I too was thinking the same thing but if that is true it does not look like one i have ever seen (and i have battled many dos attacks) ... Google did a huge update and that may be part of it, i am monitoring everything on this end. Server load is 2.5 and that is very low for 16 cpu cores. I may reboot the server a little later just to be sure.

Well... I think rogers is having issues today too. My internet where I am right now (and yesterday) was a little hit and miss.

9307 Unique people are currently on cerb (as I type this) I got a notification that the server load jumped so I checked the real time stats and sure enough... 546 members and 8148 guests (and 613 Spiders) SPiders are bots (programs) the crawl websites for data (google, msn, etc... this is how they keep the search engines accurate) so 613 connections are spiders/bots but 8694 are actual people! That is a record high (and it is making the pages on cerb load a little slower right now too)

I hate grammer police. I am guilty as everyone knows for bad grammer and spelling and if someone corrects me in public i will rip a strip off them... You know what he was trying to say.... Correction is not nessassary or welcoming here. In fact it is usually seen as hostile and unwelcoming.

The system now resizes photos to a THUMBNAIL size when posted on the site in public threads. This is something we are trying out. A problem surfaced with some ladies posting outside the advertising area and including a HUGE photos (obviously marketing where advertising is not permitted). Council and I discussed this and voted that ladies should not be permitted to include large photos that are obviously for marketing purposes outside the advertising area (this would have required new rules and policies and more policing these policies by the mods) So, instead of making more rules and policies (we have so many already) I came up with the idea to have all images re-sized to a thumbnail (a decent sized thumbnail) and you can click on it to see the full image and allow the ladies to post a photo either in the signature of the bottom of the posts outside the advertising areas (as long as it's not a blatant ad cause lets face it this site is a marketing site for the ladies as much as it is a discussion site for the guys). Basically we are testing it right now and will adjust it if necessary. Your feedback is welcome. For example this image below is almost 1000x1000 pixels when clicked.

This is something you would want to PM him to ask as they could be seen as negative and YMMV always applies.

I suspended access to the shout box to new UNMODERATED members at this time. The reason for this is we have a few people who get banned and come back with a new moderated account and are still able to post in the shoutbox (ads or crap no one wants on cerb) so the only way to stop this is to disable the shoutbox to new MODERATED members. Once a member has been on cerb for 5 days and has at least 5 posts the shout box will open for them to post. This is a good incentive to post too!

When you post a comment like this you need to be able to back it up. Please include links to where the photos were stolen from if you can. With a post count of just 3 posts so far and this potentially being damaging to the ladies business you really do need to be able to back this up with proof. Use tineye.com or other similar systems and check the photos. If it turns out her photos are real then I must ban you from the site when you make a comment like this.

EC pulled it after the complaints... apparently they are different ladies and Marissa is taking some time off. We suspect Diamond Rae may have been doing calls off Marissa's ad while she was away but of course we can not prove that (the complaints sort of indicated that)

It's funny how the very obvious stuff is sometimes overlooked. Four reasons exist that I know of why fake photos are used. I listed them from most common (being number 1) to leas common being (number 4) that I feel this is done... 1) BAIT AND SWITCH - some pimp / friend /agency owner is posting generic ads (Often in the masses) and often sending whoever is available to do the call at that time when many ladies are working for the same person/group 2) Scams & bad service. By using fake photos you can basically re-invent a new person every time your exposed as a scam or bad date. This also falls into the bad agency / pimp category but indies do it too. 3) They do not want people in their day to day life recognizing them. (Family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc..) 4) and what many guys assume is the reason is often not and that is Self Conscious of appearance. This does happen but it is often assumed this is the reason and it really usually is one of the above reasons and not this. Yes, Many ladies are very self conscious about appearance because of the stereotypes women face and lets face it most home photography (of self portraits) area not always the most glamorous shots... and ....professional photography can be expensive. The ladies are selling a fantasy so many ladies (especially new ladies to the business) do not see a problem with using stock photography of a lady they feel is SIMILAR in appearance for this fantasy situation (often it is pointed out to them the wrong they are doing). Many ladies got away with this for YEARS until tineye and other services started popping up.

I was told this was also Marissa Dawn (Same Lady) if anyone knows if this is true or not please let me know. Both Marissa Dawn and Diamond Rae had ads on EC so the Marissa Dawn one was pulled (and the Diamond Rae one verified her photos on EC so the photos are legit - at least on the EC ad)

The diary runs on a simple word press site and as a tech savvy guy you would have no problem running a site like that to expose the bait and switch ads. If you find any CONFIRMED bait and switch ads (Stolen Photos) you can post warnings in the warnings area as well here. It would only help your community. EC (Escorts-Canada.com) will not run ads for known bait and switchers either... Would be nice to see more Kingston content on EC as well.

You volunteering for the job? The recommendation area is for that but keep in mind this business has a LOT of turn over (Ladies come and go quickly and only a handful are in it for the long run)
