  1. If these are phone threats it should be simple enough to record the date and time of the calls and report those to police, private investigators or some of our well-placed members (like CK?). Emma's right as well, but it is possible the remain annonymous on the internet unless someone is willing to put in a lot of effort to locate you. I dont know what the board policy would be on this but at least calling them out by their CERB name and then certainly banning them would seem something the board can do.
  2. Well done Pete ... thanks for the review!
  3. As I mentioned in another thread, SCs are great fun because the usual male-female roles reverse quite a bit. Think about it: At strip clubs, you have gorgeous ladies trying to make eye contact with you, come on to you, etc., and on a slow night you almost have to fight them off with a stick, especially if you look like a middle aged guy that's nicely dressed. And if they are lucky enough to get your attention, they'll come talk to you and, if they are really lucky, you will let them take their clothers off for you and who knows what else. Where else in the world does this happen???!!! CK has a great response, but I dont want to steal his joke (smile).
  4. What I think this thread is lacking is a woman's touch, no pun intended. ;-) Hope some of the SPs contribute. Personally, a lighter approach and steady, steady, steady usually works the best for me.
  5. Mackenzie -- If that's all you meant, I apologize, but a clarification would certainly be appreciated. I always get a kick out of SCs ... where else in the world can a middle age guy simply look at a gorgeous girl and she comes over and offers to get naked for you???  Spud -- thanks for the reconfirmation, although that's really really sad.
  6. Can you define "hit" please? I hope you're not talking about getting drugs because if you are, you are asking in the wrong message string, and in the wrong forum, and most definitely the wrong guy. If there was some type of dealing going on, I hope they do get busted as that gives the club a bad name. If you are talking about working at Barb's, on the other hand, that might be a great topic for this section, and the guys probably some thoughts on that, and you might even get some PMs from other ladies that work at the Ottawa clubs.
  7. I agree with my learned colleagues above ... physical attractiveness is important as well as a desire to actually enjoy the time together ... much less to do with age, as some of my better experiences are with older ladies.
  8. A technical question from an out-of-towner ... I assume you wait till you drink all of the coffee before trying to unroll the rim? I imagine if you didn't you'd look like a drooling moron (I usually save that look for the SPs ), but maybe there's an art to this whole thing.
  9. When I first started this thread last fall (it keeps popping up) my thoughts were exactly as pointed out by Kimberly Shea, but at the same time, I respect the right of any SP to place any condition she feels as necessary on an appointment. It may not be, IMHO, the best business decision, and she may be missing out on some really good clients (like me - hahaha), but if that's what it takes to make her feel comfortable, that's her choice and I respect that. Different ladies are going to have very different sensitivities on this matter. I see SPs that are definitely successful asking for full name information as well ... something else that I would never be comfortable with. I would never want a SP to be anything other than completely comfortable with me as its going to take away from our time together. On the few occasions where I have contacted an independent SP, or any agency for the first time, I go out of my way to tell them a bit about myself including a physical description and my background, as well as mentioning my cerb name. That usually seems to evoke a positive response and hopefully is the start of a process to develop a sense of trust. So whatever conditions they wany want to impose in that regard, subject to my right to politely decline of course, is fine with me.
  10. Dudes, lets just see how this works for a while. The points being raised are well thought out, but mostly theoretical. The Mod ... who seems like a resonable and sober fellow (smile) ... can turn the whole thing off if things get out of hand.
  11. Unfortunately, as confirmed to me by a couple dancers at the club, its true. :>(
  12. Paige and gang ... try now ... seems to be working fine.
  13. More sad news from Barbs, again from stripclublist ... one of the ladies apparently died accidentally, possibly from a fall ... her name was listed as Solo/Pandora. I dont have any other news, but that's really sad.
  14. Just as a clarification only for guys seeking information on Annessa, I understand that Annessa recently left Cupids and is working as an independent again. I think she may try to re-appear on cerb soon ... previously she was known as Chantilly.
  15. To paraphrase Claude Rains from Casablanca: "I'm shocked ... shocked to find out there's solicitation going on at this establishment." :>)
  16. A bit of an update -- I heard indirectly that a couple of the ladies were arrested for solicitation by undercover officers. Doesn't sound like an earth-shattering event. I will let you know if I hear more.
  17. Guys ... I just saw this on StripClublist.com ... not exactly the most reliable source, but a dancer txted me that something happened. If I get any more details, I'll let you know, but I'm 1200 miles away in the US. I think you guys have a great excuse to go so some investigatin' ! I agree that its probably just a little too much stuff/extras going on, especially during the daytime. If someone is dealing drugs in there, that's no good and I assume could get the club shut down.
  18. I saw a posting on another site that there were arrests on Friday or Saturday at Barb's for prostitution and drugs. Any truth to that? I suspect the prostitution probably relates to just some extras, and I know that the occasional joint might be consumed in the ladies locker room, but this sounds pretty tough if its true.
  19. I really think those examples are more of the exception than the rule, but when you hear about it, or hear the "N word," it hits like a lighting bolt, and it tends to stand out. Remember, after all, Obama got elected, not by an overwhelming majority, but certainly the vote was decisive. So the US deserves credit for that. how many of the major economies int he world (including ... ahem ... Canada ... smile) have elected a black person as their leader? Its an important watershed event. Alabama and Georgia are a big part of the seat of the Old South, and its going to take generations to remove that entirely. As to dummpy's liberal reference, that is historically accurate as well, and not unexpected as that part of the country used to be a democratic bastion until the 70s, albeit with a reactionary view about race issues.
  20. I dont want to pull this string off topic, and I'm glad to see Obama doing some travelling (maybe he'll learn something ... smile), but I think many of us have grown up in a generation that believes that the government can somehow "fix" the economy. I respectfully assert that it cant, and in most cases, it does more harm than good. There are many examples over the past 100 years, of governments, possibly with the best intentions, wrongly inserting themselves into the market and causing more harm than good. The "housing crisis," as its being called, was caused by sub-prime lending widely supported by Congress (hell, even Saturday Night Live figured that out), and its effect on a highly -leveraged mortgage derivative market. It didn't take much to cause this market to start to collapse last fall, and I would agree that there is an strong argument for better regulation and oversight, not by idiots in Congress, but by people who know what they are doing. This sort of regulation was actively dismissed by democratic members of Congress as recently as 2 years ago. Obama's actions to date have indicated that he is going to take a spending/re-allocation approach to "fixing"the crisis (he likes the word "crisis" a lot) that may include some socialistic elements such as arbitrarily re-casting mortgages or requiring the taxpayers to subsidize those who cant pay their mortgages. That's certainly one approach and, historically and unfortunately, it never works. By the way, its good to see the reference to FDR, but FDR's programs, although to some extent needed as a safety net for people really suffering during the Great Depression, never got the country out of the Great Depression ... it took World War II to do that. And I believe everything in my note is well-supported by the historical record. Hopefully our new glorious leader (shall we call him the "Big O" on this board?? ... smile) will come to understand that before my mutual funds are completely worthless.
  21. The answer is yes, definitely, I would want to know, but if this is a possibility I would try to address this issue ahead of time by providing enough of a written description to eliminate any possibility of that unfortunate event arising. As I'm from the US and only visit Ottawa on business, that should be satisfactory.
  22. Being from the US, I was kinda hoping you all would keep him up there. He's wreaking havoc in the US's financial markets. I never thought we would have a more liberal leader than Canada ... can we trade you for Harper? ;>)
  23. For me, its all about making the lady feel comfortable and making sure she is enjoying herself. Trying to negotiate an appointment rate when its clearly stated beforehand would have the exact opposite effect. Whenever possible for me, its rate+tip+(if possible) a small, thoughtful gift, upfront, on the table. I point out the gift and the envelope, and its entirely up to the lady when to open them.

  25. Other members bashing each other? Ugggh ... that's even worse. I can see, for instance a heated discussion of a topic on cerb or one or the other boards, but some people must really be holding a grudge. Either that, or some folks are just creating mischief because of your relatively high profile around here ... maybe thats a big part of it ... kinda like troll activity. As loneskater mentions, the problem is exacerbated by a chat room where the dissing occurs real time and cant be as tightly regulated. However, I do think between you, Pistol Pete and CK, you all are singlehandedly keeping the girls so busy that no one else can ever get an appointment (wink)...
