This must be a special breed of customers. I, too, get them once in a while. They don't listen to the instructions and show up 15 minutes early or half hour late, and usually end up knocking on a neighbour's door or I can hear them having an animated conversation with somebody in the hallway... I don't think there is a remedy for this. If you can tell he is not paying attention on the phone, find an excuse and don't see him. Some people are just born inconsiderate. These are the ones who bang on your door like there was a fire, and yell when they enter so everybody on the floor knows you are having a visitor. I hate them, because they are inconsiderate and unpredictable. Thank God, there aren't too many of them.

Very much so:) I don't understand why would a guy make himself so sexy only to waste himself on men ;) kidding.... I think the truth is that there is no way of abolishing sex work, because there will always be people who need it and women who want to provide it. I think that sex work is truly empowering as long as it is the woman's choice, no one is forcing her, she keeps all the money, she can choose who she wants to see and she is not a minor. Every other scenario, like minors, or forced prostitution by a boyfriend or a pimp is the opposite: it is not freedom, but oppression. We have to differentiate between the two. As far as abolitionists are concerned, I think we should just let them talk, nobody takes them seriously. In every country, even in the US where prostitution is illegal, it is widely tolerated. I think that most governments consist of men, and men understand their fellow men's need for this service. :) Once in a while they punish one that is stupid enough to get caught, like Eric Spitzer, but not because he is using the service, but because he is so stupid that he endangers other people's fun.

I think the law is there to prevent some religious fanatic from reporting 14 year old high school sweethearts if they are caught having sex, and to make sure if a 14 year old girl gets pregnant she can get married without being prosecuted. But call me old fashioned. If I had a 14 year old son and someone made a porn movie with him I would cut his &*%^&$ off, I don't care if he consented or not. A 14 year old might be mature sexually, but mentally is still a child and can be very easily influenced. I would not want my child to learn how to be a porn star before he finishes school and decides on a carrier. When he is old enough he can do porn movies if this is what he wants to do, but not at fourteen.

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Just because we are independent and chose this type of work it doesn't mean everybody did. I have a hard time believing that a teenager running away from an abusive home ends up in the hands of pimps and drug dealers because she wants to. I think BECAUSE we are strong and independent women, we have the obligation to look out for those who can't speak up for themselves. If there is a problem, we should not help to sweep it under the rug. Having said that, I think it is an absolute nonsense to say that everybody in the sex industry is exploited. The majority is in this because they want to, whether to make good money or because they enjoy what they do.

In think everybody can set the price as high as she wants to in the hope that she will receive it. I am not sure if you are trying to find out the cause just for the sake of a discussion, or that you are unhappy with the average price girls (and you) can charge? If the latter is the case I would suggest a girl should try to get into a "higher bracket" by trying to accommodate more affluent people. We all have seen the $5000 girl is not much prettier than the average escort, but she does things differently, like getting involved with a high end agencies, being available for travel, having a wardrobe for every occasion rich people are involved in, like golfing or gala dinners.... And of course she should always be impeccably groomed and dressed, be very discreet and have good manners, etc. In this business you determine your price. I have set mine at a level where I can work comfortably without having to be perfect, but if I was younger and wanted to make big money I would probably do what I suggested. If for example a girl gives a guy a BJ for a beer, he will gladly take it, and the girl just put herself in the "one beer" bracket. The opposite is also true. I have a problem with "under no circumstances". If one of my clients would murder an SP and the police would question me about him, I would tell them everything I know. So, if you plan to murder someone, you'd better not see me :) Other than that, I am very discreet. The other problem I am having with the wording of "strive to accommodate". I see myself as an independent service provider, on the same level as the customer and don't feel the need to "strive" for anything. Striving suggests subservience and I have a problem with that:) I would change it to "do my best".

I personally think that no matter how close I get to a client, I am just a nice distraction in his life, and he belongs to his family, to the people who held his hand on his death bed. I would never think of going to his funeral. Not that there is anything wrong with wanting to, I just wouldn't. In the ten years I've been in this business I had many occasions where clients told me how much they loved me, even told me they were in love with me. I never encourage them, and I have learned to dismiss it as a fantasy, because this is what it is. It has passed sooner or later in every single case. I am saying if someone would really love me he would want to be with me all the time. There is no such thing as part-time love :)

I think everything is supply and demand. Same price as 15 years ago is at least 20% price decrease. Basically, prices went down and that means more girls or less customers. I think the onslaught of the Asians - at least here in Vancouver - has influenced the prices. Those girls come over for a few months and $100 per hour is a fortune for them. Even if their pimps or traffickers (mamasan, papasan) pocket a large percentage of it, they are still happy.
