Thinking of changeing my name.
Boomer replied to TGirl-Kay's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I think it makes a lot of sense to maintain your CERB handle, November. One of the nice things about a Cerbite is that you have a personality that you develop through you posting history and it would be a shame to loose sight of that when you change your name. I would suggest you can use the other name for your web site, but can also have references to November and Cerb there. -
Happy Birthday Katherine
Boomer replied to mrrnice2's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I'd like to add my best wishes for a Happy Birthday. -
Some time ago I started a thread on phone apps. There is a link to an article in the Globe and Mail, and if you don't read it, at least go to the bottom of the article and it will tell you about a number of apps which can be used today to hide your identity. It is really required reading. http://cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=103750&highlight=phone+apps

I just want to have a good experience...
Boomer replied to a topic in Escort Discussion for Nova Scotia
Hey, no one is going to be able to give a recommendation based on the information you're giving us. Big or small, black or white, blonde or brunette, only you know your preferences. Look at the ads, profiles and recommendations and make up your own mind. And remember this it's not all up to the lady, it takes two to tango, you'll only have a good time if you do your part. -
One thing NOT to use to remove body hair...

Oh my, what we will try to do for sex. I had quite a hoot, it's quite humorous if it weren't so serious Give it a little time and I'm sure you will recover, and you will be able to return to some baby making. -
Why do you hobby instead of random hookups?
Boomer replied to frogman0909's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
For me, I had a pretty good marriage, and raised a couple of great kids. I still socialize in to some extent, but value my solitary life. I like to travel, and really am not ready to invest in another relationship. This is a no fuss way to maintain a health sex life, and still have a fairly uncomplicated retirement, void of drama. I would note that I do get a bit attached to those ladies I do see. -
We were all pretty worried. Take some quality time with your family and have a quiet convalescence. I know that we are not getting any younger, but after seeing you at the social I can't believe you're ready to hang up the spurs.

I don't think many woman are terribly comfortable letting you go down both in the same session, as I think they are afraid of transferring germs from the anus to their kitties, and think you'll find most frown on fingers in both. So if you like to rim, make sure they are aware before you go there, and they might want you to clean up before going elsewhere.

I think you should be patient, give mod a chance to get the upgrades done, should see an improvement. If you're going to set up a chat away from the board, remember that CERB has nothing to do with it, and by extension CERB rules don't apply so don't complain about anything that happens there (e.g. something gets their nose out of joint because something says something negative)

I am in a similar situation, and was using a Telus pay as you go basic phone. I decided to go with an Android phone because of email and occasional access to the internet. I am a bit of a techie but wanted something that wasn't going to break the bank. I decided I wanted something at a sub $300 value. I finally settled on an HTC One V which I felt gives me a pretty able phone, and still cheap enough that I can upgrade later. Also, I put it on the TAB which is a progressive payout option. I have data turned off but have the WiFI on all times, especially at home, so I still get all my text and email. I installed the 3G watchdog app so I can turn on data at any time, maybe for instance to check Google maps. This monitors my data usage and keeps me within a cheap data plan. It also syncs my Gmail calendar very nicely. All in all seems to be working nicely for my needs, the only negative might be that it doesn't have an interchangeable battery, but by the time that becomes an issue I'm sure I'll want another upgrade, probably one with an NFC option. Also I'd like to see what BB10 looks like and how well it's accepted.

Anybody having troubles with Chat
Boomer replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Ditto for me too, been like that all day. Soon I'm thinking some people will be having withdrawal symptoms. -
In answer to Danc post, the list is as good as the help the Cowboy gets from all of us. He's going to catch quite a few on his own using an app like Tineye, but if you happen to have a bad experience be sure to send him a note so that he can investigate and update his list. You might want to buy him a beer in appreciation for his hard work.

I'm really very fortunate to have made a number of good friends through CERB, and I think I'm not unique. I know of a number of situations where client and provider have unselfishly helped one another under difficult situations. I'm a bit anxious today as I'm going in for eye surgery tomorrow, and had been told that I wouldn't be allowed to leave unless I had someone there to see that I got home safely. This is a bit difficult as I'm a widower and live alone, my kids have long since left the nest. When I mentioned it to one of the service providers here, she graciously agreed to accompany me. As luck would have it I've been able to find someone a little closer to home, but none the less it shows that this lady has a big heart. I think we should award a gold star now and then for good deeds. So, I'd like to give Angela of Ottawa a gold star for being there for me.

Love, I think it's great falling in love whether it's with a professional or not. But, I think you have to keep your perspective. The vast majority of people who are part of this community maintain two identities, one that you share during an encounter and the other when you're off the clock and at home. So I think it's of the utmost importance that you realize which person you're really think you know.

Lose virginity to a SP - opinions?
Boomer replied to 42092's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Here are a few of my observations. From your post, I don't get the impression that you are terribly enthusiastic, so maybe the problem is that you're being too tentative. I tend to think it's best to try the old fashion way first, get out and socialize, find a girl friend and invest yourself in a relationship. But if you've made the decision to hire a professional to cope your cherry, then by all means. Maybe you need to cast your gaze a little farther afield, you're in a fairly small market with limited options, so maybe you might have to take a road trip. Find someone with a bit of maturity and a good rep, check the reviews on a number of boards, and take a look of some of their posts. I don't think there are too many ladies out there that your virginity would be an issue as long as you're respectful. Lastly, try to keep your expectations reasonable and don't be too cheap. Good luck, enjoy, step up to the plate and do it. -
I still see it when I log in, but I do seem to remember that the mod was making a few changes to it lately. I checked and found that he's got a thread about it in the town council area. Look for the following title. Shout Box Disabled - For NEW moderated members at this time

I read a really interesting article this morning in the Globe and Mail, and I am posting the URL here. There are a lot of pros and cons depending on your position in this industry. Obviously a client can hide using a spoofed number using an app like Burner, and a service provider can identify a blocked number using an app like Mr. Number. It will be interesting to see how the CRTC handles the issue, especially as the tech industry is generally two steps ahead of the regulator. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/technology/tech-news/crtc-sounds-alarm-over-controversial-phone-apps/article4516986/ I posted it here because I thought more users would and should see it than would be in the tech forum.

Should I give up Cable TV?
Boomer replied to Jabba's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
After you've paid the rent, food and all the other necessities you have what is called disposable income, and everyone spends this pot of money the way they choose. The package I get from cable I consider to be pretty good value. I'm a bit of a news junkie so I spend an hour a day catching up, and hey some time on BNN checking the stock market, and couldn't get by without my daily Corrie fix. With a PVR you can be selective with when you watch and there are are lots of good shows out there. I think if you decide to cut the cord, you can find lots of additional expense to go purely internet based, more expense in higher speed and bandwidth, the occasional DVD purchase, or the show that's not free and you have to pay to download. I think your choice simply boils down to a lifestyle choice and what are your entertainment needs. -
I don't know if anyone has seen this one, called "The Client List" There was a newspaper article in the paper last week about the series beginning it's second season. I don't think it made it north of the border and they were trying to get a slot here for it. The reason I mention it is because it revolves around this industry. The lead actress is Jennifer Love Hewitt, the story of young woman who takes a job at a massage parlor to support her family when her husband is unable to work, and soon finds her life spiraling out of control. Probably a bit of a soap opera.

It's the first order of business in the morning, putting on a pot of Red Rose/Orange Pekoe. Once steeped I sit and read for an hour with a cup or two while reading the the Globe and Mail for my news fix. It's probably 11 before I consider the first coffee of the day. Also I don't think there is anything more refreshing in the heat than a cuppa tea.

maybe a newbie question on SP and client and a known risk
Boomer replied to tayhan's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Have to agree with RG There's really only one way to avoid a risk of contracting an STD, and that's to have a monogamous relationship. If you choose to step outside a committed relationship you have obviously made a decision to incur that risk, and it's up to you to keep it as low as you can. Many times these infections spread because they may not necessarily be obvious in the initial stages, and I can't believe that any of the ladies here would knowing work if she became aware that an infection had occurred. It's really up to you to manage your own risk by being selective, and practicing safe sex. -
How did you decide on your CERB name
Boomer replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
It's been quite a long time now, I was just looking for a name that I could use or some variation of it which could be appropriate for a number of different sites. It seemed to fit then as I was still contemplating retirement.
