The main DB server upgrade was completed today and so far it looks real good but only time will tell. I will be monitoring the servers to make sure they are all getting along with each other and no funny stuff going on. We should really see a big increase in speed from this upgrade. Please, if you notice anything not working let me know right away. The site is so busy that we must run the site off multiple dedicated servers all working together. Sometimes servers don't work well together and need "tweaking" so let me know if anything is odd. So far so good... knock on wood?

accepting donations/gifts can have unwanted legal issues. ... but the offer and consideration is nice. thankfully if the increase in traffic on cerb from the closure of the erotic section of cl continues .... our budget will increase as the more traffic cerb gets the bigger the budget! also I am going to add a premium billboard banner or some banner buttons on the front page of cerb. these will be enough to cover the new server costs if we can sell them. I have been merging all the CL chat threads into this one main thread.

So the budget is taking a big kick since we have to add some serious hardware to the site. I am considering removing the Video chat server as it costs a small fortune and very few people are using the CAM/AUDIO abilities of the chat room. If we take a couple hundred a month (Take away the video chat server) and put that towards a MUCH larger server (Like something with 16gig of ram and quad xeon 64bit dedicated mysql server) we could probably get the CHAT BOX working again with all the extra power.... with the flash video/audio server it's just not in the budget to do both.

Just worked out how much this upgrade is going to take out of our budget... I think I need a drink!! Anyone interesting in purchasing banners on the front page of the site or any other spots let me know... I need to find a way to raise our budget ;(

The main database server (as many of you have noticed) is maxing out (BADLY) during peek times (1pm it starts to get a little slow and by 5pm it's really noticeable till about midnight) The page load times are getting SLOWER and SLOWER as the site traffic has literally quadrupled over the weekend due to the increase from CL closing the exotic ads section. So.. we need to add yet ANOTHER server to run the site. So please bare with us over the next few days as we set up and configure the servers and system (We will try to do everything during off hours) but going to the next step (Slaved databases) is a BIG step and rather complex. I am going to have to call in some outside help for this one and dip into our 2011 budget already :(

How about now? I think I found the problem.

We had a problem with one of the embers going back and deleting/editing a previous post. The system is suppose to let you edit the posts up to 48 hours then the edit button goes away. I am having problems configuring this correctly.

Turns out the Elite members and Senior members had this ability (Not purposely) I think I accidentally checked the wrong box. The system that runs this site has literally thousands of switches (to customize people's abilities) I that I set it up so you can edit your post within 24/48 hours of posting but after that time the editing ability was gone. My mistake. I have turned that feature on for both Elite and Senior members so hopefully that ensures this does not happen again. That is CLEARLY abusing the power that was available to this usergroup so everyone who may have been enjoying that feature and not abusing it... I am sorry but one person again spoiled it for everyone. I anyone has the ability to EDIT or DELETE a post made more then 48 hours ago please let me know as it could be a error in the configuration of the usergroup you are in. ... and to the ladies... I am sorry that this person removed the posts. My bad for allowing anyone the ability to do this.

Did you see the commercial where they BEND the glass used for the iphone? It's impressive and made to take abuse. (I am sure you can see them putting it in a blender over on yourtube however) For any phone get a shock resistant case.. I have used both and my vote is the iphone hands down. If you just use it for email the BB is king but if you use the apps and web browsing... Iphone wins in my book (No comparison)

That " magic way " is called GOOGLE and judging from the last couple days it's being used a LOT. Usually this time of year we get between 4000 and 5000 visitors from google per day to escorts-canada.com. Today we received 23000 on EC !!! (Just from google) Cerb's stats for google this month (Don't have a day by day annalitics set up for cerb just averages) - Google18155 ... and the stats system died on me 6 days this month so that is the traffic from google this month (Excluding December 12th to 17th) as the stats cron task failed so that was 13 days our of the month and I would say 1/3 of that is just from this weekend! Before they had no reason to go anywhere else then CL... Now without CL the guys and the ladies are all searching google (as everyone knows what google is) to find where they can recoup some of that momentum they had. I have a second gen ipod myself ... works great. Runs everything the 4th gen does that I need... and you can pick them up for 150.00 or less now refurbished so I agree if your looking for a ipod no need to spend the money on the newest (Not a big enough difference really)

All the tech companies are doing tablets next year. Rim, HP, Samsung, Etc... It will be interesting to see what OS is the best. Currently I prefer the macOS over Android but with FLASH and stuff not being an issue on the Android/MS and RIM devices I can see a lot of people jumping ship on apple. The apple tablet is restrictive, no camera, no SD card reader and no flash... so plenty of room for the other guys to come in and steal some of the market!! The RIM device looks pretty cool from what I have seen and with RIM dumping money into the private app developers markets they may actually really pull ahead. I love my iPad... I use it for HOURS a day. I often hit the 10% battery warning by the end of the day so it really gets a work out. It is a little big to carry around at times and the RIM looks a lot more like a device you could easily carry with you. I am looking forward to trying one first hand.

escorts-canada has had about 50 ads made tonight and the site traffic is has tripled the average traffic from 5pm today till now (3am) and still going strong. Looks like a mad cyber scramble to find new places to advertise and find the ladies!! Now the ads on escorts-canada (Unlike craigslist) do not go online in real time - they are all reviewed by a real person and checked out first.
