I got something is red ... as a combined birthday/college graduation present, a 1978 Camaro with a 350 V-8. It was all junked up with emission equipment, and it had about 20,000 miles on it, but boy was that fun.

Bad encounter -- SP rolling her eyes when I tried to ask polite questions telling me its my time to waste, bad odors (uggh), indifference. And that was all one encounter (smile). Good encounter -- mentioned by many of the guys above, emotional, fun, a little intense, a little aggressive, but mostly caring.

Megan -- Simply based on the facts as presented by the original poster. I'm not looking to rabble rouse, and I agree the roles are probably reversed far more often with the ladies coming out on the short end of the missed appointment. I have no idea of what the explanation is, whether its a good explanation or not, or who is being referred to. Frankly, I'd rather not have any of that be publicly known as I think this is something that should be dealt with privately simply as a matter of courtesy. And if the roles were reversed, and ... lets say ... you or one of our other cerb ladies were the aggrieved party, I'd feel the just as strongly that the client would owe a private explanation to the lady involved. I hope that makes sense.

No disrespect intended, but the only facts before us are those posed by the original poster. Everything else is pure supposition. Until there are other facts known, we should stick with those. The original poster came to us for advice, based on his facts, and that's what he has gotten. I dont think its judging, based on the facts presented, that the lady involved owes the poster an explanation.

Biggest problem with the bar, in my opinion, is that's where a lot of the dancers hang out hoping to make eye contact with someone. Maybe that only applies to Barb's, but there's really no other place to hang out except at the tables.

I like SA's point number 2 ... I had never thought of that at least quite that way. Point number 1 ... well ... since that area is known as "perverts row," I try to avoid that. Here's what I say when a dancer that I'm not likely to be interested in asks to sit down: Option 1: If I am waiting for another dancer, I simply say, "Thanks for stopping, but I am waiting for another dancer. Sorry and have a good evening." That usually works even if you are not really waiting for another dancer and is, for the most part, a "politically correct" answer. Option 2: If I'm not going to be interested, "Thanks for stopping, I appreciate it, but I'm probably not going to be buying dances for a quite a while. Have a good evening." Here's what I say if a dancer who is walking by asks for a dance and I 'm not interested: Option 3: "No thank you, but thanks for stopping." Option 4: Upping the ante -- If there is a dancer I might be interested in, I say, Thanks for stopping, I'm not interested in a dance right now but maybe later. However, I'd be glad to buy you a drink if you'd like." That puts the decision back to the dancer. If a dancer manages to sit down for more than a minute or so, I like SA's idea of making it clear its only one dance. On threads like this, I always hope the dancers contribute ... they are out there!

Sydney Lacroix, formerly French Kiss Montreal and now independent, visits once in a while. There was also Cameron locally, but I know she cancelled her cerb account and isn't seeing clients any more.

I'm hoping one day that these meetings match up with one of my visits to Ottawa as I would love to go. In the meantime, I suggest that these ladies be allowed to all get together and the guys... well ... I'm sure we'd be glad to buy tickets!

I think I recognize most of those characters from the last cerb party.

Geez, that sounds like standard attire for a lot of young, club going women these days, so that's really weird. And maybe, or lets assume, the outfit did give an impression of desiring a sexual encounter. But its a far cry from that to having a guy force himself on a girl. Terrible.

Pike -- As has been pointed out, there are a lot of possible explanations for what happened. I also understand that you are concerned in a somewhat "compromised" situation by virtue of the detail you needed to supply to the lady involved, but its very unlikely that informaiton would ever be used against you especially by an experienced SP unless you did something to deserve it. However, from you explanation, and the failure of the lady to respond post-meeting, this one does get under my skin a bit. To whatever lady is involved in this situation: You owe this guy at least a polite PM response if not an explanation. After all, he took the time to go through your vetting process and apparently did everything you asked. Quit avoiding the situation and respond. Sooner or later this type of information can get out, and its better to deal with it before the information gets out in a fashion "through the grapevine" that may not be entirely accurate or fair to you.

Geez ... a bunch of "doubting Thomases" around here (smile). I dont know either, but I'm taking as few chances as possible.

For me, during law school where I figured out I could have a hotdog and a bag of popcorn for 95 cents. Relish on the hotdog for vegetables.

Other than starting earlier in the morning, sounds like you have a pretty broad range of availability as it is.

Plus in the (admittedly very) unlikely event you get caught, you could have a major problem. On the other hand, if you are just visiting "friends" (pre-made appointments with reliable clients) for a short trip and carry a normal suitcase full of clothes, I cant imaging having much of a problem. Heck, just visit anywhere on the Gulf Coast of Florida over the winter and you are going to see as many Canadians as Americans.

As others have said, dont focus on the rep points ... just focus on writing intelligent, inciteful and helpful posts. The points will come over time. Also, you will have a better general reputation on cerb regardless of what the rep points indicate.

Its my understanding that most of the dancers dont wear cologne so that customers wives and girlfriends dont get upset. That being said, whatever smells are left ... even if its days later when I am back home uppacking my shirts ... is really wonderful!

How about an Alka Seltzer tablet! (smile)

I signed up just for "fun" for a small amount of money about two months ago. Its true that it costs points to actually communicate. Also, the ratio is about 10:1 guys to girls, although AM claims that there are more female paying members than guys. And (with no disrespect intended) I think the average weight of the females listed is greater than that of the guys. :>/ Long and short of it is that it is a lot more involved with a lot of time wasted and, frankly, I dont like the whole "affair" proposition behind the site. Dont even visit anymore.

Each post has an edit option that is available for a day or two after posting. I believe you could use that to remove most of the duplicate post and add a comment to explain.

All things considered, I'd suggest the deduction line item be listed as something other than "pooning." (smile)

I think the guys that take the time to read cerb and the other boards to get to know the "hobby" are instantly showing respect by investing the time to try to do get involved in the "right" way. Therefore, almost by definition, I suspect the ladies are likely to meet a higher caliber of client here than a random sampling of calls based on their website, escorts canada or CL (when it was around). I have always been a polite, respectful person, but cerb has definitely changed me. Althought sometimes I think things here are a bit too filtered, I have learned an incredible amount of information from the ladies and the other guys. And it hasn't happened very often, but it is certainly fun to meet another cerb member.

Discussions on a topic like this can get heated even if no harm was intended, and its usually not around here. If I get a critical (not necessarily a bad word, by the way) response to something I have stated I go back and try to politely clarify my point, apologize, or do nothing and let the point stand.

Playboy, definitely Playboy. My 11 year old friend had some pin ups in his "fort" under the basement stairs. Boy, that was sure something I had never seen before.
