Miss Sara, I think it also depends where the story takes place. Life is very different south of the Mason-Dixon and that could come into play. Verification is key but the entire industry has a different business model down South. I would be more than happy to make you dinner and we can spend an evening discussing it... cat

I believe that in life it's the experiences we have that feed our soul. Authentic interaction is what we crave as humans. We like to feel that those we interact with are there in mind, spirit and body in any given situation. It's why we chose to do business with certain companies over others with the same products. The people we interact with will either allow us to feel connected or we go elsewhere. If I feel I am simply another sale, I will not return; instead I continue to search until I find the place "I belong". I will drive extra miles for services I could receive around the corner when the provider makes me feel truly welcome and appreciated. In retrospect, I can see that it's the authenticity that keeps me coming back to every interaction I chose to participate in. I do not have a persona; my clients meet "me" at the door. I have never made up a "work" character; instead I've tapped parts of me that were not given the opportunity to present on a regular basis. Over the years I have integrated all of myself into my work on some level and I cannot entertain if the experience isn't authentic on both sides. I will turn down an appointment or show a guest to the door if I feel I cannot interact with them in a genuine way or vice versa. Guests with whom I have developed a more encompassing relationship with have often pointed out that there is no change in me whether I'm entertaining them or they are included in an aspect of my private life except my choice of attire. Developing a genuine, professional connection will take time with some providers. Repeat guests give a provider the opportunity to get to know them and feel comfortable letting their guard down. Trust is integral in this process; SPs are not trusting by nature usually. I feel strongly that if a woman has to create a contrasting alter ego in order to do this work, then it will eventually leave a negative impression on her in some way. Life is challenging enough without having to pretend to be somebody else daily for your livelihood. The key is initially finding a provider that presents the qualities that you resonate with and then allowing the time needed for the relationship to develop. cat

How do you feel about bdsm?
cat replied to Malika Fantasy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Darling ottawaadventurer, This is the very best place to be! Knowing what you don't know is far more important than thinking you know it all. I would say you are a "Kinkster" and that leaves your identification fluid to indulge in whatever takes your fancy at the moment. I identify as Mistress in my day to day life but only because there was a need in the community to state my identity so others could put me in a neat little box. In nonsexual situations I am a Dame by nature so I chose the title of Mistress. But I have inclinations that do not fit into any set category and I enjoy both sides of power exchanges depending on my partner at hand. I can be top or bottom, mistress or slave, domme or sub as the experience presents itself. We are multifaceted creatures and there is never a single title that will describe all of our dimensions. As a society, we have decided that people need to fit into molds so everyone can classify and categorize us easily. Well, I'm not alive to be what people think I should be, I am here to simply be me. I refuse to be told that I need to identify and live as only a single trait, I embrace all that I am as that is truly all life requires of me. cat -
How do you feel about bdsm?
cat replied to Malika Fantasy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Fetish play carries a stigma simply because of the lack of awareness. I often meet people who's boundaries have yet to be defined because they lack understanding of the fluid potential of the experience. They don't understand that the power dynamics are not cut and dried. It doesn't have to be painful or scary nor will it ever fit in a neat little box. That's the wondrous thing about sexual experience. It can be customized for each person to the letter, with each experience being tweaked to perfection. Restraints are now considered vanilla as are toys so imo the lines between the worlds are alread blurred. If one looks at the attendance of Sexapalooza here in Ottawa, the first year had the highest attendance for the shows history and continues to grow every year. This tells me that fetish isn't the taboo everyone thinks it is, it's mainstream. People just arent' ready to say it out loud yet. I do not distinguish between my vanilla or fetish worlds. Life is life and my inclinations are my own. I get bruised as often from vanilla play as I do when there is "fetish" involved so if someone has an issue with marks, all I can do is apologize for my genetics. I truly delight in opening up new experiences for my guests and many have walked paths they had never considered after I whispered in their ear the adventures they could have. The golden key is keeping an open mind to the very real fact that life isn't simple, clean or clear. It's delightfully complicated, messy and challenging; which I'm eternally grateful for. Any judgements issued on anothers interests springs from ignorant unawareness and should not be taken to heart as those are people that will have to learn in their own good time and we can't and shouldn't wait for them to have the "light bulb" moment. Malika, you are an extraordinary young woman with amazing talents that you constantly hone and perfect. I have seen your work and say "Stand proud and apologize to no one for it"... cat -
Perfect first dates... 1. All day long patio or pub crawl ending with a great dinner and evening entertainment. 2. Photo treasure hunt with a random list of weirdly random items. 3. 4 wheeling or snowmobiling with a warm fire and toddys to finish. 4. Fishing - any season with fish, creamy slaw and hush puppies for dinner. 5. Auctions - any kind. Antique, estate, auto, surplus etc. 6. Car detailing - we'll do mine first...then do yours! 7. Outdoor gardening starting with breakfast on the patio and finishing in the hot tub! 8. Kijiji day - going to look at weird and wonderful items that you really don't need or necessarily want because you've never laid eyes on it in real life. examples - polar bear rug, antique dental equipment or antique circus rides. 9. A day on a hobby farm - doing whatever the farmer thinks is fun. 10. A tequilla afternoon sorting my lingerie drawers. I have soooo many more but time is short... cat

New Years & The Hobby
cat replied to Victoria Banks's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I have on occasion worked holidays and it's always been fun for me. I'm not a drinker and I really enjoy welcoming in the New Year in my natural habitat...my playroom! I find the holidays to be long for those that don't have family and friends around; I have found myself there more than once. Sharing it with someone who truly appreciates the company is always such a treat... cat -
For the second time this week, I have nominated a post when attempting to quote it! I have had this issue at times and it is indeed the service providers issue. Damn service providers! cat
-
scribbles, nominated you by accident when trying to quote you...sorry man. I think it needs to be clarified that there is a difference between blacklists and NC/NS lists. They are indeed very distinct and separate. Blacklists are for dangerous experiences only. Here on CERB, providers are cautious about listing on either unless we are sure it needs to be out there imho. I don't know anyone personally who is quick to list unless they have a clearly valid reason... cat

What motivates/inspires you?
cat replied to castle's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
What inspires me? Authenticity in people. Whether it is perceived as good or bad is irrelevant, as long as they are being honest. cat -
First and foremost, go see your doctor for a complete physical. It's exceedingly common at your age to have a drop in testosterone production with directly impacts performance. Hormonal imbalances affect every aspect of our physiology. Once you have eliminated any physical reasons for your particular challenge then you can start addressing it directly. cat

What is your Xmas wish list...
cat replied to Meg O'Ryan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Darling Santa, I have been an extremely good girl this year and here's why I deserve to get my secret gift wish. 1. I haven't beaten anyone that didn't deserve it. 2. I haven't abused a single Honda this year. 3. I rescued a dog. (Yes,he's still alive!) 4. I quit smoking. 5. I didn't write a tell all book. 6. I stopped throwing water balloons off my balcony at drunk teenagers. 7. I stopped most of my OCD house cleaning behaviors. 8. I haven't left anyone tied to my bed longer than the agreed upon time limit. 9. I stopped messing with delivery men by wearing nothing to the door. 10. I no longer terrorize unsuspecting men in bars by leaving with their dates after they have paid for the drinks all evening. My secret wish: I want my Volvo to be finished. Yes, she is still being refurbished. I want her to have Ontario plates, registered and insured in my name. That way, I always have somewhere to live! cat -
Surgery and hard work? Last time I checked there are penile implants and the procedure is far less invasive than breast implants. When it comes to hard work, I'm 5'2, no amount of hard work or dieting is going to give me the long, slender legs or bodacious booty that is depicited in 99% of the "best of" threads. Then there are the "natural vs. implants" thread that tells me the all natural is all mighty. But in reality it's only better if they are young, perky and firm. What about when the volumn disappears and the hang turns to swing? Still better than implants? This thread was started with a tongue in cheek (I think) and I understand why. I understand the fantasy vs. reality aspect and certainly respect mens need to be boys at times. I also believe it's important to remember that when taking things too seriously, life gets monotonous. I think anyone who took this topic seriously should take a bag full of gummy worms; go sit and watch something disgustingly silly and belly laugh for a bit. cat

Every provider has her own rules which she has defined for herself. If a woman is comfortable with a SSOG, that is her perogative. Back in the day, SSOG was industry standard. A second SOG involved more $ because it involved more work. Today, many things have changed. Services available for new clients are now more varied and expected. I remember when Greek, DFK and DATY were only available to good regulars, now it's expected on the first visit. Women recognize the value of client based service and many tailor their services to ensure their clients complete satisfaction on the first visit. We are independent business women. We choose who we see, what we do with our clients, how much we charge and when we want to work. There are no two alike so perhaps it's best to simply state our personal preferences and not issue opinions on others preferred business models. cat

If you contact a lady and don't get a response, do you try other methods of communication to connect with her? The reason I ask is today I was alerted that I missed responding to a PM and I hate to leave a guest waiting for a reply. If I do not want to see someone I still send a "No Thankyou"; no reply isn't acceptable to me. It got me to wondering what the gentlemen out there do when they initiate contact and don't hear anything back? cat P.S. I wanted to make this a poll but couldn't figure it out...

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts! It's a little confusing as I don't get the whole "rep points" thing, but I am honored to be included on this list of people who add so much to CERB. It's truly an honor... cat p.s. For the nay saying lurkers from the other boards on here who think this kind of thing is drivel, my above post isn't ass kissing; it's actually how I feel!!! kisses, c

I'm wondering if there is a hobbyist here in Ottawa that owns a print shop? If so PM me please... cat
-
I'm don't agree, there are numerous reasons why recos aren't made on CERB. The reason why I shun recommendations is because of the impact it has had on my personal life. If you want to find out if a provider may not provide 100% service all the time, go check the review boards. If you can't find anything negative there either than it may be a personal choice of the provider. Even completely positive reviews can have a negative impact on ones personal life... cat

You're never too old for...
cat replied to castle's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
This is such a great topic! I don't ever want to grow up. I will never be too old for... Go Karts (anything with wheels actually) Jungle Gyms Playing dressup Skinny dipping Chocolate pudding eaten with a banana as a spoon Walking barefoot in the mud Bubble baths with bath toys (cups, funnels, sponges etc) Midnight fridge raids for leftover birthday cake and milk Hiding under the covers Building forts (outside with branches or inside with blankets) Being saucy Sliding on fresh waxed floors in socks Werthers Orginals Cowboy boots and Trampolines! cat -
The problem with your question is that it does not have a single answer. Every hobbyist has different requirements which can be as fluid as the wind. With a morning breeze, it is a simple itch that needs scratching so a 30 minute special is the order of the day. An afternoon whisper in the leaves may bring visions of slippery fun on his lunch hour. When the wind turns cold he may find himself craving companionship enveloping an extended foray into sensual seduction. His price ceilings are unique to him and only him. The key is to determine where a provider places her focus on value. There are many providers who provide 30 minute sessions with the same attention to detail as they give for the hour. Another provider charging the same amount perhaps doesn't have the same focus on delivering value regardless of how long you are staying. As every hobbyist is unique, so is every SP and the service she provides unique. The key is understanding that unique in this industry isn't synonymous with quality, it means existing as the only one or as the sole example; we are all individuals. There are elite providers that carry their pricing based on their looks alone and they cater to the visually stimulated and egoically driven. Then are elite providers that take the time to make it an experience to remember for the both of you. They are intelligent, charming AND beautiful. It all depends on what you are looking for. There are extraordinary providers in every price range, you simply need to explore and find the one that "fits" you best... cat

I wasn't referring to CERB, I meant to check online in your area. There are plenty of other boards with LOADS of warnings and negative feedback. CERB is the exception not the rule. I do not have DNR and there is nothing negative out there about me even tho I have been working in Canada for over 6 years. You have to do your homework and that requires a little effort and time in the research department. cat
