Follow up. New rules on tapatalk... This is what it says... We periodically delete forums with objectionable content that is accessible from Tapatalk Network Directory. Check this box to declare your forum contains such content and your members will need to enter at least 9 characters to lookup your forums from Tapatalk Directory. It is in the >Entertainment>Nightlife directory and you need to enter 9 characters so enter "www.cerb.ca" and hopefully that works (I will try it later with my tapatalk account when I get home)

So I did a little research. The following (Chart Below) tells me that roughly 5.5 percent of cerb users use the mobile system. So far this month that accounts for 3866 member visits by cell phone (excluding any ipad/iphone users who set the settings to identity a browser as firefox/safari) Out of those 3866 visitors 857 were tapatalk visits (I have a counter for that specifically) ... So... Just shy of 10% of all mobile visits use tapatalk This is higher then I expected! 10% is a lot and 857 tapatalk visits in 8 days is over 100 per day so maintaining it is a must. I will continue to try to keep it listed and running. I hate tapatalk. They no longer have a free version.... The thing nags every time... And they constantly pull it on us from the search engine.

True, 5 years is about the max we usually get but lots of parts along the way usually... I recall replacing one of the raid drives... one of the two power supplies... and a cpu fan died twice I think (probably other stuff - I can't remember) it's an ongoing effort to keep the servers running up to par that is for sure. Back in the day it was every 6-12 months as the hackers would be in the boxes (thankfully the team we have is pretty good at security stuff these days and they still get in from time to time but it's few and far between). We all love the core server that cerb runs on so much that we basically made one just like it for EC but with the latest CPU so hopefully we get at least 6 years on it. This is the second server this month I have had to decommission and migrate and the other one was 7 years old but low bandwidth. Right now I am just sitting here monitoring the servers to make sure the transition goes smoothly... if anyone notices anything funny please let me know.

For the last month the EC main server and the firewall server have both been taking a beating. The site traffic has more then doubled in the last year and basically it's way beyond it's maximum limits for traffic ... The 6 year old main server that runs the front end of the site needs to retire and a bigger firewall and switch has been brought in to handle to excessive traffic. So... we are migrating the site today.... so ..... as of today the management area (where the ladies log in to make changes) and the area to create new ads is offline. We needed to change the IP address of the server so this involves a DNS update (and can take a few hours to 48 hours... sometimes longer) but as this happens anyone accessing the NEW server will be able to edit the ads (As long as everything is working ok - We have tested the new system and fixed all the bugs we could find but one or two always creep up on us) Until the DNS is fully resolved odd things may happen on the site so I just wanted to let people know. The new server will greatly increase page load times!!! Dont Worry... Cerb runs on completely different dedicated servers so it will not be effected in the switch.

We DO NOT post the prices on cerb. The ladies can post ads if they wish with current prices but prices of any Service providers (massage/fs) is not to be posted by the members please and thanks.

The two sites are linked in many ways and the idea was for the two sites to work together in harmony but still as two different entities. Eventaully i think we will see more of a merge (like links from ec profiles to recommendation threads... Or some sort of symbiotic relation between the two.

EC is owned by the same company that owns Cerb... so my Opinion is Bias as I have worked with EC for over 12 years (they have been online since 1997) but I can say first hand that they go the extra mile to ensure the fake (bait and switch) ads are removed. All new ads with photos are cross referenced with sites like tineye and phone numbers, emails, ip address`s etc are also referenced to make sure the `bad apples` don`t easily get back on. **EC does offer a FREE 14 day trial and if a bad apple changes her name, phone number, email, goes to a new computer, uses new fake photos that do not show up in tineye, etc... etc... they can sneak back in so it is best to check on cerb first (and other sites) to get the inside scoop... unless you prefer to toftt. It is a lot of work for the cheaters of the free trial (and unethical B&S advertisers) to do all this so it`s very discouraging to them since places like CL-BP-DL-ETC are easy to post fake ads (Often many a day) and some guys like to roll the dice with these ads... why... I am not sure but the legit ladies know the value of EC! No escort directory can guarantee every ad is 100% legit but integrity is important to EC and they go the extra mile to reduce this as much as possible for the visitors. This is one of the reasons they have been around so long and have such amazing traffic. (A slow year on EC is 6 million visitors!) They are the oldest and in my opinion the most respected and reliable in Canada.

Basically... don't spam or abuse the site. If someone reports your post or pm as unsolicited advertising I have to intervene. If you are not abusing the site (Spamming) or soliciting people for dates who have not contacted you first you should be fine. A simple..."Thanks for visiting my profile" is fine... a "Thanks for visiting my profile, my age is ... my number is ... my email is ... call me if you want a date" would not be ok.... the guy just checked out your profile and I am sure if he is interested he would have contacted you (maybe bookmarked you) but if you do this chances are he will NOT contact you as people don't like to be spammed.

You do know that public solicitation is illegal right? I think that is what you are implying and I am sure the management at a club does not what a reputation for this as it could get the club in trouble as well (I would hope the club does not know about this) either way it is illegal so please DO NOT discuss such things on cerb. If you get a banned notice go to google and type "what is my ip" and search. It will say "Your public IP address is ###.###.###.###" (Replace # with actual numbers) Please RECORD this IP address and PM me with it. Someone was miss-behaving and got that IP banned (some devices like BB's SHARE IP address's and this is why one person can get ALL of you banned who use the same shared IP - Same with WIFI hotspots like the datavalet)
