  1. Non industry related but I once picked up the phone when I had a home phone to a telemarketer and they said "Hello this is xxxxx company. Can I please speak to your parents?" Lmao...it made my day. I have clients who almost hung up because they said I sounded too young when I initially said hello and weren't expecting that kind of voice. When I start speaking, it's a different story. I stopped using a personalized voicemail greeting.
  2. I go to see Girls Trip with Queen Latifah and Jada Pickett Smith. It was funny but shouldn't have lasted 2 hours. It was a bit too drawn out imo.
  3. Hehe I love the yoga pants request I get from time to time because I have about 20 pairs of them and like to wear them during my time off. And for the request, I love to wear them with 6 inch heels.
  4. When I need upliftment from time to time, I will watch this even though it's from many years ago. I never get tired of watching it. Just amazing! Dreams can come true.
  5. Getting my twice weekly wash and blow dry done on my hair.
  6. Just came from spending a wonderful afternoon/evening with a wonderful gentleman. I should have had dinner but caught up in other things. Too tired now. A few soda crackers should be good til tomorrow morning. Breakfast and lunch are the most important.
  7. I was being playful in a flirty way..not sarcastic and thank you. :)
  8. I like doing that too sometimes because they are so full lol but I do miss the days of having smaller 34 C breasts. I'm bra less today while on my elliptical. Has anyone worked out topless on their treadmill or elliptical? I admit I've done it a few times. Topless with yoga pants. Less laundry lol.
  9. Ouch! Hope you're okay! I once had a yellow jacket bee nestling in my cleavage while I was washing dishes after coming in from outside. Luckily I did not get stung and he just casually flew out. To help the pain, mix a spoonful of baking soda with water on a cotton ball to the area where you got stung. This helps neutralize the venom. Then use vinegar if it begins to itch. Those bees are a pain to deal with.
  10. Watching the first episode of the new season 5 of Ray Donovan on project free tv.
  11. Clients who make inappropriate comments that are not conducive to the encounter and totally uncalled for and having to explain to them why it's inappropriate. It's definitely a piece of sh*t sure fire way to never get invited back.
  12. Clients come to visit to get away and relax not to be bothered with someone else's money troubles. Imo I find that very unprofessional to ask a client for an advance or a loan. Why is this a client's problem? Sometimes people try to guilt other people into things when it's really not their place anyways. Clients are not atm machines at another's disposal. You may as well cut your losses and move on.
  13. Taking another trip down south this winter and found the type of island tour I was looking for.
  14. Probably nothing. Haven't stopped for a moment today and ate both breakfast and lunch. I'm too tired.
  15. From an SP's perspective, I do not use references. As I have learned from personal experience, clients can treat one SP a certain way and then turn around and treat another SP a different way. While I have gathered references in the past, it is not 100%. It is a useful tool but is never foolproof either. For those ladies who ask for them, that is their prerogative. There is no right or wrong way. I prefer to use my own methods to decide whether or not I will meet a person. There are some clients my SP friends have seen several times and I've met them and chose not to see them again because they rubbed me the wrong way. No pun intended. And on a funny note relating to the subject, I've had a few gentlemen use me as references with no problems but one lady asked me " So and so said he was xxxxxxx with the green shirt." As if I'm supposed to remember who he is without giving a name or number. Total waste of time. Lol. If someone is going to going to give a reference, please use your name, number and also a Lyla handle.
  16. Haha! My first apartment was across the street from Fanny's at Bank/McClaren but for $500 a month working two jobs and going to school.. It was somewhat of a dive apartment but you couldn't go wrong esp being downtown. I knew a few dancers who worked at Fanny's from college and would go say hi to them once in a while. Same with the Silver Dollar, had a good friend who worked there. I would meet them after work on weekends and we would go out for an early breakfast. I often think about them.
  17. Surrendered a problem to the universe and it came back with an even better solution I was hoping for.
  18. Many of my good regulars have me in their phone as "Nick Mechanic" lol. I never text them out of the blue and some have told me I can text whenever but I don't feel fully comfortable with that. I have a select few I can count on my hand where texting is no problem at anytime and a few I've established a good rapport with them so we talk fairly often because I see them a lot. I used to have a client from out of town I used to speak to on messenger and we would have a code where he start off with the first part of the name of his boat and I would finish the last part of the name of the boat. That way he would know it was me on the computer and not someone else at that time.
  19. I'm guilty of doing that to the point where it could have gotten wet.. Sometimes I feel the phone is almost as though it's glued to my forehead. I am old enough to remember life without cell phones lol.
  20. The book "The Surrender Experiment" by Michael A. Singer. A fascinating real life story of what happens when you stop letting your fears and desires dictate your life and simply let go.
  21. If I get a text whether it's from someone I know or don't know, I won't text back after 20 minutes. Sometimes I'm busy or not available and can't answer right away. If you don't want a provider to text you back after a long time has passed or simply out of the blue, tell them you can reached until such and such a time and after that, please don't call or text back. If they can't follow those instructions, then that is a huge red flag right there.
  22. Getting over a problem I had with my left eye after a reaction to something although now I'm a bit more asymmetrical to a trained eye but with some time will get better.
