Thanks Etasman2000 for posting that link. You beat me to it. I understood the reason behind the post but failed to consider that many people are still not aware of the blood services rules. We all know that the online ladies are usually very safe as most insist on condoms. Also condoms protect you from a lot of STI's but they are not 100% and they do not stop everything. You can get HPV, HEP, Herpes, etc... (unprotected oral sex) all these can affect a persons immune system so they must be cautiously avoided and to do this it's a stats game - just numbers. Let's face it... someone who has sex for money has a LOT more sex than someone who does not (putting them in a higher risk category in statistics) and according you your heath class in high school you are having sex with everyone your partner has ever had sex with (well that is how they figure it - I know... idiots). I hope they find a way to test donated blood affordable so that anyone can donate. I do not agree with it but I am sure every ounce of blood is not tested so how do they keep the risk as low as possible? I guess they feel this is the best solution.

I just made the profiles and photo albums public so that anyone who clicks on the http://www.cerb.ca/yourname domains can see both your profile and your photos without signing up for an account on cerb. I didn't realize this was actually an option that was turned off until someone brought it to my attention earlier today.

I think it would be a lot less work for cowboy to just list the good ones.

Do you mean "monicker" or "monikers"? Does the term moniker just mean someone who uses an alias? or is it in reference to someone who makes a alias to cause shit (Typically spelled with a C or two K's like monikker). The free url is set up to not be available to new members. They must make it past the MODERATION period before this shows up for them. This would stop a lot (it not all) the malicious people I suspect. For example... anyone who registered a alias such as "Angella Aurora" and registered a domain to use to make people think they are you by adding the extra "l" in the registration name would be caught way before they had access to the domain registration page... this should stop those types of "monickers" ;) It also sends me a report of the IP address used to register the domain name, the members email address and the members username they are currently logged in under (to help prevent hackers and any malicious doings from members who do make it past the moderation period).

It was painful. I did more work on it today (fine tuning it). For anyone interested... It was achieved using 4 different programming languages (3 of them I am not overly proficient in - hence the headache!). The file manipulation and checking along with most of the back-end (security/notifications/ip aquire/etc) were all done in perl/cgi (the stuff I know well) The call to instantly check to see if the domain is available without leaving the page is achieved using ajax (asynchronous JavaScript) and perl/cgi working together. The Registration button to submit the code and some other stuff is done using regular JavaScript and the site integration to make it all work on the forum is done using php. I have to admit I had to slip a guy a few bucks to help out with the ajax and java script portions and I altered another guys vbulletin mod to make this work with the site (to avoid writing hours of php code with a reference manual open next to me!). Anyway... I am sure most of you who read the stuff above are scratching you heads. Told you it was just for anyone who was interested. ;) I need about 3 days off now I think and a bottle of Tylenol! ... but it's worth it as 12 people have already registered domain names.

Well, the intention was for the ladies but if you have a reason to make one your all welcome to ... as long as your not doing anything bad with the url. If you are registering the URL to stop someone else from getting it who could actually use it... that would be bad. They are intended to help (not cause problems) so we want to promote the use of them in a positive way. When you register the URL the program records your userID and your IP address and sends me a notification, this way if anyone does anything malicious with the URL we know who did it .. so please don't do it.

I am sure someone will PM you with the URL against my wishes as I would hate for anyone to go to that site in search of escorts due to all the scams. It is not a discussion board (it's a classified ad site - free ads so the scammers and bait and switch advertisers prey on the guys who use the site)... I looked up "Jane School" and this was a option offered to the ladies arrested for prostitution in Ottawa. ("Jane school" is a three-day program run by the Salvation Army called Sex Trade Education Program, or STEP). So that sounds about right, I am pretty sure the lady who told me about it was out in Alberta or Winnipeg and I don't think it was a Salvation Army sponsored program but I am sure it was pretty much the same thing. It was a option to avoid going to court and chancing the criminal record.

Sorry, I forgot to mention it was removed. It was making the entire site slow (Brutally slow) again. I suspect it has some bad script code in it. On a slow site with little traffic it would run fine but cerb has to much traffic to power it. The database was lagging about 7 seconds behind each request during peek times (and that is a HUGE delay). I have another similar system in mind and I am doing some tests to see if it is better for high traffic sites.

Many review and discussion boards (especially a few years ago) preyed on the ladies. They were very hostile and the ladies were jumped on if they tried to defend themselves when someone slandered them publicly. This left many of the ladies not wanting anything to do with the boards - many to this day are afraid to join in conversations in fear of being slammed by some popular member and having the entire member base instantly hate them. Some sites like this still exists, some were made to get special discounts from the ladies, some were put up by bad agency owners who wanted to discredit competition... etc... etc... (Basically things are easily exploited in this business unfortunately). We won't name the bad sites here as we don't want to give them any additional attention. Cerb is SP friendly and we are proving that you can have a popular discussion board without fighting, flaming, hurtful comments and negative reviews. The ladies can feel safe here and this site is NOT appealing to any of the guys who get off on disrespecting the ladies.

I erased the stupid comments insidevoice and I am afraid some people do need to be reminded that comments that are immature or intended to cause problems are not welcome on here. I was not directing this comment at you (apparently you think it was directed at you for some reason?). I guess I should have mentioned I removed the stupid comments that were made before I posted this note - but no one should be taking this personally unless they made stupid comments. Some people like to push buttons (add fuel to a fire and stand back to watch it burn). Some people say things without thinking about the consequences (or without realizing they are wrecking a good thing by being an ass). Cumquat's comment "it is a lot easier for the SPs to get votes considering 4 SPs combined have more votes than almost 10 of the hobbiests combined. If I set my status on msn to vote for me for the cerb valued member award I would be lucky to get one vote. But if any of the ladies do that, they are going to get a lot of their guys voting for them." This may be true but not very appropriate of a comment without explaining what had happened in the past here. I allowed it as it was a honest opinion but some of the newer members may not be aware that we had this problem in the past with a SP who was in the original vote for valued member. (Who did try to rally votes on MSN but she did much worse) The SP who did this was also making fake accounts and giving herself votes - we caught her and not only disqualified her but she was removed from the site. She was pissed right off that I caught her doing this and demanded that I give her the award... you can imagine how that ended. Now this is not the case here. As you can tell from YoungStuds slip up we have the shil vote issue under control and you can tell from the votes that Pete and Emma are both getting a lot of the votes here (Fairly) and guys are not voting just because they like Emma personally (She really does contribute a lot here and so does Pete) both are very deserving of the award and both should feel great that the other members took the time to nominate them and vote for them! I don't think anyone would say that either of these people do not contribute a LOT to this site... in fact, all the people in the vote are deserving on the vote and the recognition. Some of the comments made however that have stemmed from cumquats post are making Emma want to drop out of the award and have Pete upset as well. That is not what this is about and they should NOT feel this way! This award is in appreciation for the nominees contributions so the people who are commenting negatively (and trying to use this as a way to disrupt the site) are really just being disrespectful and rude (I am dealing with those people) - and those who's comments have been removed from this thread ... you know who you are. The "lectures" (If that is what you see them as) are actually very much needed at times. Could you imagine how crazy this site would be if I did not step in and keep things under control. I guess it's hard to see that but if I did not step in all the time and control these situations the site would not be what it is today. This comment about the stupid posts was not directed at you (I am not even sure why you think it would have been) so you should have just ignored it and moved on. Instead you took this personally and felt the need to make this comment. Commenting that "I don't wish to be lectured, please." is really only going to get you your own personalized "lecture" (and waste my time) but because I failed to comment that I erased some posts before making this comment I felt I should explain this in more detail. If you feel like I am lecturing you personally than chances are you are either doing something you should not be doing or you take things way to personal. If that is the reason than I would suggest that the site would be MUCH for enjoyable for you if you if you did not take things so personal. If anyone feels they have the right to say whatever they want on this site, I am afraid you are mistaken. This is a private members only site and everyone agreed to the terms of the site when they signed up. Anyone who feels they can post hurtful comments will quickly find out how fast they can be kicked off the site.
