Thanks to all for your replies. The information you all shared has been very helpful. I do prefer to have only one phone rather than a second hidden burner phone. I will be retired which makes it difficult to explain a second phone if it is found. I think I am better off with getting a cheap phone with a talk and text plan. I will look into providers that offer that. I will also have to figure out what to tell my SO why I did not join her plan. Thanks again

Hello Fellow Cerbites My circumstances have changed and I now have to find a new means of communicating with my lady friends without the possibility of my SO having access to numbers that I call or text. I am in the market for a cell phone. All that I will really need the phone for is calling or texting. I don't really need any kind of data plan that allows me to browse the internet. My SO has suggested we add a phone to her existing plan which I don't want to do unless there is a way to hide incriminating information or she does not have access to. Ideally having my own phone and plan would be preferable but she may ask why I would not want to share a plan. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

This is my 2nd recommendation of Jade and there is good reasons for that. She is amazing. I know, I know... It has been a while since I posted on here whether a recommendation or even responded to a thread. A thousand apologies and I will try and be more active. My understanding is that gas mileage is better in a manual as opposed to automatic. The downfall is that there could be excessive wear and tear on a transmission if not driven properly. A manual is harder for some people to learn and I have heard of stories where people parking a manual transmission vehicle forgot to engage the parking break and caused accidents. This is not as much of an issue in automatic. My preference, if I have a sporty vehicle, I will want a manual. Otherwise automatic. Peachy's 4th question: (lease or buy) There are tax laws that make it beneficial to either lease or buy out right. The calculation is different. Whether a business vehicle or personal vehicle: If you buy, you can expect a larger capital pay out in the beginning of ownership. You will own the vehicle and recover some of the cost when you sell it. By leasing your payments would be less than if you took out a loan but once the lease is up, there is nothing left for you. Leases do have restrictions such as the number of Kms per year and there may be an additional cost should you exceed. I have leased a few times. What I liked at that time, was that every couple of years, I am driving a newer and reliable vehicle. Very few repair bills as the warrantee usually covered the length of the lease. There is a variety of stuff to do in Costa Rica. Snorkelling, surfing, zip lining, rain forest. It is very hot and dry in some areas but you can be within an hour of the rainforest with amazing scenery of volcanoes. I think there are some great last minute deals wherever you go that will save you lots. Costa Rica has very little crime. Wherever you end up...have a wonderful vacation.

Hey folks. I just read Peachy's blog about recommendations and I was going to email her to give her my thoughts on what she wrote. I decided why not share my thoughts with my fellow cerbies as her blog gives a good insight to what this woman is about. In her blog, she admits she does not click with all her clients, that she does not consider herself the best provider and she does not compare herself to other providers. This is only because I do not want to be considered a shill.
