The ad for Lacy Rose appeared last week, and stuck around for 5 days on LL. There are links to a well-crafted website, a g-mail, and a Twitter account. A deposit of 140 is required via e-transfer, which is sent. When the respondent to the ad shows up at the appointed location, a large apartment complex in Charlottetown, no reply is forthcoming to his arrival texts. Finally after 20 minutes, a heart-wrenching text is received from another text number, indicating that her handler is showing up shortly, and he is hard to reason with, that she cannot return the deposit until 4 days hence, as she has just sent funds to family in Chile, and has maxed out her weekly e-transfer quotient...and so on. However, no refund has appeared in 6 days, despite repeated requests, and no responses have been forthcoming to the refund requests. Now a new ad has surfaced from one Lana Fox, with the same content and same pictures, but a new contact number. All contact numbers are in a 437 area code. The scheme is very elaborate, and the ad and website mimics true escorts so closely, that the forgery is very difficult to ascertain. The pictures in the ad all have blurred facial features, or do not include the face, so no reverse-imaging is possible. Within the ad are several screenshots of text exchanges with very satisfied clients; likewise on the website there are reviews from satisfied clients. This does not in any way diminish the appropriateness of true escorts to require a deposit for their security and well-being, though; or the need to not show their faces in their ads for similar reasons. It does make it super difficult to weed out the fakes, unfortunately. But the empty space in the mark's wallet, and the absolute fact of the no-show from the lovely Chilean lady are the facts. Do exercise extreme caution. It is important that the community continues to report these scams, despite how embarrassed one might feel about being duped.

Let me chime in. First of all, Lyla has been bought by leolist...for the better or worse...but this is the fact. Secondly, Lyla is NOT a review board and negative comment is not allowed thus if your reco sounds like a review with all the juicy, explicit details, it won't get approved and published. Thirdly, credibility of the poster. The moderator might see the poster's IP address, the "duration" and the content of his/her post. For example, if someone joins Lyla at 11 am on March 28 and directly post a reco of a particular provider at 11.15 am on the same day. His reco most probably will not be published. Another example, if a reco sounds like as a marketing campaign with over the top wordings for a particular provider, it won't most probably be published either. The worst scenario, of course, when a provider write her own reco with the same IP address, it definitely won't be published. And so on It's tricky huh 🥴 Allie Zeon

IMO the moderators have abandoned the site, but it remains the best archive I know of valuable guidance. It's primary function is to enable those who do research to find it and make informed decisions. Otherwise, the scammers own everyone. Real recommendations do matter. My first was rejected because I was new, and the (wonderful) companion has disappeared. I do have recommendations for some Thunder Bay providers but all have established reputations with reviews here so no need to say "Me too!" (-- Amy, Rose, Brooke). IMO the lack of new recommendations is that total participation has fallen off. Lyla now functions as an excellent source for NS and NB. The clients who are here know, but the majority are never here at all. Think about the hundreds or thousands being scammed every day. I have read very few warnings of scammers because there are so many, and 99.3% of victims never find Lyla or have the courage to admit being scammed if they did. The structure is excellent, and the intentions worthy, but without active moderators, no wonder Lyla is stagnating. But your core point it valid. If you are here and if you are able to recommend a SP, why not do so?

deposits - I will ask for a deposit only if it is for an outcall, or if a client has booked me without showing up. asking for ID - I will only ask for ID if I have a weird or uneasy feeling. but if my gut is strongly telling me not to see them for a session I will listen to my intuition. I personally ask for a call of confirmation before giving out my exact address. I like to hear who I’m going to meet, and try and get a vibe through the phone call. if that isn’t enough I will ask for a picture of their ID (of course with address scratched out.) if that is an issue for anyone inquiring about booking then I will simply turn them away. I will only do these things for my safety. I understand both sides, each meeting a stranger.
