The article got a little vague after that statement & didn't go into any supporting detail. Weird. It was like reading a People magazine article. Dumbed-down and just able to keep your attention long enough for the average time it take to have a crap. Maybe the reason the Johns have a criminal history is 'cuz they were nicked for soliciting the services of a prostitute? On the up-side, it did get me to ponder about the usefulness of John School (clarification: not that I've ever been to one).

My sister in-law took in an abused dog. Large female mix. When they 1st got her, she was very afraid of men. She would discretely sneak out of the room whenever a male was in general vicinity. I was aware of her background and fears before a visit, so the best thing was to let the pooch approach me on her own terms. The happy story is she has adjusted now to her loving home & is more trusting of men. Still has her quirks. She won't leave me alone whenever I visit. She insists I stick my finger in her ear. Man, she just groans and drools whenever I do ...then, she tries to crawl in my lap - she's huge. Weighs at least 70lbs. As soon as I de-poke her ear, she grabs my hand with her paw and plants her head firmly on my crotch (if I'm sitting down). Wonderful puppy. I ask her nicely if it's ok if I use my hands for something else (like holding my drink) & she lies on my feet.

I definitely understand about addictions. I recall seeing a documentary on Travis a few years ago. There was a picture of him in his early years on a construction site - picking up some debris. A picture of a young man who was without hope and troubled - Angry and in pain. I saw the look in his eyes and in his face. I would not want to tangle with the guy. The individual I saw in the picture was headed for real trouble.

Thanks for reminding me of another thing that my friendly furry curmudgeon likes to do to....he barges his way into my bathroom just cuz he can. There's no true privacy in my own castle it seems. Who is the true king?

My 15yr old dog thinks he's a serious wolf. He likes to get up on the sofa to have a snooze, but at his age, his back legs fail him. He doesn't like help being lifted up on the couch or on the bed..Whenever I offer to help, he gives me a growl: "I don't need any help you stoopid icehole! - Just give me a little boost you ugly prick..,grrrrrrroowwlll". He likes to sleep in until about 12pm with his head firmly buried under my bed. He doesn't like his food the same way. He only eats one meal a day now...unless it involves chicken. The older my little guy gets, the more character he develops. He likes to take himself for walks in the mornings...all over the fucking house. I've got a fair amount of hard floor surfaces upstairs & on the main level...click click clickitty click clack click click. You get the idea. Lately, he's taken to pissing on the floor when it suits him. Is this what's in store for all of us when we get to a certain age? Got elderly pets?...what's your experience?

I kind of look at the lady's pleasure as a proxy for my own. The reality for me is, the older I get, the less capable I am at achieving multiple Os. Prudent approach IMO. No sooner did she offer her apology on this forum, did I see her advertising on BP with the same old deceptive photos. Sincerity didn't appear to be a priority. I've seen the lady so I know how different her pics were vs reality.

Saw a news item on MSN about some celebrity planning on eating her placenta after she gives birth. Now, I gotta tell you, when I first heard about this practice when I was a youngling in the 80s, I was...I was...for lack of a better expression: amazed and outraged at the concept (and that's putting it mildly!). I understand the placenta contains nutrients that are beneficial to the birth mother (of whatever species). Hucking the thing down is supposed help in birth recovery. Horses, cattle, sheep, goats - they all got a thing on for the placenta. Label me as you will. Even after some 30 years later, I'm still left struggling with how to understand why anyone human could, or willingly would y'know...gag it down! You will have to pardon my total lack of understanding. Know any good recipes? I'm struggling with this. Ouch.

Ya - I agree with the folks who advise caution! Don't go frigging around with herbs & medication without knowing your own chemistry. Just because an herb or over the counter thing is available, are you going to swallow it 'cuz someone says it's good for you? I'm tempted even as I read this, but somehow, I have a lick of common sense. Don't follow someone's advice without some proof and acceptance from a source who has some study stats. Your Doc can help you figure it out. Talk out your beliefs & what you've read to your practitioner if you have trust. Don't go exploring in the dark guys.
