of a major thread a few years ago regarding negotiation https://www.lyla.ch/topic/55719-negotiating/ As for the rules about discussing negotiation this is what the rule says (copied/pasted after link) https://www.lyla.ch/faq/ Discussing or Negotiating Rates in Public A:Discussing or Negotiating Rates in public is not welcome, this includes commenting in public that you feel the providers rates are too high or low. Asking for senior or student discounts, asking for discounts for just going for a coffee or some other reason that you feel the provider should charge less cause your asking for something less involved then others would ask the provider to do. if the provider posts that no negotiating is permitted and you pm the provider asking for a discount that provider can report your pm to the moderators if offended. If he/she does not post that rates are firm you may pm them if you feel the need but be warned most find this very distasteful. Your better off to keep looking for a provider asking a rate you are more comfortable with. Rates are for the time they spend with you not what you do during that time so it is rude in many peoples eyes to ask for a lesser rate to do something less involved then others may do, commenting or asking for discounts can be personally insulting so please do not do this. --------- While not the Mod IMO this thread topic is within Lyla rules and certainly not out of bounds to discuss. I usually walk in with a couple of coffees in hand that way if I need to ask at the desk they assume I'm taking coffee to a friend. Maybe I should take a cake with birthday candles or something. Guess I was never too worried about it. Maybe I'll get a pair of dark rim glasses and fake mustache next time haha

I have had two ladies in the Halifax area contact me out of the blue and it is very unnerving. Both fairly experienced SP and fairly popular. One I only seen once. I just very politely told them I wasn't in town and that I would contact THEM when I was. I've haven't received a text since and I haven't reached out to them since and probably won't. Discretion is a must and out of the blue text is not cool, especially where cars will read your text to you while driving and who knows who is in the car with you. Scary.

I give instructions on where is best to park and exit as well as best form to enter and directions to the elevator and my room. I try to make it as fluid as possible for anyone visiting me.

It isn't. There have been posts like this from providers who are sick of people trying to haggle with them for as long as I can remember. I have no doubt that there will be more in future, because some things - unfortunately - never change. What's not allowed is posting and discussion of any particular provider's rates. It's unpleasant when people start to say things like 'I don't think she's worth that'. And even if people just post rates without comment, providers can and do change their rates whenever they please, and so those posts can get out of date and misleading pretty quickly. That makes it a lot easier for everyone if they just don't happen.

Wow, it's been a while since I've done a recco. I've been following Jane's posts for a long time with great interest, as I'm sure have many members here. But I never did correspond with her. At the time she was a rare female hobbyist on Cerb. I noticed only a few days ago that Jane had decided to become a provider. I didn't waste any time and contacted her right away. And boy, am I glad I did! I finally met Jane a couple of days ago, and what a wonderful time I had! I prefer a GFE session, and it doesn't get any GFE-r than that. Another great addition to the YFL team. Was the first to see her on her first visit to Halifax and it was fantastic. She is even better looking than her photos and has a great body. I'm not sure that hotels would enjoy being featured here, and I know you mentioned that it would need to include all the hotels in the area, but once this road started to get traveled I think we run the risk of putting providers in a bit of danger if anyone started to reply to the thread with "Hey, I'm heading to the Hilton on Main Street, where are the elevators?" Suddenly, it's outed that a provider is there, if you understand what I'm getting at.

I Disagree, a Service Provider should be "Nerver Ever" contacting a Client For a Booking, Ever! Weather the Times are slow, money is needed.. Whichever.. There's No Excuss! Maybe I'm Different, Maybe Me Thinking Discretion is 100% on BOTH ENDS is Different..but I Highly Doubt it! I know I've already posted in this thread a couple of times, but I just visited Sarah again and felt she deserved a bump back up. If you have seen her recent profile update with the photo in the satin robe, let me tell you, the photo, while amazing doesn't hold a candle to seeing her absolute glory in person. I was taken aback when I walked in and I'm not sure if she noticed but I actually had to stop talking for a moment while greeting her because I was left speechless by how spectacular she looked. Not that Sarah needs to rely solely on her looks, the conversation we have is always great, relaxing, and absolutely feels like seeing someone very special to me after a time away. Each time I see her, she just becomes more endearing. This most recent visit will be one that I'll never forget.

Hotel lobbies are generally similar to each other. I think the main point is to just walk in, go past the front desk without making eye contact, and the elevators will generally be right there or there will be a sign pointing the way. The way not to do it is to go to the front desk and ask where the elevators are, or to awkwardly hangout in the lobby looking around anxiously. Hotels usually don't make a habit of hiding infrastructure like elevators. If you are unsure, you can always look up the hotel online ahead of time, and look for a photo of the lobby. It should help make you feel a bit more comfortable 🙂

I've been contacted a couple of times by a couple of SPs I had seen in the months prior to. The texts were obviously business related, but it threw me off at first. Ask her flat out. Nothing is wrong with open communication and making sure both of you are on the same page. Keeping things clear and understood on both sides keeps both of you happy. Most of the time, I will reach out to a client, if I have been given permission to do so. In the form of communication of their choice (text or email). If I need to reach out randomly to someone, I keep it to 9-5 and keep it civic professional. On those occasions its is with someone that I have seen multiple times and we have repour built.
