This thread brings back great memories. My favourite haunt was Valentinos. In those days dancers provided great dances on stage. They would make full use of the pole and the stage floor and were extremely creative and great dancers. It made the whole watching experience that much more enjoyable. Nowadays you do not see that much. Mostly the girl walking from one end of the stage to another and taking off a piece of clothing after each song. No connection with the crowd. Makes you wonder why they evn bother to get up on the stage.

I agree with Dumpy's choice of Coconut Lagoon. Excellent food. Another place I like is more like a hole in the wall but the food is tasty and the owner very friendly and accomodating. It's called Shaan Curry house and is on Merivale Road in the strip mall opposite CJOH TV station.
