@Janebondage What I will humbly suggest is to announce your arrival somewhat before hand (eg a week or so before) That way the lovers in SJ can be prepared & free up their schedules I have been told by travelling companions that lovers in SJ can fluctuate - at time there is an avalanche, and occasionally, a drought ! Good news RG! Having hung around a sport/orthopedic physio I've overheard her giving advice to folks who are both pre and post knee replacement. (All three of my kids see her, along with most of their national teammates and dad sits in the waiting area, lol) Get as strong as you can in preparation for surgery. Don't want to cause further damage but see your physio for an exercise program. Purchase a cryocuff for post surgery treatment - maybe good for pain management for pre surgery. Again, ask your physio. There are small pedal devices for working on range of motion while seated. Surgery is no silver bullet but with preparation and hard work you'll have the best outcome possible. Best wishes and happy fishing!
