I have a love/hate relationship with Clowns. I distinctly remember my dad taking me to a traveling carnival in the early 60s ... small town southern Ontario. Just about as seedy as you can get!! girly shows, freak shows, game hawkers, lurid billboards for rides, gambling, cotton candy, giant hot dogs The big tent with elephants, trapeze artists, horses.... and of course, the f**king clowns! Imagine the steam organ grinding out the ever popular clown theme. The face paint, the painted smiles - jeez they were creepy. At the same time, they put on a good show just as insane as some stuff in "I love Lucy". What is it about these crazy bastards that creep kids out huh?? Sort of like Santa Clause. I say we should do away with 'em and move on. Why do we keep these images around. Am I wrong? - do a google of John Wayne Gacie

Bear with me faithful readers, for I have one more request to fulfill your path to enlightenment. With respect to Mod and this forum, I will not publicly post the solution to my little secret. So powerful is the knowledge that in the wrong hands, socio-economic congress could be compromised on a scale never before experienced. While some hold that this could be a good thing, you must ask yourselves if you could forfeit your daily needs (food, gas, beer, wine - not necessarily in that order) in exchange for extreme sexual gratification. Yes my friends, to share in this privileged knowledge, you must PM me with a request in proper and respectful English. The request should include some words to the effect that you want to partake and delight in the light, and taste the sweet fruit of everlasting juiciness (please make it a polite request, for I so dislike any unpleasantness). And please, with your indulgence, one more proviso - you must pledge never, ever to reveal (except by action to your delighted partner) the "secret". I agree that Cerb has (and continues to) evolved from its' earlier policies to be more accepting of an honest opinion or two. I haven't memorized the rules, but I still think the underlying SOP is to have respect for others. Therein lies the challenge - you can render your opinion without disrespecting another. That was certainly (and continues to be) my challenge. There are forums out there where you are free to flame another with impunity. Not so here - I was challenged to unlearn the temptations of cyber anonymity and grow-up. I was challenged to take responsibility for my e-pinions. That's why I continue to be a regular visitor.

I'm the one who originally started this reco thread and yet haven't added anything further. I'm such a lazy thing - but you guys have been doing a great job at filling in the gaps! Had a buddy ask if he could camp-out at my place. Yeah, no problem I say - anytime, but wtf - you got your own place. Then he drops the other shoe.
