Stopped by the Barefax this week, late, around midnight. It was funny, I did not know where the women were, if they had gone, or were all upstairs, or on break or whatever, and there were only a dozen or so patrons. But an hour later, around 1, there were dozens of patrons and a dozen or so women. Pretty cool for a Wednesday night! Best advice Talk to providers from here that have recommendations. Talk to providers with a real online presence. When talking to providers, talk to them like they're human beings. Do your research first and follow their guidelines. If you feel uncomfortable about a situation, politely take yourself out of the situation. Yes there are a lot of scams out there in the industry, from both sides of the equation (client & provider).

Here are my pennies, since I've been to all 3 multiple times. Thompson has been my favorite out of the 3, buy services are the most limited there. I am semi-retired, but when I do post and get a request for an outcall, I do ask for a $50 deposit to cover my travel costs in the event the address provided turns out to be fake. Years ago, when outcalls were the norm, we would verify a client's address using his name and phone number provided in the white pages. If he was at a hotel, we required his full name and room number and would call back the hotel to verify he was there. Rarely did clients balk at this request otherwise they would not be accommodated. Presently, due to the fact that landlines have become almost non-existent, it is virtually impossible to verify someone's address. I have fallen victim to prank calls where the address existed, but no one answered the door, or some unsuspecting person like an elderly lady one time, answered the door. Or the address was that of a condo or apartment complex that had unit numbers that I was unaware of when I booked the call. And then when I arrived, the person did not answer the phone. Once bitten, twice shy. When someone does call from a hotel, often they are reluctant to give their real name or don't want to give out the room number insisting that I call them back on their cell when I arrive. That is because there are providers who are willing to take the chance that the call is real and will book this way. There is no way of knowing whether said person is actually at that hotel. I did it once in Burlington to a motel that is literally 5 minutes from my place, and I got pranked. Never again. Other than my presence on Lyla, I have no website or recent recommendations so it is really up to them if they want to take a chance on me. If not, I am quite content to stay home and not waste my time driving needlessly to a destination just to find out I have been pranked. I know other providers who are not verified who also have a similar protocol. Often we hear stories of how these men have been scammed in the past and that they are for real and we can trust them. My response to them is, so you want me to trust you, but you aren't willing to trust me for $50? If I was going to scam you buddy, I'd be asking for the full fee and then I would disappear off the radar. I have a history and don't want my time wasted anymore than you do. I feel for those who have been scammed, but that is not my problem. i

I do see both sides of it. There are so many "deposit scammers" out there that I can understand why some guys run from deposits as fast as they can. I hear it all the time. On the other side of it though, if it were my business, I'd absolutely consider requiring deposits. Time is their product and if it is wasted, they lose it forever. Just remember that there is a huge difference between booking an unknown from LL, and booking with an established lady. You don't need to develop hard and fast rules that apply to both situations. The bottom line is that if she has invested years developing a reputation that is her livelihood, then she is not going to risk that over a $50-$100 deposit. Would you risk your career and reputation over 50 bucks? I would not. It just wouldn't make any financial sense. That said, if you can't find any other information on her (verified of not), then I'd move on. The challenge on our end is being willing to spend a little bit of time doing research to be able to tell the difference. In most cases it is obvious.

I now require a deposit to secure my time for both In and Out ... I now do not have to deal with no shows thank God! What some guys don't seem to understand is that we also have families and other priorities so if we take the time to see you and you do not show up it's frustrating and takes time away from that and possibly a genuine connection with someone else I recommend you do your research on the lady of your choice making sure she is indeed reputable before just randomly sending a deposit Good luck 😊

Thank you! You have everything right. DO your research! It'll be the fastest and easiest way to verify the provider. Do they have more links to other profiles, website, Twitter, Lyla, ect? I know a few ladies that run a non-verified ad for an extra ad. Or they want to test a new area here without commiting a large amount of money. Do a reverse check on the photos. There is a great thread for how to her on Lyla. Google the name and phone number, does it come up with the same information or something else? I have made deposits mandatory for new clients as there has been too many time wasters and no shows during covid. It's also added an extra layer of security for myself for knowing who I am seeing. My no show/cancelations have dropped to less than 2% since implementing it. For me it's been worth it. If I have someone saying they don't send or scam, I give them lyla.ch for a good start of research and tell them to have a good day. I have done all the work to verify myself for you, active website, Twitter, Snapchat, and presence here on Lyla. You just have to spend 5 mins to 30mins verifying me. Then politely introduce yourself. Yes, there is scammers out there, but just like we have to research anything else we want, do you research and it will help you 99% of the time.
