Not sure who told you this Paige but unless you are accepting money in public or discussing sex for money in public than this is a myth. (At least here in Canada). Keep in mind most people assume we have the same laws that are expressed on TV (USA Culture / hollywood) in the USA this would get you arrested but here in Canada we have much more libral laws on this matter and no where in our Canadian criminal law does it make exchanging sex for money illegal if you are of legal age, doing a outcall and it is done in private. I encourage everyon to please read the criminal code of Canada sections on prostitution (This is our federal law - the stuff you can go to jail for and be arrested for) sections 210 to 213 is very easy for anyone to read. (It's not full of legal jargon so it's pretty straight forward so you have no excuse not to read and know this - you should know the laws that directly pertain to your job). I am not sure who told you it was illegal or maybe you just assumed this as TV has a big influence in our culture these days but if someone told you this you should educate yourself on the topic like I have and correct them as the more people who understand this law the less bad info will be passed around. No where does it say prostitution that is conducted between two consenting adults in private is illegal... In fact it clearly says public solicitation is illegal (They Define "PUBLIC PLACE" - they would not have used the words "public place" if all solicitation was illegal they would have just said "any form of solicitation is illegal" but instead the law is VERY CLEAR that solicitation for sex in a "Public place" is illegal - meaning if you are in private it is legal to solicit sex for money. So... one more time... if you close the door and are one on one with your date in private you can discuss sex openly in exchange for money with your date here in Canada. If you do this in the USA and many other countries you will be arrested but not here in Canada. Do some research and by all means ask a lawyer as you do not want to take legal advise from some person you don't know (Like me or anyone else on here for that matter - hearsay/rumors and myths are bad info). I only know what I have read and from discussions I have had with legal council of my own. When I got involved in this business I went and talked to a lawyer who specializes in criminal law and had court room experience defending clients who were facing prostitution charges. No police officer or lawyer will be 100% knowledgeable in every aspect of the law (they also have to learn the laws as they go) so it is important to consult with a lawer who has experience in this field.

In Canada? Not that I know of and I have been in the business for 12+ years and in the stripclub business for many years before that. In the USA yes, prostitution is illegal except for the legal brothels outside Vegas. I am not aware of anywhere else in the USA where prostitution is legal. In Canada it's legal unless you tricked into speaking about sex in public. In Winnipeg recently the police were asking the ladies to a hotel and asking them to join them for a drink in the lounge (a public place) before going to the room. If in public you discuss anything that could be related to the call or sex and proceed to the room you have now committed a offense (Public Solicitation). If you make the booking by phone or email (or chatroom or pm) and go to a PRIVATE apartment/condo/house/hotel room/etc... (and close the door so it is just you and him in the room) it is no longer a PUBLIC PLACE so you are free to discuss sex in private for the exchange of money. Prostitution is LEGAL in Canada it's the surrounding laws that make it hard to follow the law. 1) No pimping (Living off the avails of prostitution if you are not the one prostituting) 2) No public solicitation (Aka: discussions of sex in a public place - you can advertise in newspapers and magazines and online without breaking this law) 3) No procuring (Bringing someone into the business) 4) No common bawdy house (No in call locations - this is usually only a problem with multiple ladies are working our of a location or a business like a massage spa offering full service but technically a single lady working out of one location is a common bawdy house by definition but the police seam to ignore this and they should as it's safer for the ladies to work this way and they are not harming anyone) 5) No underage (18 years of age) If you follow those rules your ok so outcall prostitution where you are the only one profiting from your actions, you do not discuss ANYTHING in public and you are of legal age and do not coherse someone else into getting into the business your ok. You also can not legally bring someone to a place of prostitution (Read section 210-212 of the criminal code of Canada - I think we have a link here in the Canada Law on Prostitution page). Some municipalities (windsor, calgary, edmonton, winnipeg that I know of) have municipal licenses (These are ways for the local police and municipal bylaw officers to combat prostitution without dealing with the criminal code - it helps them scare the ladies out of the city as they are not wanted - really it's crap as the "Escort" license says it's for dating and not prostitution as they can not license prostitutes. Note: A municipal bylaw offense is NOT a criminal charge, you do not get a record or go to jail for this. You pay a fine (like a parking ticket)

Some people seam to have a beta version installed. I am wondering if a beta was accidentally released. If you look up what version of flash player you are using make sure it does not have a "B" at the end of the version number like 10b or 10.B or anything like that - the version number should be all numbers. If not you may need to uninstall it and reinstall the proper stable version.

Escorting is actually legal Paige, it's the in-calls that are illegal. Outcalls are very much legal in Canada. (Just wanted to mention this as I hate to see bad info get passed around - some people still don't realize that the law in Canada allows non-public solicited prostitution to be legal as long as it does not take place in a common bawdy house) - A common bawdy house is a location that is frequently used as a place of prostitution.
-
This sounds like a flash player problem.

Someone should make a website for stags! The market is high - people are always getting married (These days 2 or 3 times in a lifetime)... maybe we will have to look at this for a future project.

Hi Phoebee (and Dave). This recommendation is a little thin on details and makes it hard for other members to search for what they are looking for. Because it does not have details I am moving OUT of the recommendations area and into the general chat area. If someone wishes to make a full recommendation with more details they can. The recommendations area is full of options such as type of services offered (GFE/PSE/Standard) as well as check boxes for YMMV (Your Mileage May Very) Non Smoker Has Enhanced Breasts BBW Spinner Model Looks Long Hair Short Hair Full Service Exotic massage Domination Light domination Submissive Porn Star BBBJ cim digits daty dato dfk kiss greek duos non rush msog prostrate massage cob strap-on Real photos on website or ad Tattoos facial piercings shaved pussy On time for appointment So by not checking any of these it's more of a discussion topic as opposed to a full recommendation. Sounds like you felt she was worth a recommendation, if so please take some time and do a full recommendation for her. We only have 1 recommendation thread for each lady being recommended so it's important that the person who makes the initial recommendation does so in detail. Others can add more info to the thread but the initial recommendation should be in depth.

What's your budget? As a previous manager of a adult entertainment club I know that most guys who come asking for "Dancers" at a bachelor party have a very wrong budget in mind. 1) The ladies bring security (at least 2 guys in most cases) if they do not they have never done a bachelor party before and are naive. Sometimes these things get out of hand and any seasoned lady would never agree to do one without security. 2) Your asking for something specific (Girl on Girl show) so this is going to increase your required budget. 10 years ago in the Toronto area the price was 350.00/hr minimum per girl (This included the booking fee, the security and the lady). For special requests like this it would be more like 500.00 and up per girl. So if you have 1000+ budget in mind it should not be hard for you to find what you are looking for. I remember guys would come in expecting to pay 150.00 per girl and were shocked to find out that 150.00 was way too low. I actually did security years and years ago for bachelor parties and the security way back than got 75.00 each per hour so I would imagine it would be substantially more these days.

I finally won a coffee to go with my stinking donut! It's kind of like a buy 50 get 1 free deal. -
The Report Post button was not working since server was moved the other day. If you reported a post in the last week and it appeared that I ignored the request it was not intentional. When we moved to the new server this feature was broken and was not notifying me. I realized this after seeing a thread today where some rude guy asked a insulting question. I am sure a few of your reported his post so I checked the report post system and sure enough it was broken. I fixed it finally and it is not working again. (And the idiot was removed from the site like they all are)

The human toll of criminalizing the escort industry
mod replied to a topic in Legal discussion, cases & questions
That is like saying the phone company, the ISP, the gas stations, clothing stores, etc...etc... would all also be on the hook... who knows who else. I think everyone in the world would be at risk if that were the case. In the USA however (in some states) they have a "promoting prostitution law" and I know one newspaper was charged for allowing an ad to be placed in the classified section. I am glad we don't have those laws here! My thoughts exactly. No real way around the law for that. That is why it needs work. If they ever license bawdy house's in Canada I will look for the Dummpy Mansion! -

mod replied to PistolPete's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I saw Theory Of A Deadman at the private molson canadian invite only concerts (about 100 people) at the Key of Bala and they sounded amazing but they just stood in one spot and were really boaring to watch.... but the sounds was really good so I stayed. When we saw Motley at live8 I thought Vince was going to die on stage as he was running out of breath and could not keep up to the song. He must have missed every third word. -

Say them at live8 and they kind of sucked (like they could not keep up with the beat) Kiss is coming to Montreal! They suck live but I would go every time!! It's so much fun and the pyrotechnics are amazing. I also love the tunes! -

The human toll of criminalizing the escort industry
mod replied to a topic in Legal discussion, cases & questions
This is a touchy subject of course but I think most of us here will all admit that the street walkers work in very bad conditions. I feel that legalizing or decriminalizing it would not help the problems surrounding it. I have pondered this question for years (legalize/decriminalize) and at first I was all for legalizing it but after careful consideration (and discussions with some of the veteran ladies) I think it could use a little help but changing it could be a very bad thing and really we have it pretty good. Really as escorts (not street walkers) what do you hate about the current laws?? It could be MUCH worse as you could have the same laws as the USA! How do you think legalizing or decriminalizing would change it for you? My advice, be careful what you wish for as it could be MUCH worse and you could open Pandora's box. Many of the ladies who walk the streets are drug dependent and live in poverty because of the addictions - they may have started on the street as a way to survive but the streets have a way of drawing a person down deeper and making a bad situation much worse. Many street walkers prostitute themselves to pay for food, rent and basically to survive ...(at first)... and some get out in time and never have problems with pimps and drugs (exceptions to every rule) but some don't and it's the ones who don't that the laws are here to protect and help! Many of the street walkers became drug addicts and then turned to prostitution as a way to pay for the habit as well. Unfortunately street level prostitution is riddled with drugs and pimps. (also has higher rates for sti/std and other heath conditions). I can't stress this enough: I am not saying all of the ladies on the streets are drug addicts or controlled by pimps (that is not the case) but we all know that it is a problem and one is too many! The ladies who are being abused and exploited need help as once someone is addicted to such drugs as crack, heroin and meth they no longer are capable of making sound decisions as the substance controls their life and that is no way for anyone to live. Pro's 1) You can escort legally here as prostitution is legal 2) Pimping is illegal so it helps the police take care of abusive people 3) You can freely advertise in newspapers and online 4) The laws protect children Con's 1) In calls are illegal (But the police use this to go after commercial bawdy houses and don't seem to abuse this law to go after the independents working low key) 2) Pimping laws make legit agency owners (Non-Abusive/Non-controlling agency owners) hard to operate and help keep the ladies safe. 3) Solicitation laws do need some work as some police are using these laws to entrap legit escorts in some cities. This law was intended to combat street prostitution and is being abused in cases where police have lured legitimate escorts into hotel bars/lounges and discussed sex in a public place. This is not what the law was intended for so it is being abused and needs some attention. I would like to see a better pimping law and a better bawdy house law but I also don't want them to make things worse (even by accident - don't mess with a good thing). Some people don't realize how good we have it in Canada already with the laws we do have. I would like to see laws that combat drug dealers and pimps more effectively. I don't agree that street walking should be legal. I personally don't want to walk down the street and be solicited by anyone selling anything - especially right outside the front of my house. We all know that street prostitution brings drugs and violent people into the neighbourhood where this is taking place. No one can argue this and that is why the laws exist. Poverty may force many of the street walkers to work in these conditions but the pimps and drug dealers exploit these ladies more often than not. I hate to see a person taken advantage of in this way and I do not see how decriminalizing or legalizing this would help this in any way. The governing body in Canada made laws to protect the public. The law removes some freedom of rights from prostitutes (intended to protect them and the public). Unfortunately the legit ladies who are not doing drugs and using the money to live and put food on the table (Not being controlled by pimps) do suffer because of these freedoms being revoked but it's next to impossible to write a law that works for both and decriminalizing it would make it even more exploited. The government and police are very much aware of the problems that go along with street level prostitution and if the police started picking up clean ladies (clean as in - not doing drugs) and no longer found pimps exploiting the ladies they would most likely see no need for the law anymore but again I can't see legalizing this or decriminalizing this making this better in any way as it is now. -
If this is the same Hollyday from E.C. (Here is her ad: http://www.escorts-canada.com/cgi-bin/ad?id=6947) this ad has been online with E.C. since September 2007 without any complaints... the chance of the photographs on this ad not being real or accurate is really doubtful. I would have to say that if this is the same person as the CL listing crochrocket here may be confused. The original ad on C.L was removed so I can not compare but have a look at the E.C. ad for us and if this is the same person (Hollyday) I think it would be fairly safe to say the photograph comment is probably not legit.

YoungStud.. I agree with you on the lazy posting.... the "black female born that way" post is a good example of lazy posting as he obviously did not read the post over before he sent it. I do receive emails all the time like that - I just reply back and say... "I am sorry I have no idea what you asked me can you reply back and possibly read your reply before you hit the send button this time" (... and yes, often the emails are from a blackberry or other PDA). Again I agree... laziness. I just don't like the general comment YoungStud made here "deficient written English skills that are a result of poor education, laziness or both" I know it's in reference to the emails/texts like "wotca doin 2nite" and these emails/texts hurt my head too at times but poor education may be a little harsh and saying it must be laziness, poor education or both is a little over the top. It's a new "Texting revolution" (Short hand for the masses). I have that same sort of attitude .. I say as long as it is ledgeable it's good enough. (and I think I spelled ledgeable wrong here) but sometimes it's not even ledgeable... and usually that is due to laziness but it could be due to other issues as well... I have really bad spelling and grammar as I have admitted many times... but the reason for my bad grammar and poor spelling is defiantly not laziness or poor education. I just took no interest in English curriculum in school due to a learning disability (dyslexia) that I had to overcome early in life.... because of this I developed some bad habits and ended up hating the "English" curriculum as I struggled severely in school in this subject but where I struggled I excelled equally in other areas. Funny, if someone has poor command on the english language it's easy to say that he/she must be poorly educated as it's hard to conceal that... but I know some english majors who can not do simple math problems... I don't call them poorly educated because of that but it sure is a lot easier to hide the bad math skills as opposed to the bad english skills. Would I consider them stupid? Of course not... that just is not a strong subject for them. One area of the brain makes up for another area's deficiencies and backs my point that we are not all made equally. Some people are good at one thing and not another. We just all need to stop judging everyone. We need to all accept people for who they are and be happy that other people are able to do the things you are not able to do yourself. Getting pissed off at someone for missing a apostrophe or correcting someone's grammar when you obviously know what they are trying to say is just plain ignorant and silly. If you think you are helping them by correcting them you are not... you are actually helping them dislike you. It you correct your automotive mechanics grammer chances are he is not going to correct your transmission problem but he may help you add a few new choice words to your extensive vocabulary!

Your joking here right? Have you read the rest of the thread or did you just look for something to correct me on so you could make a post? If it did actually bother you I must ask... Did this cause you to misunderstand what I was trying to say somehow? If you are bothered by a apostrophe missing from the word it's you must get some serious road rage!! If something as minuscule as this bothers you how do you get by?? Is this a neurological problem? OCD? I can't imagine something like this "Bothering" someone. Hopefully your just trying to be a joker/smart ass by correcting me on this thread as I would have to feel very sorry for someone if this actually bothered them.

The human toll of criminalizing the escort industry
mod replied to a topic in Legal discussion, cases & questions
It is a legal activity here in Canada if you follow the current laws and you can register a business and pay taxes (Same with exotic dancers and other entertainment). Many of the ladies do pay taxes - this way they can buy houses, get loans, etc... it is however a cash business so many of the ladies (especially part time and students) do not pay taxes or claim any income. Some don't pay taxes and are shocked when the revenue Canada shows up asking where all the money came form that they have been putting into their bank account! (MANY ladies get this surprise). I know a SP who owes almost 200 grand right now to revenue Canada as they audited her - she thought she was safe cause she did not register a business but with no proof of income and thousands of dollars going into her bank to pay a mortgage, two cars and three teenage kids (and no income tax being paid) she was caught red handed... this puts up the flags real fast. It would be wise to register a business and file your taxes. Claim your expenses and make the business more legit. You do not have to say you are a prostitute or escort if you do not want to but it is legal in Canada to be a prostitute so if you wish you can list that as your profession. If you are not registered as a business and not paying income tax and your depositing money into your bank account you are going to get a knock on your door one day. I think you can make 30 grand a year without registering a business (I think - don't quote me on this it's been a while) but you STILL need to pay income tax on this amount - every penny you put into your bank account is recorded and files to the government so when you don't pay income tax on this your going to be noticed.
