Totally agree. Why spend almost the same bucks for a quick - and potentially risky - HJ from a busy MA when you could have the whole meal deal? Most independents working out of apartments take a maximum of 3 or 4 clients a day. Which adds up to at least several hundred dollars a day even if all the bookings are all half-hours, which they usually aren't. So, good living for them with no middle-person rake-off. Encourages a good service attitude. Plus, doing that volume, they have the energy and enthusiasm they need for good service. Low traffic, discrete, high energy, full service (and sometimes more - lol) and no agency BS. Support your local independent!

Personally, as long as a place is clean, I don't care. I'm not there for the architecture. And as Cat points out, it's difficult for everyone to have a great place all the time. But you do make a really good point about the amount of variety in bars, just spread a little too thinly for my taste. And as Seymour points out, they are also good for group events. Although ideally, I prefer my group events to be more intense and private.

It's a bit of a specialty favour, but is available more often than it's advertised. Searching on here would reveal that both Erin and Mia, for example, are comfortable with this favour. But you could also search the recommendations section using "COB", "CIM" and "BBBJ". SPs who provide those services are probably more open to COF/CIF than others. Then just PM them to ask for details of what may be on offer. PM is always best to confirm specialties.
