I gave Keurig a try but eventually decided for the price of the pods it wasn't worth it both for the price per and the quality. So now I keep a grinder on the counter and buy the whole coffee beans, and use a french press to brew my fix.

I'm alone so I have quite a bit of left over turkey so what to do with it. The gravy for hot sandwiches runs out first, there's soup and maybe some individual frozen pot pies. Interested in what others do with theirs.

Was going to make a tortiere this afternoon, but there wasn't any ground pork at Metro. So bought some ground beef and did an old standby, shepherd's pie.

I think it's a rather unpractical idea. You still run into the same problems of divorce during the life any contract. Also, I don't think it's a very strong starting point when one goes in knowing there is an easy way out. In making the decision to get married, I think there are several positive factors which are the basis for going ahead. One has to consider that the institution forms a stable long term platform for having kids. Also, in bad health and difficult times it provides a committed partner to provide support, and one has to assume you're totally committed to the venture long term. Being a widower and of advancing age I had a fleeting thought that maybe this might be for me. But with a little sober second thought it became apparent that the issues were probably more problematic, issues of potential ill health and estate planning come to mind. Better to just have a live in girl friend.

I think if you are concerned about meeting other gents attending this event then this isn't for you. Everyone is anonymous in that they tend to use their alias, but there is a bar and there are others attending the shows. One of the positives is that you get to meet most of the girls at one time. If total anonymity is your goal then go some other time.

Not the same, but if you aren't shy, the easiest way is to show a pic of yourself is to just provide one in your profile.

I would disagree with you on one point. I believe that this gives them less leeway, if arrested I don't think I would give them my password unless permitted to talk to a lawyer. They must have good reason and fully document any access to your phone. I would think also that they would have to have pretty strong grounds to apply for a warrant, trying to arrange a date doesn't impress me as one of those. -

Just wanted to add my voice to the congratulations on a job well done. -
I had a rather pleasant experience the other day when I was getting ready for the Ottawa social. I don't know if you've had this experience, but I've been unable to find a set of my car keys for about six months, couldn't find but not lost. Anyway, I pulled a blazer out of the closet, put it on, and reached into the pocket and low and behold the keys. Shows you how often I put on a blazer since I retired.

I have seen her once, and she gave a very nice massage and I thought she was reasonably priced. You will find an extensive and varied thread about her on the other erb.

If anyone needs a ride in the west end let me know. -
I visit the chip truck periodically for fries or poutine, but not all trucks are created equal and it takes a bit of sleuthing to find the good ones. If their fat isn't hot enough or they don't use the right type of potato then it can be disappointing. Frozen ones just don't cut the mustard. They have to have a bit of crispiness on the outside and have the right fluffy texture on the inside.

Mixed bag for me. Last year I got to spend the holidays with my daughter and grandchild, but traveling to the states over the holidays turned out to be an ordeal, big delay in Chicago. It was the first year I didn't put up the tree. Can't say I'm terribly invested in doing anything for the holidays this year as I've decided to stay at home, will probably be like every other day, maybe a skype session with the family. Well gotta go and wrap some gifts and get them shipped.

I am quite comfortable seeing both, but tend toward indies as I like them to get a better payday, not have to give up the door to the spa. Before you jump on me for that comment, I do understand that they do have their own expenses to cover. I do the spa now and then as their is always someone there that piques my fancy. I also am a little different in that I have my own massage table, and comfortable inviting a lady to my place once I get to know her.

Been screeched more than once, first time I went over to participate in a curling tournie back in the seventies. They're great hosts, but beware that demon screech, it can be rough if drunk in excess.

Words now in the CENSOR list and why...
Boomer replied to mod's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I understand that there is new law, and I would point out that it is untested at this juncture. I'd like to make two points. The first issue is one of accountability, and here there are two people that are responsible for the content. The poster should and must take ultimate responsibility based on the rules of the board, and the board has some part, but I don't thing can be reasonably expected to police every word that gets published in the ads and posts. The second point is about the degree of paranoia about what is coming. It reminds me of the Quebec language laws and the well documented diligence and blunders made by their language police enforcing the sign laws. There may be some scrutiny of content by the authorities, but I can't see them drilling down to analyze content on a board like CERB on a word by word basis. That said, they may occasionally investigate on obviously objectionable ads, but I can't see them devoting their resources unless they get enough complaints. -

One area I am concerned about is the use of the censor list in the PM area. I've always thought of this to be comparable to the real mail which is totally private, accessible only to the sender and receiver, even the postal authorities and LE can not access it without warrant. Should the receiver be embarrassed by or harassed there maybe needs to be a mechanism have a personal do not accept function. I realize that practically and technically mod can see this traffic but would think that he exercises discretion. -
Congratulation on the posts. Because of Christine's moderation Lyla's board will always be one of my favorites.

What happens if the term is written with out abbreviations (longhand)

Relax, the new bill is just being released, and I don't think LE and the prosecutors know yet how to proceed. One area we are likely to see immediate change is in the advertising, where the ladies will have to be less explicit and adjust their screening methods. The other place that enforcement will still be persistent is street level prostitution and under age girls. If you're careful and patronize women with good reputations I think things will be fairly normal.

I was so impressed by your example, that I've decided to also dedicate myself to God and a religious life. -
Might I suggest you put together an email to introduce yourself and ask for any details you want. By doing this you can give her an idea about who you are, your personality, and thus save her having to deal with multiple texts. As a rule I only use text with women I have dealt with previously, or if I want to know if it's convenient for them to take a call.
