As a few threads over the last few weeks have clearly illustrated, debate or discussion can and often does bring emotions to the surface. I concur that with the written word nuance, subtlety and even humour can be easily lost or misunderstood. But I'm not sure there's anything that can change that except not participating in a thread or for folks to be more chill. Should I care if someone I've never met and will never ever meet "disrespects" (a popular word these days) me?....I don't. Seems simple...be kind to each other and don't take shit so seriously...:) Peace MG

I have spent the last 20 years in the environmental field, one of the reasons for my handle. I do walk the walk, own but one vehicle, live in a 865 sq ft house, grow enough food for about 5-6 months of consumption. Do all the R's....reduce, reuse, recycle, rethink. I am a pragmatic environmentalist and some the stuff makes no sense environmentally. The economy and political expediency drives most enviro regualtions. When the last time any one heard the word Kyoto. Not long ago green was the new black, current polling suggest it's not a top 5 issue unless prompted and maybe not a top 10 issue. I never preached about it and everyones circumstance is different. Do what works for you. Peace MG

I read the threads mostly to see how the youngins look at and think about stuff. Not a lot of local gals participate on here. Have only met two on here that I ended up seeing. If there is some one who interests me then I like to send a pm and how they respond will determine if I have continued interest. Peace MG

Seems to be lots of pent up anger, resentment and frustration boiling to the service within this thread. Might just be the heat or the summer doldrums, might be some are just tired of the game and the games generally. Fun read though. The thing about emails, texts or written word is nuance and in my opinion humour can be lost. With no eye contact there is no immediate reaction and one can't see instantly that they may have offended someone and try to make it right. Or simple agree to disagree. I think the thread started had good intentions but now it has become a train wreck. Like a jury it won't be possible for some to disregard statements made and hard feelings that have resulted no matter how many corrective comments are posted. Too bad, but not really unexpected. I believe that emotion and self esteem are a big part if not the biggest part of this game. It is what it is..and call me anything you want..just don't call me late for dinner :) Peace MG

I find the word respect so overused in today's society. Overpaid athletes saying " It's not about the money...I'm not about the money....it's about respect!! Or how entering another neighborhood can some how be contrused as some one or thing being some how "disrespected". My first reaction these days when I read it or hear it is for my eyes to glaze over. It has become so overblown and overused. Willingness to show consideration or appreciation of another. Not sure if that's respect but it sums it up for me. Peace MG

Grooming and hygeine are given to me and I always let the woman take the lead. I'm very gentle and haven't had an issue with either daty or digits and I've found women will let you know quickly if your being too gentle. Just like kissing, some women prefer softer kissing and some are more agressive. Paying attention to your partner and going slow will go along way toward each having a rewarding experience ;) Peace MG

Well I am an older type. I can honestly say I don't have a huge penis or am particularly handsome......in a certain light (dark) I am fairly palatable. I suppose being older has some advantages (can't think of one off the top of my head). I'm patient and fun and don't have the capabilities to pound away for an hour. I look for smart women as there will be ample time for chatting...lol. I often joke that it will really be sort of like an hour off. Peace MG
