There are too many for me to list.. My folks were just visiting and tonight we planted a bunch of new perennials in my front yard... well when I say we.. they did it for my bday. My parents found out what I was doing (not by me) about 2-3 years into it.. my brothers as well. My mom really dislikes what I do but loves me never-the-less.. my dad has a better handle on it than my mom and ''talks her down'' when she over-reacts. I have discovered that rather than being concerned about my safety she starts in on me whenever she has had to talk to some friends about her kids.. and is stuck for conversation on the one-upmanship that occurs when parents talk about their kids successes. I've told her that she can say whatever she wants.. and that she can say I'm in healthcare still (sort of am wouldn't you say?) or tell the truth. With one of my aunts who she told.. the response was. Yup a lot of girls put themselves through med school doing that. I laughed.. I know she was expecting exclamations of sympathy. I love my mom and if I were one..
