I have been thinking of something similar to that myself actually. Like some type of feedback system where you could acknowledged the SP like a "vote for me if I am your favorite sp" or something like that... and the vote shows as a popularity level meter or something... but I am afraid it could be abused to easily.

Rude Comments? Those were not rude comments by any stretch of the imagination. I think a few members may be making fun of your question as it is so obscure but if you go back and read your own question (and title to the post) you should see why they are joking about it! Your initial question was not well thought out so everyone was trying to figure out what you meant by that. Really, read your post again and pretend you are reading it for the first time in someone else's shoes? See our point? I am pretty sure that most black ladies are born that way. If you ask information on a black female none of the members are going to send you recommendations about tv's/shemales. (It's ok to say that here - it is not rude or offensive however asking for a black lady who was born that way may be offensive to some as it's very far from politically correct) Take the time to read your posts before you hit the submit button (You will get a much better response if you do). I had no idea what you were asking for either but the other members beat me to the posts and esoterica figured it out. Judging my Kyra's comments she had no clue what you were asking either. The rule here is if you have nothing nice to say... say nothing at all, that is correct and the members did not post anything rude that I can see. Chances are if you are this easily offended (and can not realize you made this mistake) than I would have to agree that this site may not be worth the hassle for you as you will need to take a little more time when you post so that your posts are more clear (or you are going to continue to be disappointed). If you see where your post went wrong than maybe these comments will help you fit in a little better around here and enjoy the site.

Thursday Part II of the Server Upgrade We were not able to do it all in one night (Just too many files and a few unexpected problems). We started the migration at 12am Wednesday and it has taken much longer than we anticipated so we have decided to split the migration into two nights to ensure cerb stays online for the peek hours. Thursday: Part II of the Server Upgrade Problem: Cerb may go offline for some people due to IP and DNS changes. Same notice as yesterday: We will be switching out the current main CERB.CA server with a new (Much larger) server as it is due for a upgrade. The new server is a 64 bit platform as opposed to the current 32 bit OS so the site should be MUCH faster when searching the database and loading pages. At this time the site is slowing down around peek times when we have 500+ people logged in at the same time. To make sure the transition goes smoothly we will be suspending access to the site before we start the switch. (This will stop any posts from going missing - we hope). It could take several hours to complete the update so we are going to start the update around 12:00 AM and hopefully have the site migrated to the new server by 5:00AM to avoid any inturuption to the site during peek hours. If you visit the site and get the "Closed - Maintenance window" notification then just try back later as some of the DNS will need to be changed and the server will have a NEW ip address. NOTE: Some people may have problems logging in for the first day or two because of this DNS and IP change. If you log in and are shown a notice that the server is down for maintenance after 5:00AM just keep trying as this means your ISP or your COMPUTER have stored the DNS and IP of the old server. This will eventually reload for you and allow you back in (Some people it could take a few hours and some people a few days. AOL for instance use to cache the DNS for many days at a time and I am not sure if they do this still or if any other ISPs do this still. Usually it's 48 hours at most)

Thanks for answering that one etasman2000! It's nice to have fellow geeks on board! (APEX!) etasman2000 is 100% correct, usually the problem is with your ISP (Like rogers, bell, etc.. - whoever you pay for internet). They are support to update the DNS at least once every 24 hours so if you get locked out keep trying. Most of us set our DNS servers to update about 4pm in whatever timezone they are located in.

See if you can navigate to the folder where the pics are and try opening one. Note the file size as well (If it's showing as 0kb than it's corrupt and will be difficult to recover but any showing more than 0kb have data so try to open them)

True, but for us cream lovers that 18% heart attack cream they use is wonderful. -
Is it just a few files that are corrupt or the directory structure? If it's just one or two photos chances are they are lost but you can always try a sector-by-sector recovery program if the drive still runs. Here is a free program that should help you see what is recoverable PC INSPECTOR. If not you may want to look at a more serious program program called "VirtualLab" but try the free one first as it may do the job for you.

To the Mrs who like Negotiating
mod replied to Miss Maria's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
That sums it up - great comment. I have had nasty emails from guys when I voice my opinion on this subject here. Some guys think it's their god given right to negotiate everything including escorts - and often these same people are the ones complaining about the service or giving bad reviews. I just shake my head and think "You Idiot". Some people just do not realize how insulting this is and that "you get what you pay for" when you negotiate a "Service" of any kind. Most SP's will take this VERY personal as you are pretty much saying "I don't think you are work $$$ but I would be willing to pay $$. (You can't get much more insulting than that - talk about hurting someones self worth) - I do NOT allow people to complain about a SP's prices here on cerb. If I find posts where someone is complaining that the ladies prices are too high I simply delete the post and send a letter to the person who felt it nessassary to comment like this in public. (Often I remove these people as they reply back to my PM yelling at me - I have no time for that foolishness) If you try to negotiate with a service provider or any kind (Sex worker, Contractor, web designer, etc...) you really end up getting what you pay for ... or nothing at all. If by chance you do find a lady with a "pay less option" you would be a fool to think that you will have the same quality of service as someone willing to pay full price. -

Great feedback guys and it looks like the iphone may be the only phone that will be able to run chat any time soon (as far as I know no phone exists with a flash player - but if I am wrong please let us know about it) It was the TOP 10 previously on the front page so as per Dummpy's suggestion I removed the reputation and made more info show for the top 15 newest posts - I will see if I can work in the new members too. Thank you for the feedback
-
I must have missed these threads. Can you PM me some links to these threads so I can review them. If you find a thread like this just click the "REPORT POST" icon to flag the post for a MODERATOR to review it.
-
1) New members can not effect your reputation level. 2) I agree, the front page may be redundant, just using it to launch this new feature so we can really see if it will be used properly and become helpful. Again, I see potential let's give it a try and see if we can iron out the bugs. 3) Shill rep points would be backed out. If you suspect this please PM me and I will review and remove if necessary.
-
I made it clear that if someone "Calls out" another person in the threads because of the REP points that I would suspend them for doing this. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. If I find that someone is abusing the rep points they will also be suspended. Now, I can't please everyone so every time I make a change to the site it upsets someone (it never fails) thankfully on the other hand usually 10 people thank me for every 1 person who complains (and I can live with that). If I make the wrong choice (I am human) I will make adjustments and if I get 10 complaints for every 1 good comment I would obviously re-evaluate my decision. My decisions are based on what I personally think will benefit the site and the members (Not everyone will agree with me ... and that is fine, everyone is entitled to an opinion). I think the rep points can be valuable here if not abused (and I will remove anyone who is abusing them as that would be immature) others may not see the potential yet but I am not doing anything here to sabotage the site I have the sites best interest in mind at all times. Personally I want to give the rep point system a fair trial run, let it run for at least 6 months and try to work out the bugs, if by the end of the 6 months if it is not benefiting the community I will remove it from the system. For the record the SCALES have been on the posts for years now but very few people ever noticed or used them until the reputation level meter was introduced along with the upgraded REP system. I can easily turn the system on and off so after the 6 month trial I may decide to remove it (we will have to see). Now... I appreciate the feedback and it is always welcome. However, what is not welcome is someone DEMANDING that I change or remove or add something here or someone trying to voice his or her opinion as loud as possible. If I see another PM or POST that is TELLING ME that I must change/edit/delete/remove something I will not be diplomatic when I tell that person where they can "shove the demand" and likely that person will be booted as I find that disrespectful. I will even take the time to give that person a link to the company who makes the chat software so they can start their own discussion site and run it how they want to. (Hope that is clear enough) If you do not like something simply be polite and tell me why (SHORT PM's are better as I don't have time to read all the threads these days or long winded PM's - sorry I am very busy - so I may miss your post). Just PM me and explain why or make a friendly suggestion. I will listen but I will not always do what you ask and often the suggestions are great but not possible or out of our budget at this time. I will however take the time to thank you for the suggestion and I will take it under advisement - always. Please do not be angry if I do not do what you ask or suggest. Sometimes it is not possible and sometimes I don't agree but I do consider all requests and listen to all feedback and suggestions.

Did you suffer from CERB withdrawal today ?
mod replied to whatsup's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Sorry, it was our fault. The domain name registrar had our old credit card expiry date and the domain was set to auto-renew and the renewal failed because of the expiry date. The notifications were lost in our spam/bulk email folder so to our surprise the site went offline today. We got right on it and fixed it right away about by around 5pm EST pretty much everyone was getting back in. It did not effect everyone as some people's computers and some ISP's (Internet service providers such as AOL) cache the DNS so they do not need to lookup the IP address each time you enter the site. However anyone who's computer or ISP did not cache the site DNS was effected by this problem today. Sorry about that. We will try not to let that ever happen again. -
Yarrr...I would like to chat.

you do not have permission to access this page (Error msg)

Could be the SQL server load issue we have going on. Next week we are doing a hardware upgrade (Big one) with a quad xeon server so it should fix any of the load time issues and the odd error messages. Just too many people using the site at peek times... I am not complaining however. -
Unfortunately that is not an option on the system
