Eveningstar I did read your post I did not take it personally and just responded to what you had posted. I simply fell that most people misuse and misunderstand the meaning of the word Respect. Also you did post the following statment. Consideration and politness are only good maners but are NOT they same RESPECT.

I am not saying that I am better that anyone else, I am just stating my views. You are not going to hand over your credit card to someone you just meet, but to your long term relation ship you will because you trust them that they are going to max it out and walk and never see you again. At my last job I worked the better part of 20 years for a company that I DID NOT like the owner. But I did show him the courtesy he deserved as the owner of the company. Did I respect him for paying me straight time when it should have been paying overtime.................... no sir. I respect honesty, I respect hard work, I respect my friend who will insist that and totaly believe that ........the sky is pink.........and be totally wrong. He has the convictions to stand up for what he believes in right or wrong. Trust may refer to: Trust (social sciences), relationship of reliance You can find other definations of those words but what it boils down to is this. You got to get to know someone before you can say I trust and respect him/her. Showing common courtesy (respect) to some one you just meet is only good maners. The meaning of the word respect changes depending on in what context you are using it in. There is a different in showing respect for someone and telling them that you respect them for who they are. Would you respect the person who just stole your wallet with $1000 in it? Would you show that person respect if you just caught him/her stealing it? Now if you drop you wallet with $1000 and a stranger hand it back and the money is still there would you show them respect? Would you tell them so? Interesting eh! Any how I agree this tread has morphied from that it started out to be. My suggestion........for Soleil only you can select someone, message some of the Sp's here online and talk with them be honest at what you are looking for but most of alll when you do decide to take the plung.......ENJOY!

Cat, "TRUST AND RESPECT ARE EARNED NOT BESTOWED" Sure I know it's only half the women on the planet cannot be trusted. The ones that can be trusted and that are worth while are happily married. I would describe myself as a typical Pisces. I was raised with old fashioned values, I was taught that if you gave your word "yes I will help you.....what ever" you did it and there was never an excuse that was acceptable for not doing what you agreed to. I was taught to have a work ethic and all of that stuff. Is there someone out there for me to make a connection with......sure there is, but in my past experiences have hurt me deeply and I tend to be more careful now a days. I do tend to trust people but I temper that with caution based on past experiences. Am I some what jaded toward women sure am I put limits in place to protect me from being hurt and the limits only get less over time as trust and respect are earned. I have asked women out (girls when is school) and have been hurt (too much leading with my heart I guess) but have found out this WOMEN CANNOT BE TRUSTED. A SP in not a substitute for a Girlfriend. With an Sp I know exactly what to expect no BS no head games. I agree it is easy pick up a phone, send an email and you got it. It is a quick fix.......like a drug almost................... The Pathfinder is 14 yrs old, and the repair although are some are regular maintenance (first exhaust in the 8 yrs I've own it last year) are starting to get more expensive. It's telling me it's time to let it go. This is the second Nissan that I have owned and the first was a little 1988 truck great on fuel compared to this pig. Your right though not as bad as some, both Nissan's I have owned never once left me on the road always started in the cold not plugged in (not that I could no block heater). I would not hesitate to drive 8 - 10 hours away and back with either of them. I am traveling 51 km to work now compared to the 5 km I was a year ago, with the rising price of fuel I and the repair starting to get more expensive I believe can save money buy getting some better on fuel and newer. I am starting to get a little afraid of it's age, I have the frame and floor repaired so the good is gone out of the SUV now it is simply time t olet her go. If I buy a second vehicle it will be a motorcycle again, but my main vehicle needs to be replaced first. I thought that the Subaru might get a little better fuel mileage that that, but given that it is AWD the little 4 cylinder is working hard all thetime. This Subaru with 200 km on it although it looks nice in the picture, because of fuel usage and the higher km and some of the customer reviews I have seen suggest the door are too light and the windows motor are junk, the boots around the drive axle are frequently in need of replacement. With the input from everyone I have decided to not buy this one and wait until the right vehicle and the right price and right Km's on it come around I have the time I can drive my pathfinder until the wheels fall off if need be. I like the idea of AWD in the winter time though my 4x4 Pathfinder has been nice to have. Maybe I will look for Nissan Frontier, We shall see I will wait and see what come along. MSOG Depends on a lot of things, myself I had had sessions that 2 shots on goals were possible, also have had sessions were only 1 shot on goals was ever going to happen. 3 shots on goal in 1 hour........not yet.......I am willing to make the sacrifice, if any ladies wish to test the 3 shots on goals in 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours myth, I am here and willing to do my bit for science!

PrettyPage22, Someone might be interested in your car. Personally I am not as I have no faith in any of the products of the big 3 auto makers, so I do not even look at them. Sorry all of you fans of them, but I feel they are a waste of money, take them right to the junk yard all they are worth is scrap value imho.

Good point on the repair bills, My nissan is like that, I know exactly what you are saying. 4 hour just to change the thermostat (insane). NO CUP HOLDERS the designers should be shot. I like 4x4 in the winter other wise it goes unused other then just to keep it moving once a month. AWD seems like a nice option if I cannot drive it in the winter because of the snow I probally should not be driving anyway. The 200K +km does bother me a little bit but I have seen them with more, but it is something to keep in mind. Has anyone owned a Subrau that can provide any insite to this manufacture?

Done that, there can be some problems with this vehicle weak factory clutch, road noise, drive alxe boots, frameless door windows. Seeing as it is 10 yrs old and 200K on it iI do not figure that there are no major problems with it, there always could be with any used car, but it might be worth the risk for 2 years.

Hello everyone, I know this is not your tipical topic for this board but I figured i would ask. I am looking to replace my old vehicle (Pathfinder) with someting a littel better of gas. I was thinking of a Subaru wagon. I have a line on a 1999 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport with 200K on it, looks to be in good shape and well maintained, will make another judgement after i test ride and view the vehicle. I have read different reviews on it and look the internert over about. I figure that I should get another 2 years with out too many problems (hopefully). Just wondering if any one had any experiences with this vehicle or can offer any tidbits on Subarau in general. Thanks in advance for any help.

As was stated each member has to earn the respect of each and every member on this board, hobbiest and SP alike. MOST will not reply to a public question or even a PM from someone who is new to the board or had little posting, and if you have had one run in or problem in the past with one well respected member then it is even worse. A new person or a person with no post is an unknown and people need time from reading their postings and question they ask to get comfortable with tehm. We all and some point in time was new to this board and face the no answer no help to questions, THIS IS A FACT OF LIFE FOR ALL BOARDS. How ever the DND got your personal information from Bell Mobility I would guess that it was done was legal. The OPP got my call logs from Bell Mobility, A friend of mine was cheating on his wife, he got caught. His now the EX-wife at teh time was pissed I mean really pissed he got kicked out on his ear and I accused my of making threating phone calls to her. The investigating office got my call logs becasue it was a crimanial investigation. Too bad for her one cannot make or recieve call on an phone turn off. My call long reflected that no calls in or out that day. The OPP went back to my friends now ex-wife and said next time you lie and file a false report you will be charged, so needless to say I do not speak to her anymore. Cell phone are getting easier to get a hold, I can walk into Macs and buy one activate it over a land line or on the internet they only know what you tell them. I even buy used phones at Pawn shop (easier to find but more money) yard sales, thrifts shops and such. I only buy Roger, fido, Virgin phone now as they can be activated online or over a landline (for free) I use perpaid cell cards. I even watch for clearence sales at stores they some time offer phones for $20 or $30 and some of them give you either a prepaid card with it or a instant credit. I buy these for gifts for family or friends. I will not buy used Bell Mobility phones as they charge to re-activate a used phone, but they some time have a clearance section on there web site and one ca get a good deal on a older model withless option it. I once had a cell phone actived for a different location, That way I had a local numbers for my friends to call me instend of them calling long distance all the time, worked great. Gave it away on the way out of town. Someone else has suggest that if a person has a cellphone that uses a sim card to just get anothe sim card. That works for getting the calls off the :family" or Busniess" phone log and onto a private one. I will also work for going to a diffeetne city or province. The down side is that you can only use one at a time.

Update, the managmet team decided that they did not have enough people to full the schedule, so they cut all full time staff back (except for the supervisor of course) to hire more staff. This has the new supervisor written all over it, no likes her and no one want to work for her. She realizes that the job entales more than she counted on for the pay shows her inexperience. When she tried to step back, the owner would not let her, to bad so sad you wanted the job you got the job live with it. Well after months of searching and turning down a couple sales job's (commision pay no thanks) I finally landed a job. I start in 2 weeks due to a privacy agreement i sign i cannot release any information about it. I will get a substantial raise in pay from my current pay, benifets, full time straight shift. I'll take it. Cannot wait until Monday to see the look on my supervisor face. Boy oh Boy am I going to enjoy this! Not sure if i will acutally work the entire 2 weeks notice i gave. Just heard this morning from the new supervisor, her duties will involve job performace reviews, er hum........brain dead.....monent please.........coaching and displine on lacking duties and such. Job ain't worth it for the money, and she even went so far 4 weeks ago by telling the ex supervisor that if she got the job that she will change thing, and if the guys don't like it they can either do there jobs or else and If they quit I will replace them. She is going head hunting, backed by the owner all the way. Let them Fire me the severance would be nice. Mind you I am not looking to get fired that would look bad on me. heading to the city Monday to see if i can arange some training to improve my resume.

8.80 is my current earnings, the raise to 9 even for a title for doing what I have been doing for years. The supervisor makes any ware from 1.5 to 2 more that again. It would have look good on my resume is all that is why I applied. After 17 years with all that I have done I felt that the best choice for the job was me, he felt differently is all which is his right. The next step in my career their was supervisor, now it is time to expand my experience elsewhere. I have known for a while it was time to leave, but is just the final confirmation. I don't believe in job hopping I don't think that one truly get ahead that way. Part of me wants tell him off and walk, but I do know that type of response might just come back to haunt me later on in life. I have already been doing the supervisor's job for years while someone else got the credit. To make a long story short I have been passed over 4 times now position for the same reasons and I have to train them or do the job for them. After 17 year earn I the princely sum $8.80/hr he offer me a $0.20/hr raise to goto supervisor's support. Hum lest think about this. My sister is the shipping/receving supervisor at a plant in West end Ottawa. $13 to start, plus benefits plus shift premium working the swing shift 11pm-7am Gee working 12am-8am now. Paid overtime available. My sister think that I should go right now they cannot find enough qualified people to work for them she thinks that I am a shoe in. What would you do! Well sir I have made my mind up. I'm going else where. McDoanld, Tim Hortons, gas station, construction, factory where ever. Unemployement was mention her that's a really good thought, I will have to try it some day.

Well the decision came out today, I kind of suspected last week, the other lady got the supervisor's position. I got offered the second position BOTH are management positions outside the union. The owner thinks that I need more training is some areas, because I have not work days has limited me. Damn near told him where to stuff it right there, but I held my tongue. The owner feels the the responsibilities should be split up between us. He wants to get rid of the attitude that it is us again them (union vs management). I will simply tell him that as he requested I have had time to think about things and reevaluate the situations and by promoting 2 people to a management position will furtherer the feeling of union vs management. I will have to word that very carefully. On the plus side he was considering a third candidate from outside the company but after interviewing me he declined her totally base on mostly what I had said. He sees the I have some of the skills for the job but thinks that I need more training at this time, I impressed him he said and want to reconize my contrbution and that is why he has come up with this. Well back to school, Forklift Training, Whims, and what ever else update my resume and start to apply, and go it's time.. Well the interview list came out Tuesday and my name was not on it. Well I figured that I'm gone. Shock Thursday I get a call from the owner and he wanted to meet with me. I arrived at the selected location early we talked of just over an hours. I surprised him and he learned a lot. I officially have a 1 in 3 changes. Either way I just want to know This waiting needs to be over, I have had the waiting. I will let you know what happens, thanks for the support guys.
