Offering any discount or special, in the long-term is bad for our business. 1. It implies you're not doing well. 2. The clients who paid the special rate won't pay the full rate, so any increase in clients is temporary. 3. The lower your rate the more clients you have to see to pay your bills, which means you burn out faster.

Learn to budget. I have clients who live on disability and they still pay my full rate. I also wanted to add that offering you a discount is insulting to every client who pays the full rate.
