    I have also heard it referred to as the Crusty Loonie! I remember it being a country bar in the late 70's early 80's before it was a SC. I think it was called The Corral or something like that.

    Just wanted to add my kudos as well. Great job by Bethany (supreme Hostess) & OD to organize. Hope OD is feeling better by now. It was great to meet the other members\hobbyists. Great to see Malika again and to meet Bethany, Lee and Astrid as well. Lee's CB humor kept the party going!

    IMO The Fax has the best SC food & lunch in the area & it is included with a beverage. Barbs lunch is ok but not as good as the Fax & I believe they charge $2 for it.

    Except it was shown in the evening on ABC via tape delay so very few Americans got to see it live. The US-USSR game was shown live in Canada on CTV.

    These days (as oppopsed to 20-30 years ago) young people are drinking hard liqour straight up (as opposed to mix with it) much more. I think another problem is that since alcohol is legal, people tend to think that it may not be as harmfull as it is. Everything in moderation.
