Wow, on the CanadaHelps website it states that you can contribute to any of Canada's 83,000 charities. It has a search function to find the charity of ones choice. I would of never guessed that there were so many. It is always personally rewarding to help others that are in need, especially the children.

Chances are that for last minute calls you probably will have to try one of the agencies. If you are willing to give more notice, say at least one hour your chances of setting up a rendezvous will greatly increase with independents and agencies.

I place the donation in an unsealed envelope before the encounter. When I see the provider, I remove the money and count the donation in front of the provider, this way I feel it just eases the providers mind and will make for a more relaxing rendezvous.
