Keep in mind the REPUTATION system is still being worked on. I can make the comments public and adjust the weights... right now I am just playing with it to work out the kinks and the feedback here is excellent. I think we should make a list of things with the reputation system and vote on it. For instance. 1) Should who gave who reputation be public 2) Should who gave who reputation be personal (Only you can see who left you rep) 3) Should the comments be public or private? 4) Should people with MORE reputation have MORE Weight 5) New members currently start with 10 reputation points and 0 weight so if they disagree or agree with a post it does not change the persons rep (Should it count? or should they have at least 50 or 100 points before they gain weight) I can adjust the meters very easily and make 1000 the maximum or 10000 so the reputation may change drastically on each persons account once we find a good spot for it. The software that runs this mod is very extensive and to be honest I can't figure it all out yet so it's a lot of trial and error. Let me know what you all think and I will put together a poll. I have said a number of times this is all a TRIAL I can easily make adjustments to the system.

A link was sent to me by PM to a social network site (Like myspace/facebook) and it had her same photos that were used here on the site and a personal profile indicating that she will not be 18 for another 2 months I think it was. The page in question is no longer online so it could be (1) another SP or guy trying to cause a problem for her or (2) it could really be her ad and she is not of legal age. If she is of legal age than she can prove it to me and I will allow her back and add a note to this thread but until that time we must assume she is not of legal age to protect the members and me as I am sure I would have legal ramifications if she was allowed to continue to advertise on here and someone found out that her age was in question (If I allowed it to continue). Hopefully it was a fake personal data sheet with the same photos but either way I am not willing to chance it and I am sure non of the members here are willing to chance it either. Anyone under the age of 18 should not be involved in this business (in fact I still think personally that 18 is way too young but I don't make the laws - many agencies will not hire 18 year olds either and you will find ads for hirring 19+ only so I am not alone in thinking this way) If Sara is of legal age she should send me a email (I gave her my email address) with the requirements that I asked for to prove her age. If she confirms her legal age is over 18 I will announce it here on this thread to reassure everyone.

If you are reinstalling windows than just put the CD in and it should boot from the CD and ask you what you want to do. You want to install windows not recover windows or do a overlay. It should ask you about partitions. Delete the primary partition (C:/) By removing the main partition it will warn you that you will loose all personal data (make sure you back everything up first of course). When you say yes it will ask you to make a new partition and the size (or default is to use the entire free space). If you have a large hard drive (80+gigs) you may want to make 2 partitions but if your hard drive is smaller just keep it all on one. If you have a huge driver 250+gigs you will want more than one partition for sure. (Each partition is a new drive letter so you can split a hard drive and make it look like a number of smaller drives (One for music, one for photos, etc... but the main drive (C:/) is best to have the OS and the program files and should be at least 20gigs in size if possible. They recommend a minimum of 5gigs for windows XP I think and honestly that is not enough. ((If your drive gets over 80% full bad things start to happen! computer gets very slow and you can corrupt files and get blue screens as the tmp files need lots of room)) Now, if your selling your computer or giving it away you will want to do a deep format (Erase it all very well) you can find free utilities to do this (like: http://www.download.com/Active-Kill-Disk-Hard-Drive-Eraser/3000-2092_4-10073508.html?tag=mncol) most of the software from downloads.com has been checked and is virus free (Look for lots of downloads and good reviews) but you don't need this if you are keeping the computer as the windows install disk will do the fdisk (Format) for you once you erase and create a new primary partition. One of the other members here questioned her age so we have asked her to prove her age by photo ID and a validation photo. She claims she is legal age but when this is questioned (especially by a senior member) I must suspend the account.

Server updates and some adjusting on the mysql to optimize it. We have had to reboot the main server twice so far and restart the mysql server a few times. The server loads are off the chart so if the pages load really slow you know why. Looks like we need to do some more load balancing.

I just installed mythbuntu (Making a PVR) but still researching the best video capture to use. Wish it would work with digital cable to but chances are that is not going to happen with rogers. LOL..

We only see the public end of things (I can not read PM's) so I just have to make sure no one takes the comments the wrong way. A good moderator nips problems in the butt before they become a problem whenever possible. But I am only human. As for a review from me, that would be a big conflict of interest so that will never happen but thanks for the vote of confidence.

I moved this to a LINUX/MAC/PC forum as it's alittle off topic now from helping out Angela. Your Mac is unix based so your kind of in the gray area! ;) and you can run Paralles on it (and I love that) (http://www.parallels.com) It is true the install cd's are free and if you don't mind waiting - the shipping is free for standard snail mail delivery but you can download the DVD ISO and burn your own disks very quickly if you have a dvd burner (And really the bandwidth alone that ubuntu download makes available has to be very expensive as well as it's a HUGE download). That just shows how amazing to community is. I have used linux for YEARS now and have watched it grow. I have tried them all I think. Mandrake was my favorite for years and I even tried the Corel version but UBUNTU is by far the most commercial (home user friendly) version to date and it would rival the MAC in many instances. My issue is I hate using WINE to run PC programs and wish a program like parallels was available for linux. The commercial version of wine (cross over - http://www.codeweavers.com) is getting better by the day but I need photoshop and only photoshop5.0 runs stable at this time (I hate to admit it but I use outlook as well and it is not stable either yet but it does run on cross over - sadly it's more stable on a PC and that is not saying much) Back in the late 80's / early 90's I was a COBOL programmer for the city of Toronto (Unix mainframe - the old giant mainframes with the tape drives and 3 massive air conditioners to keep it cool and I worked on a monochrome dumb terminal) but I must admit I am a GUI person. I HATE command line stuff (Vim/VI/mc) and I much prefer the GUI and I can now comfortable recommend ubuntu linux as it is commercial enough and the GUI is familular enough the the average home PC user can pick it up (about the same as switching from a PC to a MAC - it has a little learning curve as things are done slightly different but it is famular enought that the average PC user can get online in about 5 minutes the first time they sit down on it and feel comfortable after a few days of use. The synaptic package manager is great and a few more releases and I think it will definatly gain even more popularity. I am sure the price of windows 7 will help influence the sucsess of this. Companies like Dell were giving customers the option of a linux based system too and some of the mini laptops have linux OS options as well ... so all that will help. The age of tablet PC's is heading our way I think. Bigger than PDA's but smaller than laptops, touch screen like apples ipod touch and comfortable to read news and surf the web on. (am I wishful thinking here? we will see soon enough but that is what my money is on).

I hate hearing stuff like this. This gives the site and members here a bad rep. I am sure slurp let her know that this was not true and hopefully she does not think badly of the site here because of one or two bad customers. (I am sure the site has also brought her a lot more very good new customers as well) I also hope she tossed them out of her place for being rude as well. Guy's who insult the ladies like this are NOT welcome here and I am sure they get told where they can go quiet often when they pull this shit.

I did go away for 2 weeks (I worked off the laptop while in Florida but I must confess I did not put my time in properly those two weeks as I hate working off the laptop...and well... I was on vacation) but I am back now and putting in my time. ;)

And that is why we give a 7 day suspension the first time. Sure 9 out of 10 people who get the suspension get banned again but that 1 out of 10 is what I like to see here. I don't want to publicly flog anyone (for the same reasons I don't want to have all the negative reviews here) but maybe I should re-evaluate that. It would add even more work to my job but if we are going to eventually have more moderators than this may be a good idea (Same with the chat room). I don't want people PM'ing me asking why someone was banned. So please do not do that... If they are suspended "They broke the rules" or are known bait and switch / scammers or were caught posting SHILL posts. Check the bait and switch section (if no warnings are posted chances are they simply broke the posting rules or got in a fight with another member - in this case they will be back online in 7 days or 6 months (depending if this is the first time or the second time breaking the rules and the severity of the rule broken)

Yes, as the site continues to grow it continually gets harder and harder to control and moderate but we have had these problems since day one. Just more people take notice of people getting banned these days as the site is so much more busy and along with the larger volume of users the incidents increase as well. I just get a little stricter with the rules and I depend a lot on the members to "report posts" and to "Report PMs" or anything I miss. I try to read everything but I do miss things when I am busy (Like today - being after a long weekend). the site getting more popular and more busy is wonderful but it's not a easy job to moderate it.

And well said cowboy! If everyone would flag these ridiculous PM's and let me know about the rumor chat comments we could easily find the person starting the rumors and remove them. Some people just get off on pissing other people off, lots of "Fresh out of high school" newcomers who don't know how to deal with adult things yet will resort to spreading rumors to discredit someone (that is very common in high school and you only know what you have been taught) I think sometimes us older people forget how rumors and back stabbing pretty much control the social standings in a high school environment. Some of these young guys and girls only know how to control social environments this way. They do not have enough adult life experience yet to realize how childish this is. - that is my theory of it anyway.

I have to stop this conflict between Brandi and E.D.man before it get's out of control. I don't like the tone of Brandi's last comment or E.D.man's comment - they are a little to hostile for my liking. E.D.Man, I think Brandi has a valid point. If a customer was to show up to the appointment with a cold soar or rotten teeth or really bad oral hygiene, or who knows what else... the lady probably is not going to let you kiss her or daty no matter how much you stressed it's importance prior to meeting as she had no way of telling you had this problem unless you were upfront about it. This said, if she told you she did it and refused when you arrived without a valid reason than maybe you should ask for a refund. Or better yet when you arrive you may want to say "Just to confirm you allow daty?" than when she says yes give her your envelope? If this is that important to you maybe this is something you might consider?? Brandi, E.D.Man has a point as well but I think it's coming across bad here in his post. I would hope that he means "It lacks integrity to say you will do it and you turn around and say no without giving a valid reason". If he makes it clear that he wants DATY prior to the appointment and he shows up and the SP says NO without giving a valid reason I think anyone would expect the SP to offer him the money back and end the appointment. I would also expect the lady to politely tell the customer why. If you told him you did a specific service and denied this service without reason that you would be ripping the customer off (I think that is E.D's point here). The term YMMV is used everywhere - in fact on the recommendations here it is always checked by default as it's a discretion call and no every guy will be offered the same level of services (too many variables exist). I think what Brandi is saying here is the lady always has the right to say no. YMMV is a polite way of saying "Yes, I do that but I reserve the right to say no when I meet you face to face". Even if YMMV is NOT posted on her ad she still reserves the right to say no to one person and yes to someone else but she should tell you before the appointment starts (if possible) and let you decide if you wish to keep your money and leave or stay with the restrictions (if she is willing to allow that). In the case of bad public hygine she may not know until the date is well underway and I would hope she would ask the client to take a shower. If you know your breath is bad or hygine is poor at times clean yourself up well before the date so you are not embarrased or denied a service. If you walk in with a bad jock smell or really bad breath chances are your going to leave a lot less happy. With that said, I don't want this to escalate into a problem. Especially since it is a little off topic from the thread you guys are having this discussion in.

One of the ladies involved in spreading a rumor about a member here was removed today from the site. It does happen and you should look at the source of the info and look at posts this person has made on the site. Remember anyone can create a account here and cause problems so be careful what you beleive and who you beleive. If you receive a PM warning you that someone on here has some disease or is misconducting themselves with the ladies or the guys and think that the person spreading the rumor is not credible just click the icon at the top of the PM in question and this will send me a copy of the PM for review. I CAN NOT read the PM's unless you do this but if someone is trying to slander another SP or a CLIENT by using cerb chances are this PM is going around to lots of people. So just flag it for us. Now, the SP ONLY area has only VERIFIED SP's in it. If something serious is going on with one of the members here I rely a great deal on the SP ONLY area for this info. We have had to remove a guy who was not conducting himself well with the ladies after a few complaints were posted in the SP ONLY area. This area is confidential but as a guy if you make it to the blacklist in the SP ONLY area chances are you will no longer be a member here. The great thing about the SP ONLY area is that if a SP reports somethign about a guy that is not true other SP's often jump in and come to his defence (This has also happened in the past). It's a community and every community and you are all part of the community watch program ;)

I changed it

She was given a 7 day suspension for fighting with another SP and when she got back she did it again (7 days was not long enough so she will not be allowed back until 08-04-2009). No tolerance for public fighting/flaming/slander/etc... and I do not care what the circumstances are you do not air out the dirty laundry on cerb in public.

I am wondering if someone is trying to DOS the server (A computer program that hits a page so many times over and over that is slows down the server and sometimes causing it to shut down or reboot). It's a nasty thing to do and you can pretty much do it to any website if you have a powerful enough server or two working on bringing down the site. I have noticed some bandwidth spikes but no reboots (yet) but this may explain it.
