One trick that I sometimes use while waiting for a specific lady is to buy a glass of wine or a cheap drink and let it sit beside you. Most get the hint that you are waiting for someone to return. -Alg

Have to agree with many here. I live in the deep (ottawa) south and getting out after I get home from work is difficult. I do love afternoon sorties though and closer to downtown the better! Alg

From an inside source, it seems that the lovely, and desirable Maude, had a serious happening at Barbs and so may not be back there for a long time, if ever. Really bad, she is a great lady and will be much missed.

I was at Barb's too yesterday. Spent a long lunch hour and then went back after work. Place was really hopping, good news for the girls as some were complaining about how slow it was earlier in the week. Finally got a dance from the much praised (and rightly so) Cherry! -Alg

Visited Barb's on Sat. It is up and running, although much of the decor has been covered or stripped in the main room and the light fixture above the stage (looks like four colored chiclets) is gone. Not that I would have noticed otherwise! Jenny said from what she heard, that someone broke the front door and tossed in some gasoline and a flame, but the sprinklers got it. Looks like the damage is pretty minimal. Apparently the poor janitor almost got arrested for obstruction of justice as he started to clean things up before the police arrived.

Well in celebration of her reopening, I will be there Friday for lunch!
