  1. Personally, the only reasons I can see for not giving a board handle when asked is that you are trying to be deceitful.
  2. Yay! I was also wondering where you've been as of late! You haven't been posting as much and I miss you! I can't wait to see your new stuff :)
  3. Flight of the Conchords and Mitch Hedburg! Wooot. My favourite episode of FoC is definitely when Brett buys a new cup and then they have no money so they have to prostitute themselves.
  4. There used to be an entire website devoted to pix of camel toes, but it wasn't just attractive women. It was ANY and ALL camel toes. I can't find it now though :(
  5. I was going to post that I am trying to bring back the word "gnarly." Also, this is off topic, but I meant to give you props on your username before. Not many people know of the greatness of Surf Nazis Must Die.
  6. Here are some links to some of my favourite comedy bits. Bill Burr's muffin joke: Todd Barry on neck tattoos: Dan Telfer "The Best Dinosaur" : Patton Oswalt "America Has Spoken": Share your faves! This could become the best thread for laughs! Feeling down, check the comedy thread, etc. etc.
  7. I rub my feet together when I'm trying to fall asleep. Rather than saying "Oh, I haven't listened to that album yet" or "I haven't read that yet" I will say "I haven't had a chance to grok it in fullness." It's a reference to Stranger in a Strange Land. I sleep totally naked. I think I've seen every zombie movie worth seeing, including foreign language. I love to pop zits. Gross, but true. It's just so satisfying. The word "moist" grosses me out. Pregnant women creep me out. No, I do not want to feel it kick. That shit is going to burst out of you Alien-styles.
  8. I am a loner to the nth degree. Socializing, as much as I like it, is exhausting. I very much prefer to be alone with my cat and playing some sort of computer/video game (procrastination from papers, yo!) or reading, than going out. Also, I find all the new-fangled things that phones can do (check email, surf the net, etc. etc.) really overwhelming and for me, mostly pointless. When I do make an effort to go out, it is usually because I want to see someone or catch a show--I certainly don't want to be checking Facebook every two seconds. It makes me nostalgic for the days when all phones did were phone people.
  9. One of the biggest stereotypes that sex worker activists are constantly fighting against is that we are all drug addicts. Posting that you are an addict in some people's minds will only prove that stereotype. Yes it is true that there are recovering addicts in all industries, but the sex industry is one of the few where we're all tarred with the same brush if one of us is. And as Tiffany pointed out, from a consumer point of view, what you post on these public forums basically amounts to advertising. It is bad PR for you if you are posting that you are an addict--recovering or not. If a potential client knows you are an addict, maybe they will also wonder whether or not their money is going to your next fix, or whether or not you might try to rob them.

  11. You know, SA, I think I was one of the ones giving you shit for using that term, but I think I've come over to the dark side. :icon_biggrin: It just seems the most appropriate out of the words available to describe our encounters.
  12. You can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want free speech, then you can't be worrying why MOD hasn't ended the thread. It was not my intention to "bash" those posting personal stories, though it came out that way. And again, because it was lost in the rant, I said that folks should think about what they're posting and where they are posting it. There are a number of groups devoted to special topics. I posted whilst cranky, and realize, yes, many of you are right, I don't have to read the threads. I was frustrated because as of late, I've come on CERB and read the titles of posts and gone, "ugh, really?" If it has gotten to the point where I don't want to read half of what is being posted, there is something wrong! I love this site, I've posted over two thousand times. I don't keep coming back here everyday because I have nothing better to do, I come back because I like reading the threads. BUT NOT LATELY. That's all I'm saying. I guess I'm what I'm asking is for some lighter, happier posts! And again, I'm not saying don't reach out if you're having a rough go of it, I just don't know if the public forums are necessarily the best place.
  13. God I shaved my pubes a few weeks ago when I was short on cash and couldn't afford the wax and never again! I didn't want to leave the house because I was just going to be groping myself the entire time. SO ITCHY.
  14. Ok, calling my clients "patients" makes me laugh too hard. I don't even use "client" most of the time. Half the time, I will say something like, "Oh I've got a dude later" or "I've got a thing at 3pm." Vague. That's me.
  15. Oh no worries, I knew you weren't directing it at me specifically, but I did get a warning for this thread, so....perhaps I should follow my own advice, and think before I post. Hahaha.
  16. Sometimes my bluntness gets the better of me! I certainly could have worded my post less harshly.
  17. First my apologies to those I offended; everyone has a cranky day. But, people SHOULD be hesitant to post personal stories. I will give you an example as to why. In the thread about personal recovery, many ladies chimed in that they too were recovering addicts. While I can empathize, do you really think that's good PR, either for yourself or the industry?
  18. Nope, I'm not saying that at all. Mostly I was trying to say think about what you're posting and where you're posting it. Nope, but there is a cat-lovers group now where I can post all my cat-related awesomenes. The point of my post which has largely been misconstrued due to my own ranting, was that some topics are best left unsaid, or in a better area. The personal stories should be left off the board, I'm sorry. This isn't a self-help forum.
  19. Well my point about the STD threads are just that--a lot of the posts are not that informed to begin with and just spread about more misinformation. And by panic, I meant moral panic, not a specific panic about catching an STD. And obviously you haven't read much of that thread or you'd realize that half the members here panic about STD's and worry and shit. Getting tested doesn't end that worry. And I wasn't saying DON'T POST HEALTH INFO. I said POST IT IN THE RELEVANT SECTION. Additional Comments: Actually we do have a section for jokes, it's called JOKES.
  20. I'm not saying ditch the community aspect. I'm saying think about what you're posting and where you're posting it before you post it. There are places for these kinds of personal stories. The general board is for general shit.
  21. Whenever I'm sick that usually also equals a stuffed up nose. So I eat a lot of spicy food. It clears out the nasal passages right quick. That's my biggest pet peeve--when you're too stuffed up to taste awesome food. Then I sit around playing Civilization 5 until I've conquered the shit out of whichever civilization is giving me crap this go around. I also only recently discovered what the hell "Angry Birds" is. TOO HILARIOUS. Can this game be downloaded for Android phones? That's what I want to know.
  22. I am another escort who frequently hears complaints that I never answer my phone. Up until this week, I still had classes and I'm not about to answer my phone in the middle of class. When I'm at home, I don't carry my cell phone around with me to every part of my apartment, so maybe I was in the shower, or on the landline with my mother. Who knows? The point is, leave me a message and I will call you back. Just the other night, I was on the phone with my mother and my cell starts ringing and I ignore it. This person then went on to phone me 8 times in a row, once a minute. I kid you not. I had to put my mom on hold to answer my cell just to tell this asshat to leave a message. If I didn't answer the first time, I'm BUSY/UNAVAILABLE. What is so hard about leaving a quick message?
  23. What I love about CERB are the various different perspectives. I have always enjoyed being an SP because I get to meet with people I would normally NEVER come across in my day-to-day experiences.
  24. I'm not saying don't post your stories, I'm just saying put them in a more appropriate place than the general forum.
