New Escorts Using Established Escort Names
VedaSloan replied to a topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
I would email the lady in question and say, hey look, I've been using this name for such and such amount of time, I clearly pre-date you, so pick another name. If she refused, so be it. I'm the better woman, I have the reputation that goes with the name--imitators will be found out quickly enough. -

Wow. Where do I even start with this one? First of all, demand for sexual services has NOTHING to do with the violence some sex workers experience and everything to do with the fact that we're criminalized. There is absolutely NO NEED to resort to the Swedish model, as there are CURRENTLY laws in place to deal with pimps and forced/coerced prostitution. -

There's only one Berlin and that's how it shall stay. If I ever hear there is another Berlin working Ottawa, we will have words. Haha. Some say imitation is the highest form of flattery, but I say, you're just lazy. -
Bad day at work? How to deal with it?
VedaSloan replied to ulixestrojan's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
We all have bad days and sometimes we can't afford to take time off, so we put on our best face and get on with it. Like everyone else. -

The issue is that providers offering BBFS are putting both themselves and their clients at risk, and contributing to the harmful stereotypes that sex workers are vectors of disease and don't protect ourselves. It's not about whether or not the provider is comfortable offering it, or what you do in your personal life. If you offer BBFS there is no way to guarantee that your client is STD/HIV free. If you slept with boyfriends unprotected, and didn't catch anything, consider yourself lucky. It doesn't make you unclean, just careless. -

It's a little yellow square with a mountain and a sun, and it's next to the "insert email" button (which looks like an envelope with a letter). All of these buttons are in the panel on the top of your entry and if you hover your mouse over each icon, it will tell you which is which. The panel also contains the buttons for "bold", "italics" and "underline" etc. -
The one and only time I saw an image of a woman breastfeeding an animal was in the liner notes of the Tori Amos album Boys for Pele and she's nursing a baby pig. I remember thinking, damn, that's kinda hot. But now I've seen this, and yeah, totally weird.

Cumshot - hot or not ?
VedaSloan replied to Royalfun's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I will join Meg on the "HOT" bandwagon. Like Angela, I also love to see the shot. Nothing hotter than making your partner splooge all over you. -
I've also heard them called Davids, after Michelangelo's famous sculpture. But that is hardly going to work for ladies too.
-
I call them "man-lines" but ladies have them too: that oh-so-sexy line on either side of your abs/hips.

As someone whose brain NEVER shuts off, I tried just about everything and finally my doctor prescribed Seroquel--it is NOT a sleeping pill. It is generally prescribed in much much larger doses to people with schizophrenia, as it is an anti-psychotic, but in small does, it has the off-label use of being a mild sedative. 50mg and I sleep like a baby. I don't feel groggy or overtired the next day either. And just as a note, while exercise during the day can help you feel sleepier at night, if you exercise within an hour of going to bed, you won't sleep because your body is all revved up from the exercise.

Not to be a party pooper, but I have a small issue with the phrasing of this question. Nobody asks whether guys spurting their hot loads are hot or not, and women squirting is basically the exact same thing. If a guy ever told me he didn't think squirting was hot, or was somehow grossed out by it, I can tell you right now, he would not be getting laid.

I have no desire to start that thread! It would just go soooooo terribly awry. It's unfortunate that most people are not aware of what Mother Theresa was really like (instructed nuns in Haiti to reuse needles until they were blunt; had upwards of $50 million in one bank account which could have been used to build a brand-new teaching hospital and yet, all her hospices were basically places where you went to die--that is if you converted to Catholiscism; openly stated that she was only doing the work she was doing in order to proselytize for the Catholic faith, etc). If anyone is interested, Christopher Hitchens has written a lot on this particular subject, as he was very vocal about her not being canonized.

How do you feel about 45 minute option?
VedaSloan replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Yes, I don't advertise 45 min rates, but if someone asked me, I'd be fine with it. Maybe I should come up with a 45 min option? -
Every single one of us ladies knows this vote is total bullshit. No offense to Emily herself, as this has NOTHING to do with her personally, but she should not have been nominated, her so-called contributions are the exact same contributions the rest of us make on a daily basis. She has not contributed to the public forums IN ANY WAY. She has not gone out of her way to post or contribute to the public forum discussions and as the rules clearly state, to be nominated you must have contributed in the forums and in chat. Posting ads is not a meaningful contribution, no matter how you want to slice it. Paint me however you want, at the end of the day, I still stand by what I've said. This forum has completely devolved into an "us vs them" mentality with a few members derailing important conversations (such as this one) by either completely disregarding our concerns or by trying to paint us as "bitchy" or whatever else. But let's face it guys, you don't come here to wank off with other guys, you come here so you can interact with all of the wonderful ladies who make up a part of CERB. Keep pissing us off, and many of the wonderful ladies you see here, won't be here anymore.

How To Have Sex With Escorts: A Primer
VedaSloan replied to VedaSloan's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
There is having sex, which is one thing, and being pounded for an hour--which is something totally different. Sadly, the latter is not a fun experience for anyone but the guy and frankly, I'm not a blow-up doll. If that's all you want, please just wank off. We are human beings and just because you are paying for my services doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want. I offer the services I am comfortable offering, and I do not view full service or sex as simply being pounded. As I said in my original post, I am aware that you are paying for a service, but you must remember that you will be satisfied within the boundaries of the service provider. Paying gets you in the door, what the two of you get up to is still largely determined by the provider. So let's not forget that. -
A Skill I Wish I Had

What they said^^ -
A few things. To address the original question: Yes, it is rude, and it shows that you are not taking responsibility for your own actions. You weren't worried about STD's until after the condom slipped off, so why is it now okay to ask the SP to prove she's clean? You are responsible for your own sexual health. That means getting tested regularly and having safe sex. When condoms slip or break, go and get tested again. It's as simple as that. By asking an escort if she'll show you her tests to prove she's healthy, you are placing the onus on her to provide a safe experience. And as I said, it is up to you to ensure your own sexual health. Sex workers are safer sex experts and use safer sex supplies at rates much higher than the general public. To address the assumption that sex workers are obviously sleeping with more partners than the average woman--it all depends. But to assume that because we're sex workers we have more partners--well that's just silly. You cannot know the number of partners we may or may not have. So don't assume that we're all high volume, sleeping with as many partners as we can. We'd all burn out pretty quick if that were the case. And I have to agree with Elizabeth Saunders--involving alcohol increases the chances of doing something stupid, such as having unsafe sex. You're more likely to catch something from a random chick at a bar than an escort. With regard to HIV only, I'd just like to point out that sex workers are not even considered a high risk by Public Health Canada.

The Deficient Single Person
VedaSloan replied to Daniel17's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I'm so glad you brought this up. I find myself doing the opposite--detaching from friends who are now married and having kids. While I am technically in a common-law marriage, we are both polyamorous and see other people as we feel like it. This has been really hard for people to swallow, especially my Mom who is convinced that once I hit 35 or so, I'll change my (lifelong) feelings about marriage (official) and having a family. Sorry Mom, if you want grandkids, you better hope my sister puts out. Haha. I find the idea of and the constant bombardment of heterosexual lifelong romantic monogamy to be complete and utter bullshit. The reason the nuclear family is pushed is because governments want you to keep reproducing so you'll make more workers for the establishment, etc. Which is why the GLBTQ community doesn't fit with the establishment--they're not procreating. It's also why in the hierarchy of so-called "acceptable" relationships, white, gay males who adopt are more accepted than others in the LGBTQ community (accepted by society at large and within some gay communties)(homonationalism--google it people! Or read Jasbir Puar's book "Terrorist Assemblages: Homonationalism in Queer Times"). Lifelong (sexual) monogamy is not natural, I don't care what anyone says or tells me. Bio-politics and biopower (the government regulation of subjects through various techniques for subjugating bodies and controlling populations)is something I'm totally fascinated by and Foucault's work on the subject is something I hope to become more of an expert on in grad school.
