  1. So I'm on an empty bus going home at around 12:30am when these 2 girls get on who seem (to me anyway) young enough to still be in high school (don't worry.....this isn't a dirty story). So these 2 girls get on, all dolled up for the club, wearing (what seems to me anyway) to be waaaaaayyyy too little clothing for girls their age. I think to myself "Oh great......now I'm gonna have to a listen to a bunch of 'so I was all like......omg did you see what she was wearing?? Omg I know! She is soooooooo fat!' Etc, etc, etc". I reach into my pocket to pull out my headphones when to my surprise....they quietly sit down and begin intelligently discussing the latest novel they're reading! And an actual novel! Not Harry Potter or Twilight! Looks like there may be some hope for the next generation after all! :D Posted via Mobile Device
  2. The Crossing Guard, directed by Sean Penn, with the always awesome Jack Nicholson and David Morse, who is one of my favorite actors. No "good guys and bad guys" in this one. We have Nicholson's character whose every waking (and unwaking) thought is about revenge against the drunk driver (Morse) who killed his daughter. So much so that it takes over every aspect of his life and his rage destroys all relationships. Then we have David Morse's "John Booth" who is consumed with not rage, but guilt over what he has done. He can't allow himself any happiness......as with the grieving father, this incident has also taken over every aspect of his life and also ruins his relationships. It tells of two men from opposite ends of a tragic incident but whose pain is remarkably similar. Definitely not a "feel good" movie by any stretch of the imagination but it is powerful and the performances are simply awesome.
  3. Reading an AWESOME short story while my apt gradually fills up with the smell of cooking lasagna. DOUBLE dose of awesome! :D
  4. I'm late to the party!!! Happy Birthday!! I can't find any cute/funny pictures so these will just have to do :bj2: Additional Comments: No wait....I found something else! errrr.......just pretend your name's Emma 'kay?
  5. I often turn everything off and go to the movies by myself and love it! My friends think I'm weird lol. I strongly believe that Voluntary Solitude is something everyone occasionally needs but not enough people are comfortable enough to allow themselves to have. Posted via Mobile Device
  6. It sucks how remembering someone's birthday holds absolutely no meaning anymore because the other person will just assume you looked it up on freakin' facebook. Posted via Mobile Device
  7. Walking down the street and I see a hottie eatin' a hotdog....'nuff said ;)
  8. Like Red said....I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding someone to help with the stroking :) ......Just don't be lookin' in my direction!!! I'm all about lending a helping hand when it's needed.......but even I have my limits. In all seriousness though. Best of luck to you. These things are never easy but rest assured you'll have the thoughts and prayers of everyone in the ol' cerb crowd with you the entire time.
  9. I dunno....no offense intended but statements like this always me shake my head a little. I was born and raised in QC and been Anglophone all my life. Was raised in an Anglophone home (in QC) and always went to Anglophone schools (in QC). I've never once felt frowned upon nor have I ever run into any hostility for being english. In fact some of my best friends growing up (and still friends to this day) are frenchies. Personally I think the idea that Anglophones aren't welcome on this side of the bridge is a total stereotype. And as with most stereotypes it's one that is bred from ignorance. I don't mean ignorant in the derogatory sense, I just mean that maybe a lot of people are ignorant to the facts. People don't want to come here because they think they'll run into hostility for being english, and yet how do they know if they never do come over here? Sure if you were going to Quebec City or Trois Rivieres, somewhere like that. You may run into a little hostility if you can't speak french. But in the Gatineau/Hull area? Unlikely. There's a lot more english speaking people over here than you'd expect. And being as close to Ottawa as we are even the people whose first language is french will usually be at least somewhat bilingual. Just take the beautiful Malika, she's a perfect example. Us square heads over here get along just fine with our Francophone counter parts, at least I have in my 30 some odd years of experience living over here.
  10. It is cleaned up. Hull is pretty tame these days. A lot more shit goes down in Ottawa on a Friday or Saturday night than it does in Hull. But unfortunately Hull/Gatineau has a "Evil Quebec" image it can't shake with the Ontarians. Personally I just think the Ottawa folk are afraid that they'll be expected to speak french the second they cross the bridge....or worst yet, someone will speak french to them! The audacity! :p
  11. Well....that's going to be stuck in my head for at least a week now. As long as I don't catch myself singing it out loud at work as I sometimes do when something's stuck in there :p Posted via Mobile Device
  12. I don't get it either. I've been living in Hull for well over a decade now. Pretty much in all different areas of Hull at one time or another. And I've never been mugged, I've never been swarmed, I've never been stabbed or shot. In fact I read and hear about more such crimes happening on the Ottawa side than on the QC side. 13. Ok....now this shit's just getting weird. Notice how all the incidents are in Florida and the surrounding areas and the most recent one in Georgia? It's slowly working its way up here!! http://i.imgur.com/GlmhV.png
  14. Could it be?? http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/05/26/2818832/naked-man-shot-killed-on-macarthur.html
  15. Having no food, being very hungry. But being too considerate to order take out and make the poor delivery guy go out in this insane weather. Damn my good nature!!
  16. Bouncy Bouncy Boobies on a Bouncy Bouncy Bus. No it's not just a stereotype. This really is the highlight of a man's day. Well...this man, anyway ;) Posted via Mobile Device
  17. Vanessa Kelly is in town this week. I haven't seen her myself (yet), but judging from reviews and from her own ads and website, it seems she all but insists on a facial finale. :D I would say she may be someone for you to consider while she's around. Between her and the lovely ladies who have commented on this thread so far, I'd say you have plenty of excellent choices to choose from. Enjoy!
  18. I'm really not much of an "outdoors" person. But I've never wanted to go fishing with someone so badly in my life!! ;) (Sorry, Dad. lol)
  19. Having one of my comments on facebook "liked" by Lou Ferrigno.........yeah I'll admit it, I'm a total geek fanboy lol.
  20. For me it's all about the little things (no pun intended :p ). The little things stick in my mind. Last year on my birthday I saw one of my favorite SP's, and I was treated to a nice bday card when I got there. I don't think I had announced that it was my birthday. I think she learned through cerb that day, and took the time out of her day before our appt to go out and pick up a b-day card for me. Nothing major but to me it was. Probably the high point of my birthday that year :) just that little bit of extra attention makes all the difference. And another of my favorite SP's, will often text me out of the blue just to say Hi. That really means the world to me! Obviously for the married men out there a text out of the blue might not be a good idea, but even just a quick PM on here to say "How's it going?" Or "I had a great time the other day", etc. Those make all the difference. Let's me know I'm on her mind and that gives me the warm, fuzzies :D Posted via Mobile Device
  21. Losing the laundry card for my building. And my rental office in my building is closed over the weekend so I can't get a new one. And being completely and utterly out of any clean clothes. Been in my underwear all weekend as a result.....and I'm down to my last pair of clean ones! And I got a movie to go to with a friend tomorrow afternoon! Praying that the rental office is open tomorrow morning so I can get a new one even though it's a stat holiday.......otherwise I'll be showing up to the movies in the buff!
