Everyone has buyer's regret. 1. I regret buying a car at 13.5% interest for 4 years. It was a cool car though :-) 1988 toyota celica gts. One of my married girlfriends said I shouldn't have a car so sexy. She was hot for me - so was her sister. I coulda' had 'em both. I'm sooo stuupid. Couple of co-workers wanted me too. Fuck I'm sooo stuuupid! 2. I regret having a credit card balance at 18% interest. Fuck. Fixed that though. 3. I regret having my 1st mortgage at 8.5% interest for 5 fucking years. Fuck. 4. I bought a early edition digital gold watch in Calgary. Lost it on a hayride in Carp Ont.. Fuck. 5. Bought a dog in the early years. Lovely boy. Still with me by-gosh & still love his dirty little soul. Please don't kill me. Cost me a fucking fortune in vet bills over the years. He's a prick & I like him cuz he's just like me.

I read my post & thought "hey, this could be totally taken in the wrong way...". So, just to clarify - I'm not a celebrity. I meant it in the best possible way. Ya, you're right...a$$holes aren't hard to find. I was just pondering if there was a special type of personality prone to the celebrity lifestyle.
-
Gotta admit, I don't know why I like Malkovich the way I do. He's a bald, non descript, bland, sleeper celeb. You chose your avatar wisely. Takes a selfless individual to step up to the plate to save a life. He showed true appreciation of real. By the same token, take a look at the most embarrassing interview with Jian ghomeshi interview with Mr. Billy Bob @$$shole Thornton.

Just quick thoughts here. Take it where you will. Do you have to be a major @$$hole to make it in the celebrity world? Celebrity is a cut throat business and people have to protect their own brand. I've seen incredible rants, breakdowns, breakups, fights, ego fests...and other unique behaviour. I was visiting a discussion site about John Fogerty (CCR Lead Guitar & Singer). Mixed results. Overall, he got points for being the icon he is despite the bad taste he leaves on a personal level. The wisest opinion I took away was here: I think Fogerty is a true American musical icon as a writer and performer. To paraphrase Skully's observation, most of his hits sound as though they existed forever, that you knew them before you ever heard them. That Voice. He's also a very accomplished player within his genres, and frankly, given his skill and guitar collection, I'd be changing guitars frequently if I had the talent and the access. After all, the right tool for the job. Personality-wise, one doesn't ascend the heights of showbiz without channeling one's inner @$$hole (or having a designated @$$hole to do your dirty work for you). Nature of the biz. What some see as ambition others see as character defect. Comes with the turf, especially when you've got real, unique skills. I think this is true of other celebs - Johnny Carson was a MAJOR crude @$$HOLE...nobody really liked the powerful little prick. What do you think? Do you think you have to be a psychopath or have a major personality defect to make it big?

Does your pet drive you nuts?
Jabba replied to Jabba's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Thanks Amelia. I appreciate your kind concern & you are a good person to bring this up in the spirit of Cerb friendship. You should understand that Cristy & I are good friends and I can assure everyone here that there was no ill intent on her part in her response. Cristy is a passionate advocate for those who are the most vulnerable in our society - those who can't speak out against abuse...our animal companions. She was a little concerned she came off as sounding off-key, so she & I exchanged friendly words about this post. We are on the same page & there's no problem. I just want to set the record straight in case there were any misunderstandings. The mighty Jabba thanks you Amelia :icon_biggrin: -
For some reason, I had a nice, round number in mind - 9. All female. Think of the conversations we could have! Grins.

Ok, you convinced me. This morning, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna shave my nuts. Umm - what's the best method? Anyone have any advice? Razor or plucker or ??

The answer to this question is obviously up to the participant(s). But I'm curious anyway.... In your wildest fantasies, how many partners would you like to (or feel capable) share your joy during playtime? Myself, I was alone with 3 (count-'em) T. H. R. E. E. gorgeous women...oh man, I was in guy heaven. I hoped they enjoyed themselves too. I don't want to sound ungrateful - but gimme more....:prout: What is your max?

My kid got screwed out of a flight last night out of Vancouver to Ottawa. It appears the aircraft originated from Toronto, so no flights could take off from Pearson. Air Canada had to cough up hotel rooms for all the passengers. Ouchawawa! In answer to your question about global warming Cristy...I'm gonna think out loud here and just simply say I believe weather patterns are changing. As to why they are changing, that's a difficult question. We are still technically in an Ice-age, but the ice is melting. Are climate changes due to CO2 & heat reflection in the atmosphere, or just the natural course of glacial recession?...dunno. Nobody was around to record the end stages of the last Ice-age, so there's no empirical evidence available for comparison to our current situation. My $0.05.

Had a momentary lapse of judgment. I seem to have a lot of them these days... I was eating pizza for supper last night. I was eating pizza while surfing. I was eating pizza with one hand and mousing with the other. As I was munch-munching away on my pizza, small bits of crust flew off yummy pizza and lodged under my keyboard keys. Now, whenever I hit the [Ctrl] or [shift] keys, I'm reminded I shouldn't eat pizza while surfing. I hear a distinct "Crunch" every time I hit those particular keys. I have to press harder so the keys engage. I tried to blow out the crap, but the crunchy crap remains as an embarrassing artifact of my stupidity. Stupid stupid stupid. I don't feel nearly as bad as a former co-worker did when he spilt his coffee over his brand-new laptop. He literally saturated the thing & then had to go explain to the boss why he was an idiot. He was a new-hire too. I didn't really like the guy anyway, so I didn't feel too sorry for him. Anyone have any inventive ways they screwed-up their device?

I didn't go, but I live in the area. I would have thought driving the roads would have been crazy - seemed pretty quiet to me....go figure :confused0024:

I'm afraid if I shaved my head, my balls would grow bigger (don't ask me why). If the pills grew bigger, they would droop out of my shorts. I'd either have to dye or shave my nut sack just to look well groomed...it's a vicious cycle dudes! BTW - what kind of wax would you use to polish the boys?
-
Ok guys...this is just for us boys. Being of a certain age, I experiment with keeping my mojo. Ok, I admit it. I did the typical midlife crisis thing. Bought a motorbike, went to the gym, dropped some weight...but most importantly - I dyed my hair back to its original dark shade. Hey, I just wanted to look my best. Didn't work the way I hoped. My SO laughed at me. My kid hid in shame. Friends asked me what I do to hide my roots. I think as one ages, the skin tone & colour changes. If you colour the hair, the aged skin tone & new hair just looks unnatural. I've seen it on other guys, and it looks so obviously stupid. One middle age, mid-life crisis guy can spot another middle age, mid-life crisis guy from a mile away. Do you think guys should try to continue to push back the cruel hand of time or just suck it up and just keep it au naturale. I still got hair, but the forehead seems to have gotten bigger. Anyone got any suggestions? Signed, Dye-job

Comm technology just underscores Marshall McLuhan's thesis statement: "The medium is the message". When we buy-into the various & ever-evolving devices, are we diminishing our ability to transmit information in a humanistic way or are we simply struggling to find ways to plug ourselves into the global village?

My problem is that lately I wake up about 3-3:30. No rhyme or reason. Just, "boink"...ok, I'm awake. Lie in bed all ya like buster, there's no getting back to sleep WTF!. Very frustrating. Tried taking 10mg of Melatonin last night. Worked to keep me asleep until 5am. Better.

There are some pretty cool xxx vids out there. Different sounds, techniques & scenarios. Gotta admit, I've been curious to try it out. One thing that's got me stumped - a lot of the vids show guys with a hard-on & having no difficulty accepting the "stake". I've even seen vids where the guy busts a nut with the rod inserted. I would think that would cause a lot of back-pressure & discomfort. The link in this thread suggests the patient should be flaccid. Without a doubt, the instrument should be cleaner than clean & proper sterilization techniques/protocols observed otherwise you risk a UTI. What are your thoughts?

I live for inconsistencies. How does Superman scape the face in the morning? How does Supergirl shave the legs & do a bikini line? How does Superman blow a load without shooting partner into outer space? How does Supergirl explode a large "O" without flattening partner's Johnson into the next dimension? Does Superman have to clip his toenails - how does he do it? What happens when Supergirl has a little gas? What happens when Superman gets a little impatient in traffic? Does Supergirl ever go "Commando" or is she more reserved? Can Superman have a Super Erection? Can Supergirl have a Super soaker?

Beginner seeks advice and wisdom
Jabba replied to Ramokb55's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
I agree with Mod and other posters in the spirit that education and information are your best allies. Familiarize yourself with the discussions on this board. A lot of subjects have been covered over the years and during that time, opinions have evolved. You have some interesting reading ahead. Enjoy. I for one, won't get upset with anyone if they ask earnest questions. You gotta start somewhere, right? I like to think we can ask questions here without getting flamed. Ask & many here will render an honest & frank opinion. Opinions may not be 100% right or happy, but hey, we're all human, yes? Play safe. Respect yourself. Respect others. -
Thanks folks for all the comments. Just wanted to give you closure as to what I did to fix the problem.... I did absolutely nothing (beyond reloading Adobe Flash Player). About a week or so after my post, my problem disappeared. YouTube now plays with absolutely no problems. I did notice that a big, frigging banner disappeared from the site. Tech problems like this end up as a minor intellectual exercise. It just irks me somehow when they just mysteriously correct themselves. I like to think the fault was randomly caused by a CME. I should have remembered to wear my Aluminum foil hat to protect me from Cosmic Rays. On a side note, I actually worked with a Db developer who once explained to a client that a glitch in the application was due to Sun Spots (the guy was borderline nuts). Go figure....:confused0024: Anyways, thanks guys. I wish I could rationally explain the cure, but it's good to know y'all were there to lend a helping hand.

Besides being a passionate critter care person, she has some great pics! Every time she posts new pics, I have to buy a new F#%*ing pair of pants - I call her the zipper-ripper. :dncdick: Here's to you Cristy & please come to Ottawa so I can destroy another pair of pants (in person).

Poll - Why did the chicken cross the road ?
Jabba replied to LeeRichards's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
So, is the chicken living in the UK or North America? Makes a difference as to which side to approach a crossing. Since the Brits drive on the wrong side of the road (crazy bastards), then conceivably, from our point of view, the chicken will have already arrived at the opposite side. I hope that somehow made sense. -
Poll - Why did the chicken cross the road ?
Jabba replied to LeeRichards's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I prefer to be known henceforth as: Jabba the Irritator You do however make compelling reasons as to why a chicken would want to make such a hazardous journey...the legs and breasts thing had me by the fruit (if there is such a thing on a slug). ..Umm, did I derail again? -
Poll - Why did the chicken cross the road ?
Jabba replied to LeeRichards's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
One has to first ask themselves some relevant questions: 1. Was it a paved road? 2. Was it really a road or perhaps merely a gravel path? 3. If was merely a gravel path, then it wasn't a road at all now was it??! 4. Now that we've established that it was just a gravel path and not a bloody road, what was the point of this pol...oh, never mind. Sorry. I know the OP didn't want this to turn into an argument. My bad.:icon_biggrin: -
Thanks for the thoughts. Weird thing is, this just started happening. If my O/S wasn't up to the task of playing HD, I'm thinking this problem would have shown up long before now. I get lots of Jitter when I start a video. My buffer may just be getting clobbered. Maybe I run out of memory; the system just gives up and dies. I heard somewhere on the net (& of course I always believe everything I read on the net:icon_wink:) that an Ad banner was somehow causing Firefox to crash & burn. But this is more than just Firefox getting fried, this is O/S related I think.
