Flu or cold ? Doesn't cost a penny to stop by your local pharmacy and get the flu shot, especially as this is such an up close and personal business. Time off is money.

Racism from Providers

I'd like to reinforce the earlier comments. This isn't always an easy job, and has many inherent risks, so women have every right to chose who they offer such an intimate service. -
BitCoin - Currency Option - Would You Consider It
Boomer replied to EsQ69's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I think this has potential, but I don't think I'm ready to look at opening an account. I think there are a number of competing technologies that are evolving in the electronic payments field, and until we see which become the standard, I'll wait. Also I would like to see more vendors offering this payment option. The last concern is that the value of this currency is quite volatile. I was listening to program that talked about Twitters efforts to develop a payment system in France, a simple Tweet to transfer funds. Also under development are electronic purses on your phone, using the near field link between phones. Definitely today's methods will change. -
There is a candy you only get at Christmas, called chicken bones. I suspect you can only get them down east, although I think I've seen them at the bulk barn. They are chocolate with a hard pink cinnamon flavoured coating. UM UM.

I think that the cashless society is inevitable, and I don't think anyone can avoid the trend. As technology advances there will be an inevitable critical mass driving this phenomena. In the future there may not even be a necessity of maintaining an account, you may maintain a balance on your phone, and your access to your local bank branch restricted. As for the third world, in many ways because they don't have a bricks and mortar banking system, they are ahead of us. I was reading about a system in Africa that has developed methods using a basic phone and simple texting to send money and pay bills. All they have to do is buy credits on their phone.

Does the sent forgotton password work?
Boomer replied to ExtraTerrestrial's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
The bookmark I use was saved after I'd logged in and it takes me directly to the main page without having to log in every time. I can't remember if I had set it to remember my password. -
I think probably the idea of outing clients was done in the heat of the moment, and should be taken with a grain of salt. I believe that the ladies would practice discretion in outing their clients as this would ruin their credibility if they did so. As for maintaining a client list, as a business owner they might keep records, although I don't think most do. You must remember that once you surrender the information you don't have any control of it. I wouldn't get too worried though as part of the fee is a guarantee of discretion.

Nice to see the markets rebounding

I gotta agree. I'm now on fixed income so like to see a stable market place for my other investments. Think I missed an opportunity on Wednesday when it bottomed. -
Taking a cab to an incall

I have an android app on my phone. You can order online and see that the ride is assigned and the progress of your driver. -
There is also the option if it's in good condition to donate it to the furniture bank. They collect furniture and give it away to people in need. If you need the info PM me.

Being single I have lots of turkey left over. One of the real treats is to take the caress and left over bits and put them in the stock pot for a delicious soup. I also make up a number of single serving turkey pot pies for the freezer.

Gmail sending out to emails that I did not do.
Boomer replied to Meaghan McLeod's topic in Tech corner
I am a bit leary about viruses on phones. I think to solve a problem like this I would probably do a hard reset on my phone and then restore the data from my backup. One of the reasons for my approach, is that things like this are synced from the originating email account, and I suspect that the virus is more likely to be a problem on your laptop or computer. -
A lot women would be envious and view this as a high light, loosing the weight is such a great high feat. Congrats.

Just another thought on the problem of no shows. You've done a number of these events, so do an average of the no shows and overbook to account for them. This may be a little uncharacteristic, because of the possibility of bad weather and the transportation issues. I still think it's a great idea to try something different, so full speed ahead.

I voted for the west end. You have indicated that the venue has advantages. Car pooling seems like a good option, maybe giving a break for the DD, or at that time of the year there's always Operation Red Nose. Cabs can be expensive, but hey it's Xmas and there's only one party like this every year. Unfortunately, the other problem of no shows is a far more difficult problem. I don't think a $10 charge is probably a sufficient deterrent. I would suggest making it very clear that they will be black listed for future socials unless they give a heads up so that other ladies have the opportunity to attend. I've got a few extra beds if anyone needs to crash.

My gut reaction is this probably isn't possible. I think this form of litigation is a method that many claimants can band together to recover losses. They are complex cases, that a legal firm takes on based on a contingency fee basis. I don't see where the damages come from in a suit to pay the legal team. So I guess this in essence a question of rights rather than money and as such wouldn't qualify.

Thanks Angela for the post, and all those who have taken the time to wish me Happy Birthday. I'm touched and as I've been here for some time, I got to thinking that over the years, I've been fortunate to have actually met 60% of the members responding to this post. Thanks

I don't think most people gift lottery tickets without a reason. Usually it's a reward for doing something for them, and as such the giver has made a calculated risk that if it does come up it will be for a small amount. I personally don't see any reason to share, but might reconsider if it were a few mil.

What is your age range? (male CERB population)
Boomer replied to a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I've turned the corner at 60, a little over weight, and a libido that sometimes is a little bit erratic. -
Be happy, you know what they say. "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."

I also had the same idea, but wonder if the quality and reputation will be the same with the company being sold to Bain Capital. Remember it was Mit Romneys old firm.

I'd also like to recommend Samantha. -
I had a pretty reasonable marriage for 25 years, which came to an end when my wife got cancer and died. I quite deliberately avoided getting involved with another women for a two or three year period after her death. Now I suppose it would be nice to have a new partner, sometimes it's lonely. I travel, and have grown used to living a solitary life, but am a bit cautious about taking the plunge. It would be such a shame to enter a new relationship that failed. Using ladies services, fulfills a brief need, but it's not really possible to expect the same level of intimacy that is to be found in a committed relationship, so maybe I will try again, but won't necessarily be disappointed if it doesn't happen.

Might I suggest that SG go and peruse the help and faq link at the top of the page, you'll find a lot of good info there, and if you take the time to read them you will not offend anyone here. Most of the abbreviations can be found at http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/faq.php?faq=abbreviations#faq_abvlist2
