Keep em....or Leave him
Nicolette Vaughn replied to alexgrenyait's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Alex, this guy is not worth even after all the money and gifts. Perhaps he feels because he is paying you that it gives him a license to say whatever he feels like. It is a good thing you confronted him about these comments and if he were a smart individual, he would have stopped a long time ago. It's times like this when you just have to put yourself first and ditch him. It's a tough thing to do ( the confrontation part) but maybe this will make him realize what he is losing. I am in a similar situation where I have a client who has wronged me in the past. I'm no longer comfortable seeing him even though he has been generous but there have been some things I cannot overlook anymore because it has always bothered me even though I only see him on rare ocassions. Bottom line, I don't trust him. Always do what your gut instinct tells you to do. You obviously knew it was wrong, you tried to get him to see your way and he hasn't. I also believe the constant gift giving on every appt is a manipulation tactic. They know they've done something wrong and this is their way to reel you back in. In some of sick and twisted way, this is their way of regaining power over you. While this can be tempting, if he's a regular doing a lot of gift giving and seeing you a lot, sometimes we have to put the business and financial aspect aside and leave it all behind. You can make money from other clients who aren't going to give you an emotional headache. No need to swallow your pride from someone who has no respect for you whatsoever. It's time to clean house. -

Any "new Alexa Taylors" out there?

Most people think I have retired and just haven't caught up to me yet because I tend to fly low on the radar. Thanks for your PM Contraman. :) -
Happy Birthday PistolPete

Happy Birthday Pistol Pete!!! XOXO -
I've come out of retirement so many times but I've had other reasons for returning other than just seeing it as a lucrative situation. I've also never been burnt out because I have paced myself for so long and taking breaks here and there while not getting caught up in the business so much that it would wear me down. One of the reasons I returned is because I was so damned bored. No excitement. Same thing, day in and day out. Yes, I had other things going on in my life but I always need to feel busy. I need to feel and be productive. So now I have my hands full (pardon the pun) and I don't mind a bit. I love having a lot of things to do. Most ladies return for various reasons and a lot of people like to think it is because they're broke, have no money or they spent it all on frivilous things or drugs. Maybe in some cases but this business has many advantages to it besides the money. It also provides you with the freedom to pursue other things without getting completely tied down to it like other jobs would. The flexibility is great. Personally, I think those guys who talk badly about ladies coming out of retirement are just jealous. Some resent our feminine wiles and the ability to make money while we still can. So to put it bluntly, screw em'. It's no one's business if you were to return. I remember some loser on another board a few years ago once say that my relationship had failed because I left the business for 2 years and then returned. First of all, it was none of his business and he didn't know a damn thing about my life. It is people like that who are so pathetic. I'm sure he had no one in his life to share it with and was probably resentful. You have obviously thought it over and whatever decision you come to is yours and yours alone. That is the beauty of this job. You could come out of retirement for one day, one month or one year and leave again.

Question about apartments
Nicolette Vaughn replied to xxAngelina's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I've never had to do this myself but I know other ladies who have....Try and find a condo or apartment that is a sublet. There are people out there in positions where they have to get rid of their apartment quickly. Then you only have to deal with them. If they get a good vibe that you are a person of good character and have first and last month's rent, you may be in luck. You can always try looking on kijiji and search under "sublet". Another way is to find a condo owner who rents privately. They will most likely want you to sign a one year lease but if they forgo the credit check and see you're a decent person with first and last month's rent, you win. If you aren't employed elsewhere, try and get someone to vouch for you by writing a letter of employment with the company's letterhead on top. This letter is always a good tool to have when hunting for an apartment. Preferably the person writing this letter should be someone you know ( i.e. a bf, longtime regular client) and state how much you make either monthly or yearly. They should also be in a position to do this for you without any consequences on their end.. meaning not losing their job. They could own their own small business, etc. Good luck! -
A few months I had a new client come to visit me. I told him that we should take care of business before we get started and he said " No, we'll do it after." I politely said that it has to be taken care of beforeahnd or I wouldn't be going ahead with the appt. He reluctantly agreed, put the money on the table and I think once he realized I wasn't out to rip him off, he was okay. When he came back to see me a second time, he immediately put the money on the table. Get the money upfront ladies. We are providing a service and even though it is sometimes veiled in fantasy, it is still a business and funds need to be dealt with. It's not that we're greedy but if you were to put the shoe on the other foot, would you go to work for x amount of time knowing there was a chance your employer was going to shortchange you or not pay you at all? No way. So the same applies to our business even though the service is much more intimate than going to a driv-thru and getting a french fry. Although these days that is debatable but I digress.... Personally I don't care if it's a mood wrecker with people I don't know. With regulars, the money is on the table in full view before the session begins and with others they leave it after because here is a level of trust that has been achieved but I still count it before they leave. I have good regulars and none of them have stiffed me or they would have heard about it.

does anyone believe...
Nicolette Vaughn replied to LuxeMulvari's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Yes, I believe in ghosts because I have seen one before. The first house I grew up in was haunted as well as another one we lived in. I keep an open mind when it comes to the spirit world. I have a family member who is psychic and they have seen and heard things. -
Another thing is some of these guys who go into these arrangements get comfortable thinking you are now their girlfriend and become lax on the payments. As awkward as it is, you have to consistently remind that that this is an arrangement. They don't like to hear this and there is always the conflict of "pretending" to be their girlfriend and then reminding them about the financial aspect. Too many contradictions imo and feelings often get in the way. At least when you're SP, both parties know what they are there for, have a good time, you get paid and both of you go home satisfied. This doesn't happen in these arrangements. You will be left physically and mentally tired because of the many insecurities of some of these men. Believe it or not, for some of them it is about control. I hate to sound jaded but being in that situation for almost a year made me rethink a lot of things and I also stayed away from the SP business too because I felt so mentally exhausted. Being an SP is so much satisfying for me and I appreciate all my regulars and new people who visit me. Just take some time to think about the decision you will be making. It sounds lucrative and sometimes even fun but there are many roadblocks along the way. Many of these guys are looking for a relationship and eventually don't want to pay. I firmly believe that these setups don't exisit with no strings attached. You will pay in one way or another.

Life's Little Surprises
Nicolette Vaughn replied to Nicolette Vaughn's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I found an envelope in my bag from when a client gave it to me 2 weeks ago. It still had $20 in it after I had taken the rest of the money out a while back. Either I'm being very forgetful or good at stashing money away subconsciously.lol. -
Yes and speaking from personal experience, it was an extremely lucrative arrangement and I did not see other clients for almost a year. However, it was not worth the headache. Too much BS, insecurities with the client thinking they own you and are always suspicious that you're seeing other clients. Why would I see other clients if I'm in good arrangement like this? I called it off and swore I would never get that involved in an arrangement like that again. Not worth it imo. I find it better to have a client who you genuinely enjoy spending time with and agree to see them a few times each month and give them a bit of a discount in exchange. While this isn't completely secure as things can change, at least you know you have a good regular with no strings attached and both parties can walk away free and clear without the bs.

He just wanted to talk
Nicolette Vaughn replied to whiteman's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I had that happen once where someone wanted to talk about the difficulties they were having in their marriage. I wasn't married nor could I relate and was in absolutely no position to counsel this person. I told him as nice as a person he was and how sorry I was to hear of his difficulties, I could listen but not give solid advice. Sometimes people just need a shoulder to lean on. Other than that, I think it is very rare that this would happen. -
I just found $640 while cleaning out a drawer in my bedroom! Has this ever happened to anyone else? It's happened to me a few times before because I stash money away and always end up forgetting about it. Today went from a very good day when I met a very nice gentleman this afternoon to a fantastic day. Yay!

He just wanted to talk
Nicolette Vaughn replied to whiteman's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I think talking is great but if it were just that and that only, I would have a problem. The physical part is an important component. There is nothing like like a good conversation to get things going but then again I have a dirty mind and mouth!!! LOL. -
Bed Bug Epidemic-Not A Joke
Nicolette Vaughn replied to roamingguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I heard bedbugs were resistant to a certain chemical they used to killed them several decades ago?? Also if you've place luggage, handbags or gym bags on the floor in a public place, this is another way of having them enter your home. I leave all my bags in the garage off the floor and make sure they do not go any further. Same thing with the sheets that I use at my incall locations. They are washed in a santized cycle in a front loading washing machine for a long time along with bleach. I also make sure they are packed in a plastic bag when I leave the incall and are immediately put in the wash when I go home. Nothing touches the floor. Also if you let your pets outside, bedbugs can get in your bed or between the cushions of your sofa if you allow your dog or cat to jump up on either sofa or bed. -
He just wanted to talk
Nicolette Vaughn replied to whiteman's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Yes, I've experienced this before. Most of the guys I've had lengthy conversations with were over 30, married who often spoke about their marriages. I didn't mind because I've been told I'm a good listener. Now I don't experience this much anymore. Less conversation, a lot more action. -

Pm Cowboy Kenny here. He always finds the frauds, fakes and bait and switch and posts them on his blog. Opps. I just noticed you're from the west coast. There is not much else you can do but usually these type of people don't last long anyways. Guys figure these women out pretty quickly. Aside from being upset, think of it like this... if another escort is using your content or tag lines, just remember that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Challenging the Myths About Clients
Nicolette Vaughn replied to a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I've seen clients from all walks of life from the educated, blue collar, students, guys who are virgins and the list goes on. I wouldn't classify any one of these men into one group as losers, lowlifes or pathetic. HOWEVER, while 90% of guys I've seen have been nice and respectable and would never consider lowlifes, the other 10% are left to be desired and could be considered pathetic or losers because of their negative behaviour or actions towards sex workers and this is justified by many SPs. One more thing to add....Much like there are myths with clients, there are many more myths about sex workers that definitely need to be challenged. I have witnessed hobbyists on other boards putting down women in the trade by stereotyping them and acting as an armchair psychologist. If *they* are putting down women in this business, then they have to think that they are fueling business for these women so it goes both ways. How can anyone who participates in this industry as a hobbyist or escort and consider the other party a loser or pathetic? A lot of people can be hypocritical and judgemental and look down on others but as a wise old friend once told me, if you pay for it or receive pay for it, you're now part of the club.
