I don't understand why anyone puts a full face shot on here? You can never remove it from the internet, and you may regret it for the rest of your life when you retire as a SP (Think children and spouse). No picture = deniability ("you must be confusing me with someone else")Of course I love the photos and it influences my decision. But I rely on reviews more. What many SPs on this Board forget is that there is another Board in Ottawa. Many of us cross-reference. I come here for photos and get a sense of personality but go to the other Board for more "trustworthy " reviews. Bad reviews on the other Board will affect your business, more than good ones on this Board. If your reviews are poor on the other board, get some of your reliable supporters to post an "honest'(not sugar-coated) review on the other Board.

Offer 1 time discounts for new clients. It will let someone take a chance with you, and it allows you to expand your client base. Peachy/Val did this. One time with her, and I became a regular at her regular rates . Also try the coffee card approach. One free with every 10 paid (or a variation) These will increase your business.

Stuff happens. We have to cancel some time, sometimes on short notice (i.e. the wife/girlfriend calls while on way, kid needs ride from school, boss calls for a meeting) I think it is a cost of doing business. I would be turned off if I was asked for a cancellation fee at the next session. I'd probably just see someone else new. There was a recent conversation about an MPA(retired) who did this to longterm clients and they all stopped going. If I cancel once and show up another 4 times in a year , you are further ahead than if you lose my business because i don't like your policy. Additional Comments: I agree it is in poor taste and can sour a session. I didn't see her comment as being negative towards anyone else

That was my point. Thank you! I was being trashed in a manner that was inconsistent with what people thought I intended. I wasn't trying to insult anyone. I too have given gifts/tips but only if have excellent rapport with my have MPAs.

Don't shoot the messenger. I wasn't trying to say that it is true for all MPAs or SPs but it happens more often than you would like to think...but its a fantasy right?
