If you gave someone negative reputation and disagreed with his/her post you should back it up! Exactly I am NOT a MIND READER and out of every 10 complaints I get I find 3 or 4 of them are fake complaints (trying to cause problems for some other person - and with a little digging and help from the members here I find the real truth). It would be wonderful just to beleive everyone and accept everything I am told at face value but we all know where that leads.... who do you beleive? You need proof and that is not always easy in this environment. So reputation points greatly help. When I suspect someone they go on a WATCH list and if I notice the rep points going down I remove the post and the person. The reputation points system is still new but it helps - and has helped remove 3 people so far from the site thanks to our members! Use if it you wish to contribute or ignore it if you wish to... your call. It's just another tool to keep a anonymous group of people accountable. Keep in mind... I don't know you, you don't know me.. I only have what is shown to me from both parties to make a discussion when someone makes a bad move or cry's foul. if you tell me someone posted a shill or a fake photo and you have no proof how do I know? I can't just beleive you (That would be insane - I need proof) - You would be shocked at how many people complain to me and I end up banning them as it ends up that the person doing the complaining in the first place is the person trying to cause problems. This happened today actually. It happens once a month at least on average. Thankfully when I contact the other party I usually get some proof as to why this other person is complaining about them or I get a BS excuse and can easily make my decision (Judgment). A post from someone with no post could and no reputation is pretty much the same as a SHILL post (we all know not to beleive them until one of the senior members agree's with the recommendation).... and cowboykenny alone I think finds 99% of the bait and switchers so for the most part the shill's and the b&s posters who we can prove are removed from the site.

Hi Naomi, you have not lost any reputation points you have actually been giving points by other members. This is a way for them to show you that they appreciate your contributions here. Now who looses points are the guys/girls who log in and make a new account to post a SHILL post about themselves. Guys can disagree with the recommendation and it would lower the new members rep level to show everyone he/she is not trusted. Do a search on reputation points as we had many discussions on how they work and such when we implemented them. The system helps show who can and can not be trusted. Basically it's to keep everyone on the "up and up" as it helps keep the shill posters out and the bad sp's as well (How? the guys disagree with the ladies posts if they post that they offer a service to lure them in and when they get to the call they find out that this service was not actually available - so this helps remove ladies who advertise bad info or fake/bad/misleading photos in a ad thread. To make the system even more reliable you must have a high level of reputation points in order to add or subtract reputation from another member. This make sure a new member can not maliciously use the reputation to falsely boost another account's reputation level or to remove reputation from a already trusted member.

I am getting some comments now about who is doing this and I encourage everyone to NOT beleive a PM if it's an obvious PM trying to discredit someone. If one of the members is out of line the lady should report it to me or post it in the SP ONLY area for discussion (I will also post for you if you do not have access yet). All the posts and all the PM's have a button at the top of the post or pm. If you get ANY email that is SLANDERING another person here (or anyone for that matter) you must click this and it brings it to my attention for review. If we have a male member who is not nice to the ladies we will remove him... if we have a SP who is bait and switching, bullshitting, etc... we will also remove them. Whatever it takes to make the site better for everyone. Remember I CAN NOT READ YOUR PM's and I would not even if I could. If you receive something you think is out of line, slanderous, etc... flag it for me or PM me to ask. These smear campaigns must be stopped as this is NOT the way to deal with a problem like this.

When you posting photos please MAKE SURE they are not this large so that they do not BREAK the site layout. If they are large like this instead of embedding them please just LINK to them.

If any of the ladies receive one of these "WARNING" pm's please REPORT them so I can see who is doing this. I suspect someone is trying to cause problems for some of our members (Trying to cause problems for the site even) so let me know who is doing this. I suspect if you look at the person making these claims they probably have little or no posts here but I could be wrong. Whoever is sending out this hate mail and rumors is causing big problems here and I don't want to shut down the PM system here but it may come down to that if we do not get to the bottom of this.

I ran a few of the optimizer tools on a vista install and I had to resort to the backups as it changed something that would no longer allow me to keep "auto Arrange" turned off on my folder sort preferences. When I have more time I will try to narrow it down and find out what tool caused this. Also I had to re-register 2 of my software programs as the registry cleaner on the vista install removed my registry key's. These however were programs that I had installed and "Upgraded" so I suspect the original key did not the current program version so it may have been seen as a obsolete key in the registry.

Bill is correct, windows captures well with [Prt Scr] button on your keyboard. You can paste this to all sorts of programs. Go to the page you wish to capture, press [Prt Scr] on your keyboard, Open up "Paint" from "accessories" in your START menu, and press CTRL V (or choose paste from the drop down menu at the top of paint) It's free and is built into windows.

You need what we discussed earlier for your mac book. (If it's a intel based mac) - software exists like parallels that allows you to have the best of both worlds (Mac and PC) - Check out this video I posted earlier in the thread. You will see mac and pc running together in what they call coherence mode all one on MAC (Just like you wished for) Seriously, it's best of both worlds.

Hmm, where do you start on a question like this. 1) I actually do need a MAC as it's very hard to fix something here that the MAC users report to me... when you run a website you need to make sure it works well on both MAC and PC so you do not alienate anyone so it's vital to have both if you do web design. 2) My older G4 Mac computer was broken (It was accidentally dropped when I moved and cracked the motherboard) so I didn't have a MAC anymore to use. Since new macs are over 2grand for anything decent I held off buying one. 3) This is a 3 year old computer and still blows away most pc's on the market. It's a power house computer. It has 2 2.0ghz power pc processors. I have a quad core 64 bit intel system (brand new) and the 3 year old mac boots faster, runs more stable and the mac is all around a better computer ..... I paid more for the ram upgrade from 4gigs to 8gig in the new PC computer than I paid for the mac (actually I paid twice as much for the ram upgrade than I paid for the new mac). 5) Mac's are superior for web design, photo work (anything multimedia based). Also they do not get virus's like PC's do... so I choose not to run a antivirus on the mac (Making it that much faster) FYI: The Mac only has 1gig of ram at this time and it's still faster than the 64 bit PC with 8 gigs of ram and the quad core cpu set up. The list goes on but it gets more technical. For the average computer user you may not see a difference between macs and pc's. This can really only be appreciated by mac people and techies. It's like shopping for shoes... we don't get it.

No shame in a Wal-mart purchase. Sputy is right! Expect no real service - research your questions in advance and know what you want ahead of time as no one will be able to answer your questions at wal-mart (at least not well). Keep in mind that you will get what you pay for, if you buy a RCA don't expect a sony quality picture. If you don't want to spend money on the sony pick something in the middle of the price range (LG, Samsung, etc... all good choices if you like the picture - Personally I do not like RCA's or Sanyo's or any of those wal-mart no name things they sell - not very fussy about the pannisonics either and I think Panasonic is techniques/goldstar and they use to be really good high quality stuff). ...but please go into the store and VIEW that model when it's on. They could have the best return policy in the world but who wants to take back a giant heavy tv!? Also, I find that wal-mart does not have the best prices on big ticket stuff like this so if price is a concearn do some shopping around. I hate the extended warenty sales pitch!

Parallels says it's for intel based macs only. Can't find anything for the powerPC platforms.

Great Suggestion. I love open source projects! Virtualbox appears to run a little heavier on the cpu but speed looks about the same for both so this is a good find! Do you know if it will run in coherence mode like parallels does? I wish someone made a good VM for the G5 powerPC - These all run on the intel macs only. I remember once seeing a VM ware that would run on a powerPC and emulate windows. If anyone knows of a good one please post it here.

The mac's and the PC's can communicate very well these days. If you make the switch however keep in mind a slight learning curve will exist so bringing someone in who is a mac expert may be a great idea when you make this switch to help set up your network and also to show you a few needed tricks. Check out parallels with coherence mode running (MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS WINDOWS) - This ONLY runs on the INTEL BASED MACS at this time. As far as I know this is only for "INTEL" based mac's and not powerPC's so you need a C2D (Core2Duo) mac or Xeon based mac. This is true but some virus's and trojans do exit for unix based machines as well (Mostly known as "Rootkits"). If you run windows on a MAC your open to all windows viruses/trojans/etc. You are just as screwed as all the other windows users so browse the internet with your mac, open email with the mac and only use the windows part it the mac does not do what you need it to do. Well said, but the mac does have a lot less exploits and is not of interest to most of the virus/hackers/etc... as it's still a SMALL share of the market. On a MAC you should install a tool called "OS X Rootkit Hunter" or "rkhunter" it's a UNIX based (Free BSD) scanner that makes sure your root file system is not infected with a root kit (Worm/trojan/virus). I was at an auction last night and low and behold two mac G5's that looked like they had fallen off a truck and than backed over again were sitting in a corner under a pile of other stuff. The auction had 1000's of items (mostly computer electronics - stuff like high end servers that were selling for thousands of dollars) ... so no one paid any attention to these two macs. The auction guys said it powered up and made the signature mac startup sound but they didn't even put a monitor on it to test it. So I knew the power supply was good (that was it). So... I took a chance and brought it home. The case is a mess but these things are built VERY well and the inside structure did not appear damaged at all. I opened it up and took it all apart to inspect it and make sure none of the boards were 1/2 out or cracked... also I had to remove the loose rivets that were rolling around inside from the destroyed outer casing. I put it all back together, plugged it in and turned it on... booted perfectly and low and behold a brand new fresh install of jaguar already installed on a brand new drive. My guess is that it was sent to apple for a hard drive repair and damaged during shipping (Maybe in a accident as both macs has almost the same damage) so it was probably a insurance claim and sold to the liquidators/missguided freight guys and went to auction. It's not a intel mac - it's a 2006 powerPC 2.0 dual G5 but it's super quiet even with the destroyed case and wicked fast - I really want a intel mac pro but this will do for now for sure! My old g4 cube is dead ... I had the monitor, mouse and keyboard so it worked out very well in the end. Don't ask what I paid for it, you may cry! I had no idea if it even worked so I was taking a chance. I refused to pay anything above what I could sell the power supply for as that was the only think I knew for sure was working. Out of over 200 bidders only one other person was bidding on it (who I assume had the same idea I had) - I took one of them and the other person took the second one (hope hers works - it looks like they were dropped out of the same truck!). Anyway, just wanted to share my awsome score with everyone here who reads the geek section (I mean techie section). I think I will still try to install osX on my HP C2D laptop but that will have to wait now that I have a working mac again.

Brandi is correct. If they have a suspension because of misconduct on the board (Breaking a rule) and are given a week to six months suspension they are not removed. If they are permanently removed I try to clean up account and remove the photos or if they posted fake photos or something I remove them. Lots to do here as the mod so it is possible to miss some but that is what I try to do and why I do it.

I think he means (as the guy, after a days work a shower before anything intimate is a necessity) and a supply of clean towels sounds like a sound business investment so I think this is good advise and not negative in anyway. Sometimes stuff that your clients view as important are easily overlooked, feedback like this is a excellent way to improve your business.
