  1. Next time I'm in Shirley Leishman's, I hope you can help me find something.8)
  2. You're one of my fav PSEs of all-time. And we've never even been close to that end of the Mediterranean. {;-) (Well, close, but no landing party. Lol.) Though if I ever wanted to pay a visit to the Greek isles, I would probably want to stop in your port first. Lol. It just looks so inviting, with that round, secure harbour nestled between those two perfectly shaped hills. But there's more to the Greek experience than that. See you soon, I hope, to share some tangy tzatziki, liberally applied. {;-)
  3. My thoughts, after listening to the item: 1) There are a lot of common and erroneous cliches about johns, based mostly on the lower end of the sad and sorry street trade, which are frequently perpetuated by self-serving media types and dogmatic feminists. 2) Most johns are just average middle-aged middle-class guys who either aren't very good at having "real" relationships with women or who have a higher than average sex drive (or both) and can afford to do something about it. (Would have been good to hear more than one john interviewed, though the guy we did hear is reasonably representative of a POV we see represented fairly often here on CERB.) 3) There are lots of reasons why people are involved in this lifestyle, some of them rather sad and pathetic, though many are anything but that. 4) Most of the women who freely and thoughtfully chose to go into this profession as independent operators are very decent and very good human beings. 5) Good that there's some work being done in this area based on thorough research, real data and evidence-based analysis.

  5. Thanks to CH for organizing the next social event! This might be a good time to re-post some of the basics for this group, since we can't do "sticky posts" in social groups. Over and above the general good-time of socializing with other like-minded individuals in a relaxed atmosphere in a public place, social events can also lead to participation in Poly Parties.Though you can come to Poly Socials and never feel obligated to participate in Poly Parties. Totally up to you. It's all good. But it's good to note that in order to participate in a Poly Party you must either: 1) Show up to a Poly social event so that we can put a face (and a personality) to the handle. If the members attending the social event (M&F) have a good feeling about your maturity and discretion, you could then be asked to participate in future Poly Parties. 2) Develop one or more in-person connections with some of the practicing members of the Poly Group. Or the well-known members of CERB. A recommendation from a well-known trusted provider (or respected male CERB member), particularly those who are members of the Poly Group, could enable your eligibility to participate in a Poly Party.
  6. Uhm, I don't think many women doing in-calls in hotels have 10+ clients a night, or ever more than 3+ clients in a night. Lol. Compared to college boys who've rented a hotel room to have a "good time", for example, the average experienced independent escort undoubtedly comes across in a very low-key way, usually just as another quiet business woman traveling on her own However, if you want to flaunt having escorts visiting your place of residence in the manner you describe, it could be all you need is one nosy social conservative neighbour to cause you problems. It's not where you do it, it's how you do it. As other have noted in this thread, it's a question of discretion, common sense and balance.
  7. Yes, all good points, particularly the latter. This thread covers some of the same territory: The Pros & Cons of Being a Hobbyist http://cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=19801
  8. "or the practice of acts of indecency" theoretically pretty much leaves it open to anything from your wife going topless in your hotel room with the curtains open to guys jerking each other off in a vacant apartment with the curtains closed, just to mention a couple among a very wide range of possibilities, as "indecent act" historically can cover quite a lot of conceptual territory in Canadian law. That's because it's an archaic, badly written, overly general and unhelpfully vague section. Which could, with the current court challenges, be among the reasons it will be struck down. In practical terms, unless there's a complaint or a disturbance that attracts LE to a flagrant and clear violation with regard to on-going prostitution on the premises, the chances of enforcement of this section are pretty much nil. Certainly, the prosecution record would bear that out. So, as always, discretion and common sense are your best guidelines.
  9. Cherry, You have, so to speak, hit the nail on the head. Lol. Responsive in a way that works for her = works for me. In my experience, there's really no correlation between size and responsiveness. Almost any combo of those two factors is possible. And I think everyone is entitled to their opinion about everything, as long as it's respectfully and politely expressed. As Spike always does.
  10. Thanks for all your good work this past year, CK. Are you sure that photo isn't a fake? Lol.
  11. Man, I'd like to be there when that happens! 8-)
  12. Life is full of interesting possibilities. Lol.
  13. Yes, hard to believe that all 25,000 extra views were the result of one guy sitting there moving his hand up and down repeatedly. If you were going to do that that many times, probably more interesting if you had your hand on something other than a mouse. Lol.
  14. Just sorting some CERB recommendation stats and happened to notice that Red's recco has the most views of all - by about 25,000 more than any other recco! And only five of the hundreds of reccos have more 25K views in total. So congrats to her! See: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=125&daysprune=365&order=desc&sort=views As the late comedian Peter Ustinov used to respond when talk show hosts said to him, "it's nice to see you", "it's nice to be seen." Lol. And all the best to her and everyone else in 2010.
  15. That's a very interesting point. While I understand the reluctance of SPs to engage in a lot of non-paying e-mail chit-chat with clients, I do think a simple, "Thanks for your e-mail, hope to see you again soon." would be the polite thing to do. Also, an easy thing to do. And a good business (because, after all, it's a business) communiations and marketing practice. If that polite reply e-mail precipitates a "chat e-mail" kind of response from the client, then a simple, "Thanks again for your e-mails. I regret I don't have the time to respond in detail or become involved in on-going e-mail conversations with clients. I do look forward to our next meeting, however." would do the trick. Unless she wants to respond and chat via e-mail, of course. After that, if a client's e-mails become a hassle, just auto respond with the message above. He'll get tired of that pretty quickly. Any decent client worthy of a repeat would have already taken the hint of course. Just my thoughts. Others may have others.
  16. Wow, three and a half years! That's a long lurk, buddy! Clarification: use of a strap-on with a client, or with another SP as part of a duo or other combo with a client? Also, what kind of contact would the strap-on be used for? Genital, anal, oral - all of the above? Being a bit more specific may enable those who might respond to more exacting in their replies. Also, though you didn't specify, I'm thinking you might want replies via PM, where people would probably be more forthcoming.
  17. Okay, you've convinced me. From now on, I'm not going to date any more nuns. Just kidding. Lol. Seriously, there's a lot of truth in what you say. For me, a long-term emotional commitment with someone who's willing to make the same to me -to share our lives in a meaningful and honest way - counts way more than any kind of sexual "fidelity". Both parties have to feel the same way about that, of course. And walk the walk.
  18. About once a week these days, though I did manage ten the month I was off in the summer. (A pleasant little "staycation" Lol. Saved on travel costs, spent on other things.) My all-time busiest was back in Toronto in the days before the "communication for the purposes" laws came in and there was a lot of street activity, including with woman who today would just be doing in-calls via the Web. The goal for them then was to spend a hour or two kerbside each early evening collecting new customers., then give the potential repeats among a phone number so the follow-up dates could all be pre-booked by phone in-calls. And eventually just have a repeat in-call business. Quite a few indepenents would also advertise in the escorts section of Now magazine. Which became the main marketing venue once the "communication" laws came in. Any, all that by way of background just to point out how easy and fast it was to find a good date in those days - just drive down one of many downtown streets - and there were lots available. Accordingly, some weeks I would have one a day. My all-time record was three in one day. (Particularly stressed or particularly greedy that day, I guess. Lol.) Overall number of dates would depend what else was going on in my personal life. Would increase when I was on my own, sometimes go down to zero when I was with someone. So over the years, lots of dates. Add in non-escort activity and you have quite a few more. It's been fun. 8)
  19. Or just read old CERB threads on this topic. Lol http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=11523&highlight=toys
  20. There should be another social event in January. Look forward to seeing you there. Y.S. DjPrestone When is the next meet up? Would like to introduce myself
  21. Thanks for the reminder. Indeed time for a re-visit. I'm more a PSE kind of guy, but her safe GFE (including COF) is just so much fun with a really enjoyable and friendly woman. (Okay, I have a fetish for petite red heads. Lol. But regardless of hair colour or stature, she's just a really nice woman to spend time with.) Better to have safe GFE with someone who's really hot and good at what they do than PSE with someone who's only pretending. Lol. Not that that ever happens. Lol.
  22. But why didn't your coworker have to explain to you why he was there? Reminds me of an old joke. "I think Fred's gay." "Really, he seems just like a regular guy just like us." "Yeah, but every time I go to a gay bar, I see him there." Lol.
  23. Indeed. Since I've been hanging around here, I've meet several folks who have become either on-line or in-person friends via CERB, who share similar interests. Lol. However, it's interesting to note that my LTR/Fav of long-standing is someone I met completely outside of CERB. So there is life beyond this place. Lol. But I should also acknowledge that at some point in the past, somewhere in Canada, she's also received a favourable CERB recco. So CERB is a force for social interaction, for sure.
  24. Yep. He was both a wise guy and and a wise man. No man is so foolish but he may sometimes give another good counsel, and no man so wise that he may not easily err if he takes no other counsel than his own. He that is taught only by himself has a fool for a master. - Hunter S. Thompson And the supremely self-defining : When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. - Hunter S. Thompson And then, my personal fav, since I worked in the music industry for awhile: The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side. - Hunter S. Thompson Could be said about many things. Lol.
