I tried the Avanti brand (apparently the predecessor?), for a girl that had an allergy to latex. It's ok to advertise there, but there are a lot of scams to worry about as far as some of the other ads go. I've been using this thing for awhile and now it no longer works. Started going wonky with FF 3.5 and lately it does nothing. Appears that the website for craigstoolbox is either down or gone, might have something to do with it. Or maybe it's my configuration, who knows? Anyway, found some Greasemonkey scripts that do the same thing and more. CL image preview 2 gives you a preview and you can adjust the size of the image to your liking. As well, when you mouse over the picture, it will resize the image to it's full state. CL Post Preview gives you the entire ad in a box to the right when you hover over the link. Pretty cool. And of course it works for all ads on CL so it's handy for stuff like apartment hunting too ;) You need to install Greasemonkey first as an add-on if you do not have it already.

Yeah, a blog is not the best approach. I was thinking along the lines of going outside the box with a living, breathing, online novel...come up with something different, something new. To draw attention to something like this, it has to be unique. And it could also demonstrate a collective unity to an industry that has a reputation for being catty. So I'm suggesting that instead of looking at what's out there and thinking that's not they way to go, try and think of what's not out there and figure out how to do it. You really have to differentiate yourself in this day and age...

I think you just have to communicate to her your experiences in dealing with SP's. I try to approach these situations with as little conjecture as possible. As stated previously, the date's not official until you're actually in the same room together. If there's a cancellation, I don't bother wasting any mental energy on whether or not the excuse was valid or truthful it just is what it is - a cancellation. I don't think they were glamourizing it...I've seen a lot of fucked up shit in movies, and that scene was hands down the most disturbing ever. And I think that was the point, it was supposed to make you sick and uncomfortable. Wasn't harsh and totally valid. There are some out there that either have a street-walker mentality or find the business of selling sex for money to be unsavoury. So when a guy is done, the job for them is over, time be damned. They got their money and just want it to be finished. And maybe that's not a problem with some of their customers.
