  1. Lany, I did not have the opportunity to read your post before you modified it, but I hope this board hasn't reached the point where we cant discuss a controversial topic, especially one involving the industry, as long as its done respectfully. Maybe there were some details that were too specific or problematic. I take it from roaminguy's post that it had to do with withholding references or something like that, and I agree that's too bad and my experience is similar to his ... most people seem to be quite willing to share. I take particular exception to scottthecanuck's post which I read as nothing more than discouragement to anyone who might have an opinion on whatever the matter was that Lany was trying to talk about. Have we really gotten to that point around here?
  2. +1 Isabella ... I saw her about a month ago ... Haitian, I think. Very very nice lady and well reviewed here. Correction ... She is Mexican, as Kim explains below. Sorry for confusion!
  3. +1 well said. I feel the same ... Very, very fortunate. I'm sure those days are coming for me with my parents getting older ... Part of the objective has to be to help protect and guide those around you and those that are younger so they have the character and bravery to deal with these issues when they arise. Setting a good example ... That sort of thing.
  4. Provided they are still working under their film name. I know of at least one person that apparently was fairly popular in Canadian adult films that is an occasional SP but is trying to get as far away from that as possible. Best wishes with your search.
  5. Thanks. Actually I have a frequent stayer program with delta (Marriott as well) so I would prefer to stay at mother Delta ... That's why I was asking whether anyone has stayed at the Lyon st. Location since the renovation.
  6. Thanks for the reco.. Charlotte is very classy lady, and she manages to combine her classiness with an easy going and conversational style (not to mention sexiness) that is absolutely wonderful to experience. As I only visit Ottawa occasionally, our schedules haven't matched up for quite a while, but I'm glad to see people posting recent experiences that sound exactly like the experiences I have had with her in the past. Hope to see her again at some point in the not to distant future.
  7. Agreed, its simple to do ... in the states, we registered for this right away (I think it was only done at the state level) as it does seem to cut down on the telemarketing calls on our land line. Whether or not its an urban legend, RG's basic point is a good one as this is really simple to do and you get hassled less on your phone. It doesn't get rid of everything in the states as prior vendors, charities and (ugh) political solicitations are excepted out of the rule.
  8. Ouch ...that's a tough one, but I bet it's on a lot of people's lists, so you are not alone!
  9. There's usually taxis parked in the driveway at the Delta on Queen looking down Queen St. towards Barbs ... wonder if they saw anything?
  10. Somebody must be pretty crazed or pissed off, or likely both.
  11. I probably would have become a doctor instead of a lawyer ... too many mind games with my colleagues. Really. On the other hand, being a lawyer, people pay me to bullshit. :icon_wink: And I agree with Sacha ... respectfully, many of you aren't answering the question! (smile)
  12. Looks like the Delta Hotel on Queen Street is closing, or at least changing its name, to a different hotel brand at the end of the month. I always liked it there as it was always very clean, if not the most up to date, with a very friendly staff. I know Delta has taken over the property on Lyon adjacent to the Queen Street location and is remodeling it. Has anyone stayed in the Lyon Street location in a remodeled room? Looks promising with a 42" TV and the usual Delta amenities, high speed internet, etc.. However, trying to figure out if I should move over there or move down to the Marriott. For me, these are business trips and I usually stay a few days. Never been in the hotel, but I seem to recall hearing there is a more discrete path to the elevators than the Queen St. Location. Any thoughts appreciated.
  13. You're right, but I think the ladies still like to spend a little time at the top of the recommendation list. For me, it can simply be a few lines confirming impressions made at an prior meeting and that my feelings haven't changed. Also, as to the reco. threads, I think it would be possible to fit more in by shrinking the size of each one.
  14. Apparently this is something of an issue, I'm told, around Montreal? Agree with slurp and Gabriella obviously. I can say that I have always left a recommendation with every lady that I .... uh .... feel comfortable writing one about, but that's almost always. I can also say that I have always written a follow up recommendation whenever I see a lady again. Its a big help to the ladies because of how fast recommendations move out of the most recent list, and some guys just browse around and see the most recently reviewed ladies first. BTW, that's arguably a problem with the recos, but that's a separate issue.
  15. Pats this time. Giants look extremely beatable to me; 49ers handed them the game with the fumble.
  16. Maybe we shouldn't give him a HARD time. :icon_biggrin:
  17. Its a HARD story to read. :icon_rolleyes::icon_rolleyes::icon_rolleyes:
  18. Given what I do for a living, I should be for these laws but I'm not. There are already laws on the books to protect the content in question, and these proposed laws place the onus on the wrong party in my opinion. As long as a party has the right to object to the content provider/creator and go to court if the content isn't taken down, that should be satisfactory for anything short of criminal behavior. I fully support the copyright law, but it is wrong to make other people responsible for the obligation of the copyright holder to enforce its rights. That horse has already left the barn.
  19. In the high school yearbook office to a fellow student/staff member. Wasn't expecting it ... I think it was her idea! By the way, it was after hours.
  20. drlove -- I agree that she, pretty unequivocally, stated her position, and now the onus is on you if you are looking for something more than that. So, right now, whenever you go out, her paradigm is friendship and nothing else. I saw you said you are willing to walk away, but you are interested in the friendship. Most guys have been in this position before in their lives, so you are by no means alone: "Jeez I like her, but she said so, but jeez I like her, etc. etc. etc." To me, the question I would ask myself would be, "Am I happy in just a friendship relationship with this person, even if that never changes." Jabba may have a point here! I kinda like roaminguy's idea of bringing the issue to a head, but I think you could do it without misrepresenting what's going on. You could say something like, "I'm going to sign up for a dating service" or something like that and see how she reacts. That might get you more "data points." Good luck!
