  1. that's actually a pretty good list ... I just wish there was more description of the regions and the differences in characteristics between them.
  2. As to Lagavulin and especially Laphroaig (given its strength), I really get the sense I can taste the sea air ... its wonderful.
  3. This is by no means an excuse, and I'm very sorry to see that a guy would do this, but you mentioned he was sitting at the bar ... did he look drunk? Again, not an excuse but at least an explanation why someone would do and say something so stupid.
  4. Yeah, something like that (smile). Plus, they're easier to obtain at most bars. I prefer mine, by the way, with a few cubes of ice and a splash of spring water. I know that's blasphemy to some scotch drinkers, but I'm a lightweight. Actually, come to think of it, I dont ever think I got drunk on scotch ... I've gotten drunk on Canadian Whiskey (ggdamn Canadians ... smile) and (embarrassingly during college) Galiano once ... boy that hangover was nasty.
  5. I prefer single malts as well, but there's nothing wrong with an occasional blend as they are very drinkable and good when the occasion doesn't lend itself to savoring every drop. Additional Comments: Yeaaaah! Most excellent choice and a good starter if you want to try single malts. I think its almost genetic whether you like scotch or not ... some people dont like the taste or smell at all.
  6. Just enjoying a baseball game with a brand new bottle of Lagavulin 16 I just opened. I will be savoring this one for a while. My other favorite single malts include Laphroaig (yes, I like Islay malts) Glenlivet and Macallan, and I also enjoy Johnny Walker blends (Black and Winston Churchill's favorite, Red). I'd also love to see if any of our ladies here are scotch drinkers?
  7. Nice job SA! You survived! I haven't seen any of these ladies but I can add that I have had many postive experiences with Tracey and Ottawa Playgirls. Definitely worth checking out next time I'm in town. Also, importantly, their website used to be OttawaPlaygirls.com and 613girls.com, but now only 613girls.com appears to be working.
  8. Sometimes when these ridiculous things come in I have fun filling out the blanks with equally ridiculous information. for instance, most of you don't know this but my real name is Prince Albert of Inacan and I live in the very tiny country of Lower Slobovia. (smile)
  9. and if there are women judges? Smile ... Not sure if that would be a good or bad thing.
  10. Holy Boner, Batman! Make sure to post and tell us you are still alive afterwards.
  11. Me too but he's on right against the local news that my family likes to watch, so I'm always missing the monologues.
  12. That would seem to be a very profoundly dumb thing for her to do given that you could show up looking for her again. Not that you will get your money back.
  13. Hmmmm .... I wonder who Petey is referring to near the end of his last post???? (wink) And SA, one thing you can't say to an independent lady here that you can say to an agency: "Send them ALL over please... Right now." (big smile) Sorry ... No disrespect intended ... Its Friday afternoon and I'm in a good mood!
  14. Showered, shaved, coiffed AND not having to use the bathroom. And, uh, the idea of having Meg or one of our other favorite ladies here smiling back at us sounds reallllly good as well!
  15. Well I just spent a ton on money on a new, very efficient HVAC unit for our big house. But I did that to significantly reduce our enegy costs over our old furnace. I'm not a believer is the carbon footprint "thing." I think the same people who are selling carbon credits are just the modern version of the people who used to sell the Brooklyn Bridge.
  16. I agree with WIT ... use this option only as a last resort as its a double-edge sword. If somebody is pissing you off enough where you want to exercise that option, you may want to see if they are also dissing you on a forum.
  17. I personally have no preference. Its kinda nice to get to knows the ladies a bit better which is more likely to happen with an independent, but my last visit was with a lady from an agency. And, by the way, one thing that Pink Kitty offers that Jason didn't mention .... if you have a morning appointment scheduled, he'll even give you a wake up call or text! (smile)
  18. I'm a lawyer, so brevity is the least of my problems (smile) ... if anything, I tend to ramble on a bit. Its nice to get to know someone a bit as an icebreaker. Also, those e-mail conversations give you an easy way to start up the face to face conversation when you finally meet. Not to mention that its just plain f...ing rude to send a lady a message like that.
  19. How about "Whisper?". I think that would be a great name!
  20. To apex's last question, it would not stop me as long as there are other sufficient reasons to see her versus others that might have more of a Cerb history. And to Megan's point a page or so ago, I agree it's good to give back to the community, but -- by definition here on Cerb -- recommendations have to be positive, so again our only defense is silence. I agree the guys should get off their butts and write recos, but only where the situation merits that.
