Pardner welcome to cerb, sorry but as mod put it you got scammed. How can you avoid beign scammed you ask ? Visit my diary daily and you'll have a pretty good chance of avoiding future scams. It comes from the states where both parties provider and client are so paranoid that trust is totally eliminated. Providers don't even have to actually "provide" and still end up making some good coin. Final tip, think with the big head...

From years of working in bars and strip clubs when I was a younger cowboy I can tell you that liquor inspectors can be total dicks. However in this case the Fax fucked up. The fact that their main defense was that the manager on duty was trained in Quebec is a weak defense, he's now working in Ontario he has to follow the rules for Ontario. I worked the bars long before "smart serve" our policy then was to ensure the customer left the establishment safely, which usually meant calling or hailing a cab and making sure they did not drive their vehicle, no matter what they had to leave the premises, especially if they were nodding off. We did not subscribe to the "have a coffee" theory, then all we'd have is a wired, wide a wake drunk on our hands which is much worse. I agree with the other poster they are lucky to have only received a 5 day suspension at a time of their choosing. Phil's comment about the girls needing a drink to perform was totally out of line and only goes to personify stereotypes of that industry. Having worked with Phil in the past I can say that he's known for speaking before thinking. Some things never change.

While yes it is all about first impressions, you have to appreciate the volume of calls these providers deal with, then factor in the trouble makers and tire kickers and time wasters and it would wear on your patience as well. Unlike a call centre rep who's job it is to answer calls and inquiries it's not like these providers are just sitting their waiting for calls, tmany are out and about living their lives, shopping, working out, studying, working elsewhere, taking care of their children, dropping them off at school etc, they are very busy. It's even more frustrating for those providers who go to the trouble of setting up detailed ads or websites only to have callers ask the very questions that are addressed on the website or ad. A good rule of thumb that I practice both personaly and professionaly, don't answer the phone if you are not prepared to give your full attention. If I am focused on a task or project at work I don't answer my phone until that issue has been resolved, if it's important they will leave a message or call back. If I'm home watching a favorite TV show or movie, or engaged in coversation with company, again I don't answer the call until I'm ready. The same rule could apply to providers if you are out busy and doing your thing and don't have time to give to the caller, let them leave a message and call them back when you are better prepaired to present yourself with your best foot forward!

Mod, first off I think I speak for many for the hard work and effort you have put into the chat system. It is however still young, it's in it infancy and will continue to evolve it is an organic being of it's own, popular at first because it was shiny and new, then the novelty wore off for some and the excitement subsided. It did become a bit of a "wank bank" (great one cumquat) and that was frustrating for those of us that were interested in plain 'ol conversation. I've dropped in from time to time to say hi, sometimes it's fun sometimes it's boring, sometimes it's empty. I think it will continue to have it's peaks and valleys and as new members join in the community will continue to evolve. I think the lurking issue is bothersome because often comments are shared in general conversation with the room but there's often a lurker just sitting there not participating. We all know there are lurkers in the discussion board area, but we don't see them, out of sight out of mind. But when you can clearly see that someone has been "lurking" and reading all the info for the last few minutes it's frustrating. I think the 5 minute timer is an excellent solution, great idea. Cap i heard you got banned from chat for chating with our your pants on, the complaint came from your family :) Just kidding... I kid ya cause I love ya!

My condolences Emma, having recently lost a close family friend, I can understand the feelings and emotions you are experiencing. It's tough but support from friends always makes these situations much easier to deal with. You are surrounded by friends here at CERB, thank you for sharing that wonderful and inspiring passage here's to everyone on making that little dash mean so much. Take Care.

Your best bet would be to contact an agency directly to address your questions. Most of the indies who do outcall already have a driver/security already and would not just take on anyone. You may want to re-evaluate your priorities though, Friday and Saturday nights can be quite busy for indies and agencies. Do you have your own recent model reliable car, are you able to provide "security" if needed. Do you have a good working knowledge of the city, especially suburbs ? All important factors to weigh in as you consider this form of employment.

Pay it forward I'm often told I should charge for the service I provide, tracking bait and switch photos and for maintaining the numbers to avoid list. Many have told me of the countless times the diary has saved them from grief and more importantly, wasting money. That got me to thinking about how we could make the diary benefit more than just hobbiests and honest providers, but how could my simple diary benefit the greater community. I could never charge for the service, after all I'm a giver not a taker. In the past all I've really asked for is your thanks. So I put this challenge to the regular and frequent visitors who appreciate the efforts of the diary. Take the money that you've saved or would have otherwise wasted on a agency or indy with phoney pics or a "date verification" scam and donate it to charity of choice. Many who choose to participate in this hobby do so as a matter of choice and are in fortunate place in life to do so. No matter how you afford to participate, it's your money it's well earned and you deserve the diversion you seek. Many people in our city don't have those choices available, they must choose between a warm meal or a roof over their heads, others are faced with ilnesses that present life challenges with vary few options available to them with out impacting their lives o those afflicted of their families. So if you've ever been helped by out by the diary, or the cowboy has come to your aid, consider making a donation of value to the charity of your choice. Big or small, the amount is not important, but the consideration and the thought are. There are many deserving charities choose one close to your heart to make the donation more worthwhile. fi the sender is using hotmail or even yahoo and sending to your G-mail account you can use the properties tab the same as you would with hotmail to see the header info. Surprisingly enough integrating gmail with windows live is fairly painless. If however you are trying to track an ip address from a gmail originated message you are in fact out of luck.

Boner I should make you my marketing manager! I've had a few emails about this place none of them favorable. I decided to scope things out and gave "Dave" a call from the call I discovered that Dave is in fact Marty, like that's a shocker. His speaking style was exactly the same as Marty's witting style, and that's not saying much. The same erratic all over the place randomness and jumping from though to thought. It was apparent that he was on something. He made no sense describing the girls, he would ask a question and then not allow time to answer until he jumped in again with another, it was freaky. He was very vague about the descriptions of the girls, would not be specific about restrictions, or more importantly ages. He just kept going on "oh yeah they're hot, hot and wet buddy...what's your address. You seem like a good guy I'm going to give you another 40 dollars off, cause your going to want to come back, yeah she's wet and waiting..." what a joke. They seem to have faded away for now, but will likely be back with a different phone number and location, but no matter where they relocate definitely a place to avoid .
