So I had a chance over the holidays to play with a "Kindle" from amazon and I was very impressed. It downloads books very quick off the 3G network (You pay for the book but not the internet access), has no monthly contract and you can even get news and browse some websites with an experimental browser (in black and white on the model I tested). It does not have a normal screen, it uses a screen like your old Etch-a-sketch where it draws the screen and then uses little (or no) power to hold the image. A image of a book stays on the screen when you turn it off too... I suspect (and so do many others) that Apple will announce the new 10 inch touch tablet this month... and I am saving to buy one! The Iphone software is a good indication of how this tablet will perform I a m sure! Rumor has it that it will be called the iSlate but that is just a rumor.. who cares what it is called... it will be something to look forward to. It is suspected to be launched to rival the color version of the amazon kindle and will offer e-books on iTunes store.... but it will also make a amazing portable PC. For the geeks... The rumors say the tablet will have -ARM Holdings dual-core Core9x chipset. -OLED screen -cost between $500 to $700 USD -Dell, Intel, HTC and Nokia are rumored to also have tablets to compete coming this year

No, it's only a very SMALL amount of the advertisers that can get under your skin. We use to have some advertisers who liked to call and yell at us... at first we tried to work with them but it never went well. Now we just hang up on people when they yell at us and often just ban them from advertising as it just puts anyone answering the phone in a bad mood for the day and causes stress... no one needs that and those people get to our nerves. As for making text changes... once a day is more then acceptable (Remember our office is closed on weekends so get the changes in before 4pm EST on Friday)... as much as we love the people who call at 4am on a Sunday and get upset cause no one answers the phone for them we would prefer they just leave one message and realize that no one will listen to the message till Monday. The people who call 30 times over a weekend and leave message after message... (Yes, our voice mail has the hours - some people don't bother to listen to the message) those people bother us. A few ladies change text ALL THE TIME (Like 10 times a day) That gets on our nerves... in fact we imposed a maximum 50 times per month update rule because some people were abusing this but I can count on my hands the number of people that have done this in the past 12+ years. Those people are beyond high maintenance. Some ladies like to change photos A LOT... some will ask to put full sets of photos up and change them again in a few days... then change them again a few days later.. then they get mad cause we charge them for the changes?!?! Not realizing I guess how much time we actually put into that process! We use to do this for free (We still do within reason) but like everything free if you don't have rules (and police the rules) it gets abused and now some fee's are involved for people who do this! Again this is less than 5% of the ladies but 5% changing photos a few times a month causes the need for additional staff, it causes delays in getting other peoples changes approved and often these same people want backgrounds removed, tattoo's taken out, faces blurred, etc... and all that requires skilled photo shop users (Very expensive to staff professionals in this field). We like to keep the rates down low for the advertisers and it's surprising how even 5% of the advertisers can cause huge additional costs and delays for everyone else. Talk about raising rates and uncontrollable circumstances... HERE IS A TIP: HST is coming too so the government will get another 8% raise next year if the HST passes (as we currently only have to charge 5% gst) so if the HST passes our rates will hike up a Huge 8% so it's hard enough keeping the costs down without adding more staff). Anyone who advertises online and pays for it might want to save up now so that if the HST passes you can buy a year or more advertising in bulk before the deadline (or your donating 8% more to the government)!

I agree with you completely but the ladies with ads on EC are VERY BUSY usually... Keep in mind that most independent ladies do all the work themselves. They take the appointments, answer the 1000 questions from callers and email, place ads in newspapers and online, etc... etc... it's actually a lot of work. Updating an ad online that still generates lots of calls for them usually goes to the very bottom of the to do list. The ladies who do not take new clients often leave the ads up so the clients they do have can find them easily (Many don't keep sp's phone numbers on them personally)... Also the ladies talk and in Winnipeg the bylaw guys do sweeps and when this happens a lot of the ladies will not take new clients.

You should be asking a local lawyer these legal questions (you will not get information you can trust as accurate from any other source). Legally you can not run an agency, some gray area's exist if you do not "hire" the ladies. If you act as a receptionist and the ladies employ you to assist them it is less illegal (but not fully legal - you need a good lawyer who knows these laws to explain this to you first hand). The license in some municipalities is to run a "Dating" service (No sex) get a copy of the by-law (You will notice nothing mentions "sex" in the by-law unless it actually says sex is not permitted as some by-laws actually say that) The by law is just a cash grab (A way to police the industry) and a way to make you think "escorting" as an agency is actually legal with this license so they can control how many agencies operate in the city. It's actually illegal for a city to license prostitution (as that would be living off the avails of prostitution - same reason agencies are illegal) If you "live off the proceeds of prostitution" and you are not the one doing the prostitution you are "living off the avails" and that is illegal in all of Canada (License or not). Really the license is just a way for the city to try to control it and pay for it to be policed. If you have a license they usually don't bother you unless you get complaints but you can still be charged under the criminal code of Canada for pimping by running an agency. This site has lots of info on this subject (use the search) but make a list of questions and go see a REAL LAWYER before considering doing this... and not just any lawyer you need one who specializes in criminal code laws for prostitution.

(NOT) The LADIES and the AGENCIES update their ads themselves and many log in all the time to make changes and updates (including photos) - We get changes submitted daily in every city in Canada... it actually keeps us very busy!! The ladies and agencies have a "Management Area" and they log in and update ads here. I know some of the people who TOUR post dates on ads and forget to remove them after the tour is over. We don't remove these as often the ladies revisit and when they have time they log back in and update the headlines to the next visiting tour date. Ok, I hacked in the ability to view album photos in each persons profile VIA mobile device. Now remember I don't have a iphone or BBerry ... just a palm and the battery is dead right now so I can't even look at it myself (I just viewed it on my computer) but it looks like it is working. Why don't you see pics on the black berries? Is it a specific model? They should get the same stuff as the palm and iphone get I would think... maybe it cuts the pics out to save bandwidth.

This was "Second hand information" but this is not the first time someone has complained that "minors" were present at the incall location. YES, A BIG ONE: A incall location is still illegal (It's a common place of prostitution and that makes it a "Common bawdy house") even with just one lady working the location. The police usually ignore the low traffic incalls (as long as the public does not complaint) but when you include kids (Anyone under 18) at the location your going to get targeted for sure (AND QUICKLY) - this person is probably being investigated now.
