Recently I have received complaints about one of the advertisers because of this. She listed a pile of services she offers (they were standard stuff that most escorts do not charge extra for) and she posted her hourly rates. The guys show up and she says "That hourly rate includes ONE of those services, each additional service is extra" The services listed were like "Kissing, daty, bbbj, fs, etc..." I don't blame the guy for being mad and wanted to write to warn everyone about her as the post was VERY misleading. It read like all these services were included for this price and had NO mention in the ads that ONE of these was included and the rest were "Extra". This to me is FALSE advertising when you show up and get a surprise like that. Be honest in your advertising to your reputation will go down. Guys expect to pay more for greek, fetish and pse type stuff. I don't think anyone would complain about that as it is expected... but if a guy shows up and says lets start with a BJ than FS and the lady says ok that will be an extra 50.00 for the second service.... I think he is probably going to be pissed. This is probably why a lot of guys annoy the ladies with all the questions... ladies out here do pull these "Scams" and you can't blame the guys for wanting to be 100% sure they are not getting scammed again and again. I notice some of the ladies have very little patience for guys asking questions (Especially notice this in the chat room here) and really... it's part of the business and the BAD ladies are the reason why (You may list all the services on your website or ad but obviously the other ladies who are not including all the services listed are doing the same thing and waiting till the guy shows up and pays the "FLAT FEE" before they spring on the "Oh, That will cost you extra" (And I am sure this is a HUGE mood killer too). Unfortunately the worse this stuff gets the harder it makes all of the GOOD ladies jobs.

If you do this none of the OS updates would work... I don't know of any PAID place that would do this as I beleive doing this would break the TOS (Terms of service) I think this is something you probably have to do yourself... and if you break it your pretty much SOL. Why do you want to jailbreak it? Is their an app you want that is not available in itunes as it was not approved? Any "Adult" app now requires a jailbreak phone unless apple put back the adult section (The took it away last I heard)

Hmmm, wonder if you could forward your email to hotmail, gmail or yahoo and have thunderbird pick it up using the pop3 settings for just the email in your NON-JUNK folder? I don't have a hotmail, gmail or yahoo account to see if this is possible. I have never tried any of these either but stuff does exist like mail washer (http://www.mailwasher.net/) it lets you preview before you download and delete them off the server before downloading them to your computer. I have never tried any of these but I suspect it is possible (I don't know if this mail washer example I put up is any good so be careful choosing - this was only an example and I could not tell you first hand if it's ok or not)

Plus plugins to thunderbird exist to do spam as well (I would search for one that uses http://www.spamhaus.org) do a quick search and you will see lots of anti spam and phishing plugins to choose from.

Does GFE mean you do things unsafe!

YIKES!! I have to agree with outforfun on this one! ... 1 out of 10?!?! No WAY! If you are experiencing a 1/10 failure you are using them wrong! Sharp Finger nails, putting it on wrong, wrong size maybe, who knows??? but 1/10 failure is not right and you need to find out what your doing wrong!! I am sure a lot of people don't use condoms correctly. You need to open the package properly (No sharp finger nails to aggressive tearing), you need to place it on yourself the right side up (So it rolls down properly) ...and... you need to get all the AIR out of the reservoir tip before you roll er on (or it will come off)! If it is too tight it can break easy and if it's too loose it can come off... and if you successfully put it on backwards I would suspect it would come off as most are lubricated on the OUTSIDE... I would think putting it on backwards would be difficult but low light and a fast application of one... you just never know. I think the average is 2% failure (98% safe) and that is probably high these days as I am sure technology is always improving as this is a HUGE business. I would suspect that most condom failure is not the condom but the person using it improperly. -
I see no reason to start a new one... we are all aware of the crap CL attracts no need to bring it all to cerb (warning or not). If the ladies have info on this (or any guy like this) they can post it in the SP ONLY area. If they do not get a phone number and confirm it from the guys... this is the crap that happens. If they get his phone number they will BLACK LIST him and warn others. Please do not start new threads on the same topics.

This is actually not correct. You can solicit sex in Canada as long as you do NOT do it in a PUBLIC PLACE. (Place being the key word). You can advertise in newspapers, online, magazines and even TV as these are mediums and not considered a "PLACE" by definition of the laws. Advertising yourself as a full service sex worker (prostitute) is completely legal as long as you are not discussing or soliciting sex in a public location. This includes on the street, in a hotel lobby, on someones front lawn, in a car on a public street, etc... Back in the 80's this law was challenged when a magazine in Toronto that was allowing explicit ads to be printed for prostitution was charged wrongfully. The case was brought to the supreme court to get a more clear definition on what is and is not allowed. The court determined that a magazine is not a public "PLACE" and therefor a new precedence was set making newspapers, magazines and now the internet completely legal places to advertise as a prostitute. You can be as explicit as you wish (as long as the medium you are advertising in allows it) without fear of being charged for solicitation. Now... if you are explicit and say you do in calls you could be in trouble as a in call location can be considered a common place of prostitution (and we do have laws for common bawdy house). FYI in the USA if you use a term like BBBJ your still busted as they consider the terms just as illegal as your not fooling anyone by using these terms. -
Abstinence is the only 100% way to avoid anything being passed. Plain and simple. On the other side of the scale ... Unprotected anal sex is the highest risk. Your risk level goes down with every precaution you take or higher risk activity you avoid. Condoms are not 100% effective so risk is always present but most of the "Escorts" online here with us get themselves tested for STI/STD's regularly to prevent spreading any. Keep in mind... The last thing a reputable escort wants is to contract a STD! If she was to spread a sti/std it could damage her business, it could also force her to take time off work or could make her business end if it was a incurable std/sti. HIV is one of the lowest risks when talking about BBBJ/DATY other sti/std's can be passed this way however (Some that show no signs of infection). Know your risks, always use quality condoms and get yourself tested regularly. We don't really get drug addicted sex workers advertising online (They tend to spend the money on drugs not computers and advertising). Unfortunately all "Sex Workers" are grouped together into one BIG stereotype making a lot of men scared of sex workers in general as the media often portrays sex workers as high risk for STI/STD's. We have done polls here in the past with the members - look them up the results will ease your mind some if you have concerns.

It would all depend on your internet connection. With vonage you can log into your account and turn down the bandwidth (Reducing the call quality of course - pretty much any VOIP system has this ability so I suspect majicJack has it too). They all use your internet connection speed and if you have a crappy connection the call will degrade... if you have a crappy VOIP line chances are it has nothing to do with the VOIP company... it's more likely a low quality internet connection. It could be a cheap low bandwith "high speed" account, it could be a crappy connection running from your house to the box on your street, it could be the node you are on is overloaded. If you using Satellite internet, wireless internet (Antenna on your roof like WiMax) it will not work properly due to latency or if you use a crappy switch/Router for instance it will cause problems as the router will chop up data packets or lag the bandwidth to share with the other computers. If you have someone downloading in the other room while you are using it and you max out the bandwith (speed) it will be crappy too. I have a 8MPS down and 500kbs UP internet connect at my house and I can play online games and use vonage with no issues.... I could even stream a movie as well at the same time (but most home internet high speed connections are 6mbps or lower down and 128-256k up so its easy to max those out (Especially the UP bandwidth when playing online games). If you are thinking of running VOIP check your internet connection first. I use this site. http://myvoipspeed.visualware.com/ As long as your in the green on both sides your good to go and should not have any issues.

We use Vonage at the office and it works great... so good that I use it for my home lines now as well. It's free long distance and packed with features that are all INCLUDED in the price!! (No paying extra for voice mail, call waitting and all the other stuff). It also has a feature to ring your cell phone or land lines all at the same time and if your internet connection drops it defaults to your cell phone (or land line)! The sound quality is perfect (a couple years ago when we first started it had some bumps and hiccups but those are gone and it works like a land line - just as clear and dependable) We have a box at the office with two lines we use for outgoing calls (and a whack of bell lines for incoming calls and backup in case the internet goes down) we also have a vonage thumb drive that you can use on any laptop anywhere to make or receive calls. You can also set up virtual numbers in other cities very cheap as well. I have nothing bad to say about vonage and you do not need your computer to be on 24/7 to receive calls on it as the box does all the VOIP work without the use of a computer.

Suspended Accounts?
mod replied to BownChickaBown's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I don't blame people for asking. If you have an appointment set up with a girl and she gets suspended I am sure you instantly think OH CRAP! ... but with a little searching you can usually tell if it was bait and switch or anything really concerning. -
I have NEVER heard that. The slang term Loju is a level of drunkeness/intoxication - almost passed out drunk (in a state of "loju").

PSE and the Definition Feedback Please
mod replied to Alannah's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I gave everyone who replied some reputation points for these replies. It would make things a lot easier for the ladies and the guys if the rest of the industry would realize that no "Services" are implied with these terms. GFE: The only thing assumed here should be that the encounter would be more intimate (Not a mechanical / cold straight to the point meeting). Kissing is the only "Service" that most people assume this is included (and I don't blame them as I doubt any girlfriends don't kiss) but always YMMV (bad breath, bad teeth, smoker, or hygiene issues for example would stop most people from kissing) PSE: Is a much more erotic encounter. often stuff like COF, Dirty Talk, more interesting sex positions, etc... Stuff many men would not do with a vanilla girlfriend as it may be a little more like what you see in the movies. IN NO WAY - EVER!!! - SHOULD THIS IMPLY THAT IT IS WITHOUT CONDOM!!!!! Having casual intercourse with anyone (Sex worker or a guy/girl you pick up in a bar) in this day and age is WAY too risky and should NEVER be done without the use of a condom!! -
Suspended Accounts?
mod replied to BownChickaBown's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
People PM me asking why a certain person gets suspended and that actually bothers me as I don't want to disclose the reasons but often feel obligated for various reasons... If I wanted to make it public I would post the reasons, would I not? When one of the ladies gets suspended I get PMs saying "I was going to book with her should I be concerned" and this is a fair question and I struggle with this. Same with the ladies... I get "I have a date with him what did he do to get suspended"? If (For example) the lady gets suspended for breaking the ad posting rules (because she refuses to read and follow the rules for posting ads on cerb) technically she is no danger to anyone that I can tell ... she just sucks at following the rules or does not respect the board enough to read the rules. However if she is removed as we suspect her to be underage, bait and switch or robbing guys this is something you guys should know about but again we can never confirm this so posting it and having it be untrue would damage her reputation and business and again would not be fair so with the bait and switch I do usually comment and the robbing guys a dangerous encounters post is often posted before the lady is removed. (Same with underage) so I don't really need to announce the reason myself. So what do I do... If I post names and reasons I am technically calling out members who break rules and announcing what they did wrong (Not very nice and not very positive so I would be breaking my own rules)... If they did something like open a second account as a SHILL account (or for some other unexplained reason) and was caught red handed doing something they should not do on cerb I usually give them a 1 to 3 month suspension and a gentle slap on the hand (Rarely does it every happen again). So... what I propose is this. Guys... If you have concerns about someones suspension search for them using the search feature and see if anything is in the bait and switch or dangerous encounters about them. If not, chances are they are just suspended for something such as having a SHILL account or because they can not follow the posting rules or they are fighting with other members on the board or something that really will not affect your date with the person (It may question her ethics but really chances are everything is fine). I do not suspend someone if they break a posting rule unless they do it ALL THE TIME... more than 3 warnings in a short period of time and I start to hand out suspensions. Ladies... you can search the SP ONLY area or PM me if you do not have access about the guys who get suspensions if you have concerns about a male member who was suspended or banned. 99% of the time the MALE members who get suspended are posting negative reviews or being rude in chat so it is a good idea to avoid the male members who get suspended and ask me why if you are unsure. Everyone... I don't like suspending anyone, it's not good for the site or the community to suspend someone who does not deserve it. I do occasionally suspend people who waste my time ( I do warn them first but some people have no respect for the site or the amount of work I put into the site - those people are not welcome here). If a member is being unreasonable or trying to undermine (or challenge) my authority I will have no choice but to remove the disruptive person. To some this statement may sound like "power tripping" but I assure you that is not the case - people who do not respect the site, the rules and policies, ignore my warnings or do not respect the work that I do on the site to maintain the enjoyable atmosphere of the site will only have negative effects on our community - so they are not welcome here. These are often hard stressful decisions I am forced to make and I do not enjoy that part of the job in any way. Remember... The way the site is run (and some really great members) is the reason why this site is sucsessful and enjoyable for everyone. You may not always agree with my choices but I do always have a valid reason for those choices. Having the site moderated this way ensures that it stays this way! I hate to "toot" my own horn but if it was moderated like other sites... it would not be as wonderful! -

Ok, Editing has been restored and limited to 48 hours as I promised I would look into doing for everyone. Sorry for the day without editing. If you need a post that is more than 2 days old edited or deleted you will need to flag it and give a valid explanation why you need the change or removal. NOTE: I will NOT remove threads you started if others have taken the time to reply to them either. -

I am testing the ANTI BUMP ability to add comments to previous posts Additional Comments: This is my BUMP post (Additional Comment) Additional Comments: Another test? Additional Comments: Ok, it's now working. You may notice that if you post twice in a ROW it adds the words (additional Comments) and your additional post info. I just changed it to say "Additional Comments" some earlier posts today said "Bump:" and I thought that would be confusion? -

The problem with "posting a reply" correction is that it BUMPS the thread (and this would be a issue) so I have installed a ANTI-BUMP script that is now suppose to MERGE the posts if you do this and won't actually let you BUMP a post (At least in theory that is what it is suppose to do... we will have to wait and see as it's very new and untested) -

A few people have sued craigs list for things other people have posted. Not sure if any have been successful or not but I know suits have been filed against them for such things in the past. -
***UPDATE*** EDITING POSTS ABILITY HAS BEEN RESTORED YOU CAN NOW EDIT POSTS WITHIN 48 HOURS I had to turn the "editing" feature off. The reason for this is that some members "Panic" when someone outside this business finds out about them being involved in the business and the first thing they seam to do is ask me to delete all messages they posted and delete everything about them on cerb. If I was to do this the site would be full of holes (Missing Posts, broken threaded discussions, etc... ) so we do not allow this. I had to take the "Delete own threads" option our of everyone's account a few years ago because of this but I did leave the ability in some of the elite member accounts (That was not on purpose I just noticed it was still active on some user groups today when disabling the "Edit" feature). It is so common with the ladies that I had to add a policy in the FAQ area about 2 years ago. With the edit capability turned on it was being abused to circumvent this policy. Since the members could not "DELETE" the post they would just "EDIT" all the past posts and remove the content of the post (Effectively deleting the post and breaking the site policy) I am looking for a solution that would allow members to "Edit" a post withing a certain time frame (Say 48 hours) in case you make a type-o or incase the lady posted the wrong dates in her ad or something like that. I am not sure yet if this is something that can be done but if it can it will be a future upgrade to the site.

Cyber bulling / Cyber harassment is a new thing the police and courts are now starting to recognize and deal with. If you are certain you know who it is you may want to go speak to the police. They may be able to assist you and actually may look into it for you (At no cost to you). If not... and you want to do it on your own you would need a lawyer I beleive to assist you in doing this as you would need a judge to issue a subpoena for the IP records from CL for this poster. Once you obtain that IP address you need to find out who owns it (Rogers, Shaw, Bell, etc...) and subpoena them for the customers name.... (BUT) ...what often happens however is that the IP resolves to a public WiFi spot (such as a coffee shop, hotel, open wifi connection, etc...) so if that is the case you waste a lot of money on the lawyer to obtain the two IP's and the ISP customers name (unless of course the person uses the same coffee shop every day to do it... than you catch them red handed) You do not want to wrongfully accuse someone so be sure you know who it is and be sure what they are doing can be considered illegal. If you think they are dumb enough to post this stuff using their own personal internet connection paying the lawyer may pay off as you will than have proof that they are the person harassing you and you can take that proof to the police ... but unless they are wealthy your not going to be able to sue them and recoup your money (The whole rock from a stone issue) and worse off they really could just keep harassing you by using random public wifi connections and be untraceable. If they are posting threats the police I think would get involved and I would hope that they would get the IP records and track the person down for you and it would not cost you anything. P.S. You could also sue CL! They should after all moderate the site better!
