  1. Well done, most records are made to be broken but this one will stand forever. Your contribution to the board is outstanding. Congratulations.
  2. Sorry that you had this experience. Maybe in future you make it a condition of the date. At many meetings and events today generally the host will ask the attendees to make sure that their phones are turned down so as they don't interrupt. Maybe we need to make it a habit that we ask at the start of an encounter that the phone be turned off, unless we know the provider and her habits.
  3. I think you have a cynical idea of marriage. I suppose I would be more like your parents generation, and my union did survive until my wife's death. One takes an oath at the wedding, and maybe it's a matter that todays partners don't understand that fact and that their word doesn't carry the same weight. Marriage has it's ups and downs and takes a lot of work to make it work. I also disagree with your assertion that a relationship with an SP is a more honest. Seeing an Sp behind your partners back is a cop out if you hold it up as a substitute for a lack of intimacy in your relationship. It just means that you lazy and aren't communicating and doing the hard work at maintaining your marriage. If you're not having sex then it's a pretty clear indication you have been ignoring the things that are important, i.e. when the wife comes home worn out from a day at work, you take her out to supper or get her to sit down while you do supper. As a married person, once you embrace this lifestyle it's pretty hard to go back. I am a widower and can participate here as I don't really expect to have an other long time partner, unless it happens by chance.
  4. You do need a program on your computer to install the apps with the bar extension you download to the playbook. If you go to the apps store on goodereader and select the Blackberry Playbook Android Apps you will find an application with the Blackberry logo called Essential Download - Load Android Apps on your Playbook. When you go there you will find the full instructions.
  5. I think you should stay clear. This is a very personal event in a mans life and it's better to let him sort it out for himself. You might want to reassure him that there's no rush. I remember my first time and it came out of the blue at a most unexpected time and I was very lucky to have had the experience with quite a wonderful and understanding woman. As already stated, if you do set him up and he has a disaster he's not going to thank you.
  6. Just got home from a ten day road trip. Attended the Halifax social, a side trip to PEI to visit with MrNice, and then to Toronto to see my son off for a job in the Middle East. It's going to be so nice to lay my head down in my own bed tonight.
  7. I get the impression that muffins is making what in sales terms would be a cold call. If during their conversation she gets the sense that he's interested if she makes a better offer and does so, then so be it. At that point it's really up to him to make his own judgment call based on whether he's gets good vibes through their conversation.
  8. Budgets are to be broken, and I do so often. I kinda got through cycles, and as luck would have it that's not really a problem.
  9. I just managed to install several android apps on my BB playbook. It was pretty easy once you get the hang of it. You can get the side load program and the bar files which are playbook compatible at a site called good e reader.
  10. User Control Panel Take a look at the top of the pages and you will find a row of options, the first is the user cp. Go there to see the threads that you are subscribed to, and a recent list of your posts that have received rep points.
  11. First question I have, as she doesn't want to have sex, is she aware of your desire to start satisfying your urge outside the marriage. It sounds to me that you're at a fairly embryonic stage. Most people in this community live with two identities. Before you start give some thought as to how you're going to manage this part of your life without drawing attention from your better half, phone, email, money and time. So you want to go ahead, give some thought to your needs. If it's not bang bang you might want a longer session or if you want more intimacy you may want a more mature experienced lady. After you sort that out then it's a matter of doing the research, going through the ads, recommendations, profiles and posts. Take the plunge, if it doesn't always work out, try again and you'll eventually find a few women who fit the bill.
  12. I've got to agree with RG, You've done you research and managed a short list, so go with your gut. Good luck and enjoy.
  13. Since I see you're in the FS section, I believe Taylor Monroe and Sarah MQ are both pretty close by.
  14. So they change the payment requirements, so what. There has been a shift in attitudes since your parents time. When I bought my first home I did put 25% down, and I had a 17.5 % mortgage. It was the norm to save and pay for what we wanted. By contrast, today it's instant gratification. You want a second car, a boat, or a vacation you put it on credit. It's a shame that Carney and Flaherty have to manipulate the rules because credit has become such a burden to the average Canadian.
  15. I just have to echo the sentiment that we a great time and got a chance to meet the faceless members that we hear from everyday on the board. Kudos to Mr Nice and Katherine for the work they put into the event. I was a little bit sad that Taloon didn't make an appearance. To be noted, there were people representing five different provinces who attended. Now it's up to some of the other local members to roll up their sleeves and organize a follow up event. It's the start of something, so hopefully it's not allowed to wither on the vine.
  16. First, this a milestone, my 500th post. I'm on a road trip, a nice hotel, and a great party to attend in Halifax this evening with some really cool people. Life doesn't get much better.
  17. I generally make choices that I hope will lead to a second date. I don't think you can really develop a rapport unless you have several appointments. As for becoming too attached, take the risk. You have to remember that you may start to develop a close personal attachment, but in the end when she ushers you out the door she goes back to her regular life. You have to have the discipline to control how far you allow yourself to go.
  18. Tantric sex is often misunderstood, in that it's simply a technique to prolong a sexual experience. I think the basics take many sessions to learn about the seven chakras and how the energy flows through them in your body. One must develop the floor muscles by doing kegals and be able to develop strong enough control so that you can get highly aroused and yet choke off the ejaculation. By repeating this cycle one heightens the eventual climax which may not include ejaculation. It's almost like a religion to it's devotees.
  19. Good attitude, you'll do fine. We all make a few mistakes along the line but we keep on participating. I have to believe you're on here to start again taking part in the hobby, so maybe it's time to dip your toe in the water.
  20. Well I must say Phantom that's a hell of a first post. You hit the nail on the head. Lets hope you don't wait another six years before you post again, I think you might have something to contribute. A belated welcome.
  21. My dear, don't worry yourself. Do a little research and you're going to find a nice lady here. I'm older and carrying some extra baggage, and I suspect few of us can claim to be model material, and I've never had any negativity about my weight. AS Cleo says , be clean and respectful and you'll have a good time. I find if I'm open and try to be friendly I get reciprocal treatment.
  22. Gotta get a room for my trip to the Halifax social. Put in bids on Priceline the last two days but still haven't found the sweet spot. Will give it another try tomorrow.
  23. The greenbelt, unlimited walks to explore in the greenbelt. A lot of the time I'll take along a GPS and do some Geocaching. It's a great hobby because you get to see what the locals find interesting.
  24. Just a suggestion, take a look in the Rules and Faq section at the top of the page. There is a Faq there titled List of common Abbreviations where you will find most of the information you're seeking. Welcome to CERB and good luck.
  25. I have a sister in Vancouver, whose got a bunch of containers of water stashed on the back porch. I asked her about it and she said it was for an emergency in case of an earthquake. I guess they figure to have one there eventually. As for me, I've got quite a cellar of wine, so I'm not going to go dry.
