The moderators do the moving but it's the members of our community that make it this way. We have installed scripts into the site that allow general members to FLAG posts with a explanation why. Every POST and PM has a icon at the top right that looks like this... When posts are placed in the wrong area or for any reason need our attention our faithful members let us know about it. So yes, the mods do the moving but the diligence is in our members and they deserve the credit for this. Anything flagged goes into a MODERATORS queue for review and we try to log in at least a few times a day to keep on top of it all.

Also getting a GMAIL account or something web based and changing your account email would also divert emails.

Well... it is illegal to use drugs already, it is illegal to do harm to yourself (and others) and we put people in mental care facilities when they are not able to live in society (when they are potentially harmful to themselves or others). I see no reason to not have stricter laws to help these people. Again.. doing nothing is not a solution and what they are doing now is not working too great. It's easy to say "that does not work" but it's much harder to come up with a plan that does.

Favorite all time escorts
mod replied to bigdoggiehair's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
How about I move this to the general discussion and you can start a new one in Winnipeg with a title like "Your Favorite Winnipeg Escort" making titles like "The Best" is not really fair and it's like ratting the ladies (Who is better) - very personal choice. -
I was asked to intervene but all sides have valid points.... and obviously some comments are just to stir the pot and invoke emotions. The problem with this thread is the tittle... if it was "your favorite bbbj" that would have been a better choice. the "best" is the issue. the ladies do not like to be rated and it is not nice to be left out of a thread like this. also it's such a personal preference how can you possibly find "the best" .... trial and error and have fun in the process! let's end this thread so no one gets more upset and maybe in the future some more thought on trying not to ask for the impossible.

Favorite all time escorts
mod replied to bigdoggiehair's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I spoke to rexx about this and gave him a warning. I find this rude. It's a community (All of Canada) this thread was posted in the "Winnipeg" section but the title is "Best ever escorts". (I don't like that either) Maybe a "Favorite Winnipeg Escort" would have been a topic for you to start Rexx if you have issues with the community contributing to a generalized thread like this. -
OF course they would say that it does not work as they see anything less then 50% as a fail .... but doing nothing? That works much less! At least they do see some results with forced detox (Especially with youth) I suspect that it is considered a fail because it is never done right! No one has come up with a better solution (Mostly due to costs involved) and ignoring the problem is not working!!! Detoxing them and sending them back out into the streets with little or no support... of course that fails! The only people that helps is the drug dealers! If you forced someone to detox you are helping them (Some people feel this violated the persons rights - I do not agree - you are indeed helping them) but if you just detox someone and send them back out onto the street washing your hands of it and saying "I did my job" of course it won't work.. maybe 1 out of 100 would not relapse after that. BUT! 1 our of 100 is that a fail still when we are talking about peoples lives (People who are not capable of making these choices in a intoxicated/addicted state of mind) You have to dig deeper, counseling, assistance, show them a better life exists and help them achieve it! Most importantly help integrate them back into society with a job, a home, a future!! Pushing them back into a life of poverty and crime it's obvious what will happen. If you do all this and they still relapse escalate the help (Don't just turn a blind eye and give up) ... something like a long term rehabilitation hospital is needed to protect them and the rest of society. If someone has a death wish and tries to commit suicide they are placed in a hospital for evaluation... really is their much of a difference?? Harsh? Yes... but nothing else works!! It would cost a lot of money yes... and the politicians don't like to spend money on such things and ruffle the feathers but these hard choices need to be made. It's easier for society to ignore and it costs society a lot less $$ to ignore it so no politician want to touch that money pit. Now I am talking about chemical drug addiction (Crack, heroin, meth, opiates, etc... and people who are being self destructive). Not a pot smoker or someone doing some recreational drug at a party. Youths abusing alcohol as well should be included in the mandatory detox and in some places in Canada they are doing this with some positive results. People who are prostituting on the streets to pay for a drug habit need help (We all know that) This effects all of us as society see's drug addicted prostitution and "escorts" as all the same thing and it just stereotypes the entire industry as drug addicts! So it effects us all in many ways. No other source of income is available besides robbing/stealing/drug dealing/prostitution for these addicts as no one wants to hire a drug addict so they have little or no choice but to prostitute or deal drugs themselves. It's not prostitution that is the problem - if they successfully make streetwalking and prostitution illegal and removed it somehow from society these drug addicts would still find other (Much Worse) ways to support the drug habits. I agree.. Often addicts do not want to be helped as the drugs are helping them cope with something or mask some horrible life they have... forced detox is not enough... you do need social structure and guidance. Turning a blind eye and not forcing them to detox works a lot LESS than forcing someone to detox so anyone who says it does not work are looking at the stats sheets and not the human aspect! 1 out of 100 is still better then 0 !! ...but I agree it does not work well enough. It needs MORE... when your talking about saving lives and rescuing people who are not able to make their own choices clearly 1 our of 100 is not a fail in my books (Maybe on paper but that is 1 life... on human being... that you rescue! I would like to see a solution that works on increasing that number.

The cities are not legally allowed to license "Prostitution" ... they license the term "Escort" and pretend not to know that a escort is a sex worker... This is abusing the power they have in a effort to "cash in" on escorting or more so to "discourage" people from working as a "escort" in these cities. (I suspect that it is more to discourage and police escorts than anything else). It's a way for them to chase escorts out of the city... imagine if it was legal for them to "License" prostitution? Imagine if they have no limits on how they write these bylaws? Ladies complain about the 400.00 and even 1000.00 license fees for being an "Escort" and upwards to 4000.00 for the massage spas and agencies... could you imagine what they will "Justify" if they were allowed to license "Prostitution"??? Lets think about that for a second and consider what the cities have done already knowing very well that they are NOT legally allowed to have LICENSES FOR PROSTITUTION .... - 10'000.00 yearly licenses for agencies - Special Municipal tax property tax rate - 1000.00+ Licenses yearly for each lady - Requirements making it mandatory to work for agencies or brothels (Barrie has this requirement) - Brothels zoned to the point that it is impossible to find a suitable location in the cities (They do this for strip clubs) - Limits on words that can be used in advertising (Strip clubs often can not use "Nude" or other words in advertising) - Limits on photos that can be used in advertising (No nudity in any photo) - Police checks to be mandatory (Hamilton, Windsor and other places have this for strip clubs) - Heath screen (STD/STI) tests weekly (Nevada has this) - Random drugs tests (Pot or any narcotic screened) - Logs required of all appointments (phone number, name and other contact information of each guy) - Restricted hours of operation. - Genital inspection on every appointment (Nevada has this) - Etc... really if you can think it up or find that some place does this already it will probably get put into these bylaws to make it as HARD (If not impossible) for someone to operate as a legal prostitute. Can you imagine what the hourly rates will jump up to for all the guys?? Legal brothels are NOT cheap. Some guys complain of rates under 400.00 an hour... that is unheard of in legitimate brothels!! - This is why people will also NOT follow these bylaws and laws as they will just be way too restrictive and unconstitutional. Can of worms? You all better be sending emails to your MP's!

So I asked one of the asian website owners (Who promotes the bait and switch agencies) as to why they did this and to my surprise I finally got a reply as he agrees it is bad but he has no control over it. (See his reply below as it is interesting). I ask these guys this ALL THE TIME and usually they just ignore me or tell me off ... "all the girls are "public", which means they dont work for any specific agency. they work for all the agencies." WTF?? No wonder I never get a reply... To me this sounds like one single "organization" imports all the women and move them around from place to place for a few months and trade them in for new ones?? Sure sounds like one very large operation!! Guess any of you who like asian women are just use to the bait and switch thing. Why even bother putting up photos, bio's and giving them names... what is the point? It makes EVERYONE look bad! I feel very bad for the asian women who use real photos, have ethics and integrity. It's interesting to get a reply like this but it looks like it's a bigger problem then I thought. Organizations like this will be used as references and made examples out of in the upcoming legal issues!! This could effect the whole industry as like streetwalkers they will group this (and it will be seen as sex slavery) all in one large category that includes everyone here!! Let it be stated publicly that this is a CULTURAL ASIAN THING and has NOTHING to do with the Independent CANADIAN ladies (and non-asian agencies). Most of the ladies (especially as seen here on cerb) have ETHICS and would NOT bait and switch. Places like CL and apparently 99% of all AsIAN ads are BS! They are giving our entire industry a BAD REP! This part of the SEX TRADE here in CANADA is imported from ASIAN culture and DOES NOT represent how things are done in this BUSINESS here in Canada. These agencies are obviously NOT operating like the rest of the the sex work trade here in Canada.

again you can not just operate a business on the side of the street anywhere you want. hot dog carts, street vendors and even taxi cabs have special municipal licensees for this. even with these licenses people break these bylaws all the time in every business..... zoning wood be implemented for brothels and street walkers if they decriminalize it and individual licensees for street walkers and brothel workers would also be issued. the cities and government will cash in, zone "red light" areas and force restrictive operating rules on the industry so just like all other municipal license bylaws.... they will be broken so enforcement will increase. does anyone really want to pick up a streetwalker knowing what we all know? putting money into a pimps hand most likely? if the lady was willingly doing that with no drug habit or pimp wool that same lady not work in a brothel instead off the street for much more money? let's face it... when you have a serious chemical drug habit you can't exactly work in a regular job. your employer is not going to tolerate it and most jobs do not pay enough to support such a addiction. you have really two options in most cases. option one is to steal money for drugs.... option two is a cash job where it's quick money and works around your drug habit. well the only real choice is streetwalking or drug dealing yourself. any legit escort agency does not want drugged out girls working and a licensed brothel sure would not want that either. Affordable in call licenses for places that do not allow walk in appointments when one or two ladies (max) work out of should be made affordable (bylaw) and not zoned to specific city location. places with three or more escorts would be considered a brothel and require zoning. industrial areas would be best and walk in appointments could happen... like the famous red light districts. streetwalking is a public nuisance and it gives the entire sex work industry a bad stereotype. everyone here should want streetwalking to stop as it makes all the legitimate drug and pimp free ladies look bad. sure lets say 10% of streetwalkers are not drug addicts and probably 50% are not associated with pimps but that other 90% and 50% need help as the drugs and pimps are a downward spiral..... I am sure the legit 10% would move in to a safer cleaner brothel environment making it much easier for the law to help clean up the drug addicts and pimps. when a non addicted sex worker is found working on the street the police could suggest the brothel as a safe alternative and the drug addicts should be put into mandatory detox and rehab. tough love!

Here is a noble idea... start treating it like any other business!! Accept that is is a LEGITIMATE industry and is NOT going anywhere! We all know that in places where the law is more strict this business is still very much alive - just a lot more underground. Look at the USA and the recent issue with CL. Hundreds of thousands of ads in a place where it is very much illegal to be or use a prostitute. The investigative reporters from CNN placed an ad and within a few minutes started to be SWAMPED with phone calls... Hmmm... Looks like those laws are working!! We also know that in places around the world where the governments legalize it with "Restrictions" people are still breaking the law (People do not like to be told how to run their business - especially when the business is a persons own body and not some store bough item off the shelf!) If the goal is to PROTECT the women (and all prostitutes as male and she-male prostitutes should be equally considered in this) we need to make stronger laws against actual abusive people! Pimps, Bad dates, stalkers, rapists, murders, etc... (people who are currently attracted to this business because the laws make it easier for them to be abusive as the ladies are often afraid to go to the authorities) If it was all legal (decriminalized) the ladies can REPORT violent offenders to the police without worry that they will be arrested!!!! We need stiffer laws to deal with these people however as they are just let back on the street and become MORE abusive to that same person (or others). I bet a lot of the fear the ladies have against testifying against a actual abusive pimp or bad date is that the abusive person will be let back out on to the streets and could come back after them! Since the ladies place ads to see clients this would give the abusive person a way to easily locate them again... and the law does nothing to help protect these ladies. Do you know how many rapes, beatings, thefts, etc... take place in this industry that go unreported?? How many violent offenders target prostitutes and these things go UNREPORTED because of the fear the ladies have of the police!! Law makers need to consider this stuff before they put pen to paper or they need to be held accountable for rights violations that push people into dangerous situations like this. It's not that these businesses attract more offenders - the laws just make them easy prey for these violent offenders to target because of the current LAWS! Any MORAL crusader reading this??? I am sure with the current laws being challenged that many of you are reading sites like this to try to dig up more dirt! You should consider that no mater what laws are this industry will exist ... Stop thinking they are lesser human being than you!! You are not a nice human being yourself if you think you are any better then anyone else! These are REAL people (Flesh and blood) just like you and me (Not a lesser person as you like to make the people out to be) and by implementing laws that take away these PEOPLES rights you are making them easy PREY for these violent offenders and I hope you can sleep at night when you read about people like Robert Pickton In my books... you are no better then the predators, pimps and drug pushers as you would be forcing the sex workers right into the open arms of these horrible people! It's a shame that you don't stop for a minute and realize how ignorant you are being and how you have fallen victim to 1000 year old propaganda. ? Grouping stuff like sex slavery and underage prostitution into ONE THING and trying to rally people to get behind your crusade is sad!! Go after the sex slavery and child prostitution, go after the gangs and the pimps... we will all be on your side with you!! When you group everyone together your being unrealistic and just using a legitimate fight to fuel a mob of crusader for your ulterior motives. With the internet this type of CRUSADING is coming to an end!! The laws DO NOT stop it from happening - instead stricter laws push the industry down (underground) where gangs, pimps and predators are waiting and this just creates much more unsafe conditions! NOTHING is going to STOP IT and the moral crusaders who think laws will stop it from happening are very much mistaken. NEW LAWS? We have laws to protect people from being abused, slaved, forced to do something against their will (Prostitution related or not what is the difference?? BAD PEOPLE ARE BAD PEOPLE) ... we have laws against drug dealers, gang members... we even have laws that say you can't just operate a business on the side of the street wherever you please. Why single out prostitutes like they are lesser human beings or doing something that is bringing harm to others? They are bringing happiness to others! HAPPINESS! That is what they are selling - sex is good - most of us in this world REALLY love it... we also like to be close to other people, be intimate. You want new laws?? Try making better laws for municipalities (towns/cities) some sort of judicial review of new by-laws ensuring that the laws are not moral based and do not take rights away from a individual. If prostitution is made completely legal (Decriminalized) the municipalities who already try to abuse this power by placing "Escort" licenses trying to say that these licenses are not for prostitution (Who the hell are they kidding)... if it's legalized this is going to skyrocket out of control as they will no longer need to PRETEND the a escort and a prostitute are not the same!! If this starts to happen I will personally start helping to organize groups of advocates who will sue individuate municipalities for this sort of illegal behavior! Any "Prostitution" based law specific to this industry is going to take away the chartered rights of the PERSON who has chosen to be in this business willingly. Every business has crooks and bad people... bad employers and even abusive employers! Because of the laws it attracts these seedy people more as the industry is pushed underground. Bad media, moral crusaders and self righteous people can no longer make outlandish claims against sex workers. Thanks to the internet we all talk now, the truth is being told and the false propaganda can no longer attack us all. Smart people simply go online and find places like cerb on Google and educate themselves ... and is why we have less and less moral crusaders and bullshit propaganda these days as people are smart enough to seek the truths and not beleive the crazy moral crusaders!! The law makers and politicians (or at least the assistants of these people) will research this industry when making these new laws ... and rest assured they are going to read stuff online like we have here on cerb that shows the entire industry in a positive light. Making laws against prostitution will not protect anyone - it will put people in harms way. It will not stop it from happening. It's the oldest profession for a very good reason!

No, that is like telling a store they have to keep detailed records of every customer why buys a can of pop. If you make under (I think it's 30K) a year you do NOT need a business license. Anything above that requires a HST number and business number (Registered business - about 80.00 in most municipalities). Claiming taxes has a LOT of benefits (Especially if you want to buy a house, get a loan for a car, etc...) Right now legally you should own a business if your doing over (again I think it's 30K) what could happen with decriminalization (or other changes that remove the living off the avails laws) the cities and towns could make new by-laws that would require you to have a registered business, pay for a license, work within some insane guideline they have, etc... cities and town by-laws are often abused (especially with adult business's as stripclubs have had to deal with - zoning, hours of operation, signage laws, etc... ALL BAD and ALL taking the rights away from the companies) Yes and No... If you work out of the same apparentment your "Room mate" would be changed with being in a common bawdy house for sure. The police may ask you if she/he knows what you do, may ask if you give them any money, may ask if you pay the rent and they live for free... things like that. Things that would prove they are befitting from the proceeds you collect from prostitution. It's very hard (It may even be impossible) for them to stick "living off the avails of prostitution" without a prostitute herself going on record stating that they give that person money. Unfortunately this is why the law is so ineffective to what it was originally intended for... to get rid of pimps. This is why pimps get away so easily as the ladies are often afraid to go to the police and testify against the pimp and without the ladies accusation they have a very hard time proving that he/she was living off the avails. Drivers on the other hand... are often charged with living off the avails, Agents (agency owners) are more easily charged then street pimps as they don't hide in the dark alleys of the streets like most of the street level pimps.... and most of them are not heavy handed drug wheeling slimeballs. (I did say most - as bad people exist in every business and escort prostitution is no exception unfortunately the powers that be group streetwalkers and escorts in the same GROUP and are ignorant and uneducated to the fact that things are VERY DIFFERENT).

Your asking this in the "Massage" section. EC is primarily "Escorts" not really Massage - and if you are looking for a FS massage spa that is very much illegal and no one here will give you a answer to that question (at least not in public and I would advise everyone to not pass that sort of info in private as well as it would be incriminating). If your looking for a good massage spa your efforts would be better off using other means (such as the newspaper then asking on cerb for feedback about a specific place - check the DNR list as some massage spa's have asked to not be discussed in public)

Ahh Right.. Thanks Angela. Looks like she had a good thing going for her as people obviously liked her to make the award nominations. -
This area is a public area for the "LYLA TOWN COUNCIL". It is also a place for the council to post new policies, new rules and any other notices or comments that they feel the public should be made aware of. The COUNCIL is made up of a panel of VOLUNTEER members. The first council was chosen by the MOD 7 ladies and 7 men for a total of 14 members and the MOD. The council members identity is kept anonymous unless the council member himself/herself chooses to reveal that she is part of the council to the public or the other council members. The MODERATOR(s) will still handle the standard enforcement of rules. Any members with a 50+ post count who break a rule on Lyla that requires more then a warning or a infraction will be brought to the attention of the council for a vote. The council will be presented with a history (have we spoken to this members about this before, previous disciplinary actions, etc... compiled by the moderators and possibly info from the system admin) and the council will VOTE whether to SUSPEND, BAN or ISSUE ANOTHER WARNING to the person who broke the rule/policy. Minor infractions and disciplinary action against members with 50 or less posts will still fall on the MODERATORS discretion but can be appealed by the COUNCIL if requested. The COUNCIL is for the benefit of the community... a voice! Anyone interested in being a COUNCIL member (members will leave over time) you can contact me as I have a list of interested parties I can add to.

Today was my CATCH UP day for cerb. Getting a lot done today as today has been freed up to do all my cerb work all day long (I have told everyone at the office to leave me along today so I can catch up ... so far so good!) - I added the nominated icons today for the VALUED MEMBERS awards. I apologize for the delay. The site is undergoing some major changes that are using up most of my time and the last couple of weeks we have been short staffed due to vacations and such so I have been playing catch up (Just bad timing). - I also added a LEGAL forum (Was suggested by one of the members - Excellent suggestion by the way) This was added due to the current legal HOT topics in Ontario and how it will play out on a federal level. I moved a number of "Legal" issue posts from the rest of the site into this section as well to make it as resourceful as possible. - I organized the display order of the forums on the main page.. - Changed the title of the NEWBIES section once again (As per suggestions I received from the members) - I have worked on the Town council plan (I am putting together a public thread about this today as well).

I can't seam to find them and I dont want to add this to the wrong persons list. I suspect the member names are miss spelled here. (A number of them were) Also anyone nominated should now have the icon... if you were nominated and DO NOT have the icon please let me know. -
that is not true. the living off the avails law clearly states that any third party (pimp, agent, other lady or driver etc..) not the lady doing the prostituting. that is in part true. it is to make a safer working environment but more than that it is because the current law takes basic chartered rights away from those who work in this profession. the courts are recognizing that not all these ladies are drug addicts, controlled by pimps or forced into this business. many ladies choose to work in this business (especially the 'escorts' who you see here on cerb joining the conversations). not true again. communicating is only in a public place (street, hotel lobby, casino, etc...). if the lady communicates in private she is not charged for this... and I explained living off avails above. third most single ladies working from a low traffic in call location that is not a commercial unit and is not accepting walk in appointments is really not on the radar. it would take public complaints and a over ambitious police force to see this as harmful to the public and waste resources on targeting such places so these places are usually ignored.. it's the high traffic commercial places (massage spa, brothels and strip clubs like the famous fantasias that was closed in markham a few years back) ... those are the targets for law enforcement. that and streetwalkers and pimps... but the current laws give pimps many ways out and really only target the ladies.

I have not had time to read all the threads but I have a good idea of what is going on. I just need to say a few things.. 1) NOT ALL OUR MEMBERS ARE FLUENT IN ENGLISH. I am saying this as some of the members misunderstand things and don't really have a grasp on slang 2) LOTS OF NEW MEMBERS. Many of us have been using these boards for 10+ years and easily forget that a learning curve exists with new members (Especially those who are not computer savvy) Forum etiquette is not something everyone knows so please instead of FLAMING someone for hijacking a thread take the time to explain to them what they did wrong. I have found the 9 our of 10 times the thread hijacker has NO IDEA what they did wrong. 3) UPHOLD THE FRIENDLY COMMUNITY. Have some compassion, Patience and good will goes a long way Finally... some of our members over the years have been a little eccentric, some are very grounded and some are very "normal" (and I am struggling for a better word than normal or average as that could be offensive). What I am getting at is... when you mix all these people together you are going to see clashes in personalities. Your going to see people with mental instabilities, your going to see people with language barriers, alpha's, passive people, clicky groups of people, etc... but we all have a common bond and that is what everyone needs to focus on. Be nice to each other, accept the differences and instead of flaming someone for doing something wrong.. help them if you can, teach them what they are doing wrong... help them understand. For some people they just don't learn these things easily... and attacking them is not going to help matters in ANY WAY. Either ignore them or when they do something wrong click the REPORT THIS icon and ask me to speak to them. If what they are doing is disruptive I will speak with them. Eventually I will ask them to stop posting in the discussions area's and to just read the site as they are usually unknowingly disrupting the site. If you flame them, call them out, complain about them in public, yell at them, etc... your not helping and your not being very nice. That is not what this community we have is about right?

Interesting quotes: "It is my view that in the meantime these unconstitutional provisions should be of no force and effect, particularly given the seriousness of the charter violations" (Himel - Judge). "However, I also recognize that a consequence of this decision may be that unlicensed brothels may be operated, and in a way that may not be in the public interest." (Himel - Judge). What I am happy for... Safety of the ladies (and all prostitutes) and making this profession a lot more legitimate!! This is a win for your rights and I am proud of the judge for having the courage to make such a huge decision and to point out how HUGE of a violation it is to our charter of rights ... and of course I am very proud of all the people involved in trying to make it better for everyone! Your intentions and heart are most certainly in the right place. At least for the moment things are looking positive! It's not over by a LONG SHOT .... and I really do fear the politicians federally and locally will cause major problems in the months and years to come. What I am afraid of is... New laws written and influenced by our conservative government ...and decriminalization in full (I would be shocked it this was allowed to happen but it is possible) this would allow municipalities to write by-laws and as proven in Windsor, Calgary, Winnipeg and even places like Barrie ontario.. these by-laws are created for the WRONG reasons and are MORAL based by-laws (Something the cities are NOT suppose to do). I have had city bylaw meetings when I worked in the stripclub industry where they passed moral bylaws making it impossible to open stripclubs in a town as they made the criteria so outrageous no piece of property in town was within the guidelines to operate such a place. The cities don't care as very few people ever take the cities to court for bylaw licenses. At this time the cities can not legally license prostitution... but with new laws or decriminalization that could all change. Right now they are used in places such as Winnipeg and Calgary to let the police control prostitution now (Illegally so) as they license the word "ESCORT" (We all use that) but they define it as a "Paid Date" and has nothing to do with "Sex" or "Prostitution" so if your caught advertising using the word "Escort" or you agree to see someone without any acts of "Sex" you are breaking the by-law and subject to a ridiculous fine! They use this to harass the ladies unlawfully and because it's a city bylaw they get away with it. My question is (and has always been)... Who is going to protect the ladies (and other prostitutes) from cities like this if the industry is decriminalized? No one has every been able to give me a good answer to this and I fear the worst.
