That is what I thought... Still no flash app for the iphone. Apple and Adobe must have some fight they need to workout. Antivirus! Ain't that the truth!! It will need antivirus for sure. You know my Mac desktop crashes more often than my PC these days and I must say Vista would run weeks on my HP quad core PC without any crashing (Same with windows7 it is rock solid). I think it's unfair to say that windows crashes more than a mac these days. Windows only really locks up these days when you mix and match untested parts... and the mac craps out too when you try to add a third party hardware. These days I buy Dell and HP/Compaq as it's tested well. I stay away from the cheapy stuff and the "Home Built" pc's. It's a crap shoot when you do buy cheap or home built machines. BTW... Kindle rocks. It's by far the best digital book. That e-ink screen makes it so easy to read, it's very light (Lighter than a standard book) the battery lasts a LONG time ... hell it even has a free experimental web browser feature for emergencies but in Canada the sites are limited to things like wikipedia (at least that is all I could access at xmass when I was playing with one) ... it's very easy to order and find books and has no monthly fee's. It is what it is (and it's very good at it) and anyone with one falls in love with it. It does not need anything more and it already has WAY more than any book can offer ... if you like magazines you may want the color one for the photos... but for novels it really has way more features than necessary. The sony e-book reader has a optional touch screen (Who needs that) and is USB connected (Not wireless 3g like the kindle) - I find the sony one not as comfortable and the screen on the kindle is better (My preference of course as they are both e-ink screens - The kindle screen has more shades of grey and the tablet feels more comfortable). Kindle can hold 1500 books (Sony can hold under 350 books but does have a card slot to increase this). The kindle has "Text to speach" and is less expensive... I would take the kindle over any of the others any day.

Technically it doesn't have a actual USB connector... instead it has a single "Dock port" (30 pin port) where you plug in a typical AC power supply or dock it to a keyboard if you need to type out something large (Touch screen typing sucks). It is a communication port and you can use this port with a number of dongles for stuff like usb, web cam or even a media card (Like a SD or any other compact flash media card). The problem is it may lack existing software to make the USB device work with the iPad itself. On another note the HP "Slate" (Competition for the iPad but running windows) would be compatible and does have USB from what I have read. And as a BIG bonus... it already has flash installed (Joint effort between adobe and HP) and it is a very impressive machine as well from what I have seen. (This has been a big let down for iPhone users as the iPhone does not display flash and apple pitched it as a complete web surfing experience before the launch - it is the best web surfing experience on a mobile device but how many sites use flash??? None of them work on the iphone!!) This means our chat room here on cerb would work on the HP tablet for sure... but I am not sure about the ipad (yet) apparently you can watch youtube video's on the iPad (youtube videos are encoded in flash10) so a good chance exists that the iPad does have some means of playing flash .... but I can't seam to confirm it and some people are saying it's a hack just to watch youtube as it converts to mp4. Anyone with a iphone have any more info on this? Now... if you can put a 16+GB sd card on the dongle and it can run java (You can run Java on the iphone but you need to jailbrake it and that is not recommended) but ... it is possible and with java running you can be sure you can get flash to work on it one way or another - it's just a matter of time before someone creates a java virtual environment for a full version web browser like firefox. It's beyond my capabilities but I am sure someone will make it happen.

Windows7 is a BIG improvement. I personally like it and think it is the best OS so far from Windows.... I like MAC os better but I have a HP laptop (Not a macbook) so I am also guilty of the windows over mac for price and software choices. I do run both windows and linux on the HP laptop (and working on a thumbdrive solution that will allow me to run apple OSX on my HP with a little bootloader hack) As for the iPad I am on the contact list and I do think I will buy one when they come out. A app for the iPhone exists that I love that lets me monitor servers and do all sorts of great remove access stuff but I find the iphone too small to do any work efficiently so I have to use the laptop right now... the ipad is perfect for what I need (Email, server maintenance, cerb, etc... if I could run photoshop on it I would be in heaven but that is just way too over the top for it's current capabilities) ...but I will wait until the 3G version comes out unless I can use my 3G usb modem with the WiFi only version. The 3G version is expected to be a month behind the launch of the WiFi only version. I am hopping that if the iPad can not be used with my current USB modem that I can trade it in or upgrade it to the iPad but who knows yet who in Canada will be caring the iPad 3G. Rogers did such a poor job on the iPhone plans that it would not surprise me if some other company got to sell the new iPad 3g and rogers would get the boot. None of them have good dataplans yet that would let you really use the iPad affordable so here is hoping.

I do not beleive it would be used enough to have it's own dedicated section and more advertising sections is not something I would want to add to the site at this time. I would rather see more discussions.

Hi Zeek, welcome to the site. You have posted this in the wrong section. This section is for information for new users. What you want to do is find the escort discussion section for your city and post this question in that area.

They probably read the threads too. The site has over 17,000 members now but only 3,600 members are considered "Active" out of those 17 thousand as the rest do not contribute to the site. Most of the accounts are used for reading (not contributing) as I think a lot of people are afraid of contributing on sites like this (Spouse, do not understand the legalities, etc..)

I doubt the cerb members canceling are really a big concern for the ladies. Sure some do it but rarely anyone who has any amount of posts and reputation on cerb so they still have nothing to loose. Also... cerb can not be involved in any financial transactions involving the ladies and clients (In any way) ... Keep in mind that the ladies who verify callers (Actually call the person back on the call display number to verify the phone number and do not accept appointments by email and such have VERY LITTLE problem with no shows and cancellations). We have had a few cerb members reported for no shows (Some have lost access to cerb due to it) and most of the members know that this could happen to them but 99% of the time the member who gets banned has less than 5 posts and no reputation to worry about here (Just another reason to really screen the bookings).

ottawaconnect, sugarrushcanada, Explicit ZENsations (Both Accounts) and of course the past accounts Honeyzworld have been banned from the site. They have a bad track record here. The Honeyzworld account was banned before so it looks like they have many multiple personalities (Funny how this happens to avoid a bad rap).

It must be the new security patch that was installed. I am not 100% sure this is the reason but the company did not give exact details of what the security hole was. In fact this is all they told us.... An exploit in our input validation has recently been discovered. This could allow a brute force attack to comprise and spoof input data for a given user. To resolve this issue, it is necessary to patch the software. It was only 3 files that were changed (and very small changed) but they did deal with user login and authentication from the looks of it - so it would be a good guess that this was the reason behind this one.

A security patch for the site was installed the other night so this may have something to do with it. Try what OutForFun suggested and let me know if that helps. I am not having the problem on my end. (Makes it hard to offer advise)

FYI: Pure_pleasure and Kiwy and 5stargals all used this same computer today. Pure pleasure was banned the other day for using fake photos (As found on cowboys blog) - the lady emailed me and said it was her friends fake photos and asked to come back to cerb (I said fix your reputation first) and today they are back under the name Kiwy (and this old 5stargals account) - Confirmed access from the same computer.

CL is a free place that has unmoderated text ads and we use CL so that we do not send newbies like yourself to that site. The site is full of bait and switch, scams and very bad things and we would have to send some inexperienced guy to that site as it would most likely be a big disappointment when the wrong girl showed up. We ask that non of our members reveal what CL stands for... after you research enough here you will figure it out on your own but at that point you will figure out how to avoid the bait and switch ads and scams (using cerb and sites like CK's diary http://cowboysdiary.info)

This is VERY common on CL! When someone like weller9500 points out negative stuff like this on CL and comments like this they get a infraction as we do not allow the negative stuff posted here so we most certainly do not want it referenced here. CL is full of scams and bad people... so much that the good people who try to use CL find themselves in a big mess of slander from people like this. I am not saying in this instance that it is true or false (I have no way of knowing... but nether do you and you would be a fool to beleive it). Some of you may experience PAGE NOT FOUND or SITE NOT FOUND errors when accessing cerb.ca today. This will be fully resolved in 24 hours. The domain name did not auto renew (and after this happened last time we made sure to set it to auto renew but than transferred the domain to another account and apparently the auto renew turned off) we never received the notification from the registrar so the site DNS shut down. Anyone who accessed the site in the last 24 hours and did not delete the temporary internet files should be able to see the site without problem as your computer will store the sites IP address but those of you who have deleted your temporary internet files are locked out so when you get back in this explanation will be here for you. Sorry, I know better than to rely on the auto renew for the domain names! I should have checked.

Your fellow cerb members control your "rep" points. If you post something they disagree with you loose points (But only if they have points to begin with - the level of the points they have determine the amount of rep they give or take from you is), if you post something they agree with you gain points... and if they nominate your posts you gain points. So the more "Senior" members have a lot more rep power than the newbies. Suspension/Banning is only if you break the big rules or if I have to ask you a number of times to follow the basic rules. If I ask you 3 times (recorded as a infraction) to not do something you will get a 30 day suspension if you do it 5 times you get a 6 month suspension and a 6th time your gone off the site. For the bigger stuff like fighting, slanderous posts or pm's, threatening another member, spamming the site, etc... I deal with the situation one by one and often suspend them right away or put the account into a REVIEW state where they can PM me and discuss the issue (Blocking them from posting). It's a lot of work. The rules? They are not hard to understand. If your posts or actions are mean, slanderous, rude, your being a bigot, being negative, nasty, spamming, etc... (You know, asshole things) or just not appreciating what cerb is all about (Being nice to each other and not posting negative stuff about others) you will be suspended or banned. The ladies have rules on how to post ads. For instance they can only post an ad type post one time per day (in each city they work in or tour in) so if they work in Ottawa but planning a trip to Vancouver they could post once in Ottawa and once in Vancouver the same day (as long as it's not spamming). They can not post ads like they do on CL with the *-*-*LOOK HERE*-*-* type titles (Looks like crap and spammy), Titles can not be in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS or anything that tries to draw more attention to one post from another (wording the title well is the only choice to gain attention) - This stops the site from looking like a CL special!!! No one can not post photos showing genitals. Post titles can not contain rates, phone number, websites or email Links to directories (excluding escorts-canada.com and localescorts.ca) are not permitted. Links to personal websites are ok. Guys can not post ladies locations, phone numbers or rates and comments such as asking for discounts, commenting on the ladies price being too high.... etc... is all BAD. The ladies have the right to change rates, phone numbers, etc.,,, and they should have control over this info as the last thing we need is some old lady taking over a new phone line and getting calls for escorting (or) a guy demanding a lower rate as someone posted it on cerb that they got the same service for a lower price. Both situations are very much unacceptable. ... and really that is about it. It is also not permitted and sending people to see negative discussions on other "discussion" boards! (That defeats the whole purpose of this site!! We don't allow it here so why would you think it was ok to send someone to another site to read it?!?) Jabba You in particular tried to do this and got your hand smacked. You knew we would not allow it posted here on cerb so you thought you would circumvent that and post a link to another discussion board ( This wastes my time and just pisses me off - use some common sense - if we don't allow it here we most certainly are not going to allow you to link to it on another site! That is just a jerk move thinking I won't find your link). Most of the long term members will flag your post for me when you break the rules. I don't read every thread but if your post is offensive or breaks a rule the other members let me know. Correct, can not post or even read the site under that username. They are locked out on that account for the suspension time. Business end? lol.. not really a business but it's a positive space for our community and that is needed. Really most of the time when someone is banned it is because they don't get along with the other members, refuse to follow the rules, or they can't grasp the fact that this is not a review board and that we do not allow negative posts. Usually it is a easy decision to boot someone as the other members here help out a lot. Some people are just trouble makers.

The photo system is a ADD ON application (Plug in) and is not actually part of the vb system that runs the site. A third party created it and made it available for free as a community application for people who run this software. Because of this it is not tied in properly to the core database in a way that it knows when a ad is suspended or not. I agree it should remove the photos from the Rotation but it doesn't (We have to take the good with the bad sometimes - having this "Fixed" would be costly and not worth it for the small annoyance it sometimes causes)... now... we do have members who take a year or two off the site and come back so purging members who have not logged in within 3 years would probably be bad and I don't have the time to go through all the profiles and remove photos of people who have not logged in (Way too much work to do that) If I purge old members another thing needed to be considered is that if the person has posted and we purge the old members the post entries get marked as "Guest" so we have no idea who originally posted the comments so purging old members with posts is something I don't really like to do (When I purge old members I only purge them if they have under 5 posts and have not logged in for over 3 years).
